Abstract

The economic empowerment program for the PKK Group in Durian Village aims to enhance members' capacity in financial management and investment through digitalization. This program equips PKK members with skills to effectively manage household finances, understand the importance of income diversification, and manage financial risks. Members are trained to use digital technology to record finances, create budgets, and independently analyze their financial situations. Through training and mentoring, members learn to use digital financial applications to help track expenses and income. Additionally, the program develops entrepreneurial and time-management skills, enabling PKK members to run small businesses independently and increase productivity. Results show a significant improvement in understanding; the average pretest score was 50, which increased to 83.25 on the posttest. Other success indicators include increased household income, the opening of brokerage accounts as an initial investment step, improved access to financial services, and enhanced economic welfare and household independence. This program is expected to be an initial step toward greater economic independence for families and inclusive local economic development in Durian Village. With digital technology adoption in financial management, Durian Village is anticipated to serve as a model of technology-based economic empowerment in rural areas.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance understanding and build participation among first-time voters in the 2024 Regional Election through socialization activities conducted by students of the Community Service Program (MBKM) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of UNTAN in collaboration with the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Pontianak City. The research employs a qualitative method utilizing secondary data. Data collection techniques include literature review and observation. In this activity, students, together with Bawaslu, conducted direct socialization at SMA SANTUN UNTAN and held a meeting at Harris Hotel, Pontianak City, to provide insights into the election process, the importance of exercising voting rights, and the role of election supervision. The results indicate high enthusiasm from students during the question-and-answer session, reflecting an increased understanding of the importance of participation and oversight in the electoral process. The activities also created an interactive and enjoyable learning environment through rewards for active participants, thus encouraging student participation in the elections. It is hoped that this socialization will foster a generation of informed, critical, and actively engaged first-time voters in Indonesia's democracy.

Abstract

Gadungan Village, located in Wates District, Kediri Regency, is a major producer of sweet potatoes, with challenges including sandy soil and reliance on rainfed agriculture. This study aims to evaluate the village’s potential for developing sweet potato-based products, such as sweet potato brownies, and explore solutions to optimize its utilization through training and mentoring. The main issues identified include the limited use of sweet potatoes with traditional methods and a lack of knowledge on innovative processing and marketing through social media. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that the training successfully enhanced participants' skills in making sweet potato brownies and understanding product marketing via social media. This intervention is expected to increase the community's income and optimize the use of local resources. Prior to the training, only 40% of participants understood how to develop innovative and attractive product variants. After the training, this figure increased to 80%. The sustainability of the business post-training is ensured through ongoing support in production management, finance, and digital-based marketing.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to analyze the application of production cost calculation using the full costing method. The full costing method covers all cost elements, both variable and fixed. This activity is carried out using a quantitative research approach, where data in the form of numbers is collected or interview results are converted into numerical data. Primary data in this activity is obtained directly from MSMEs through documentation, interviews, and observations. The results of community service activities on two MSMEs, namely Kandang Anak Ragil and Kenari by Coxy, show that both still use simple calculation methods without applying applicable accounting standards to determine the cost of production. In practice, these MSMEs have not calculated all costs incurred during the production process. In addition, both MSMEs tend to use market prices without conducting in-depth analysis when setting selling prices, so that the profits obtained are not in accordance with expectations.

Abstract

The problem of increasingly scarce land for fish farming and water for fisheries activities can be overcome with the help of technology. With the use of more creative small spaces and conservation of cultivation water. This community service activity aims to provide education and training to students of SMK Al Wahyu Ciracas, East Jakarta about catfish farming in buckets and the use of water as plant fertilizer to overcome the problems of business activities carried out on limited land. Community service activities were carried out on 50 students of SMK Al Wahyu Ciracas, East Jakarta. The implementation of community service was carried out by socializing and demonstrating budikdamber and utilizing its wastewater. This activity resulted in an increase in participants' knowledge and skills by 88% about budikdamber and the use of water as plant fertilizer. Catfish farming in buckets can be a solution to providing fish and vegetables simultaneously for limited land and more efficient water use, increasing family independence (nutritional needs and income), and is easy to do at home with relatively little capital. budikdamber produces wastewater that can be used to irrigate plants because it contains a lot of C-organic nutrients, potassium, ammonia (NH3), nitrate (NO3), nitrite (NO2), pH, nitrogen and phosphorus needed by plants. The advantage of giving catfish waste fertilizer to plants is that the plants become healthier, greener, fresher, more durable and do not turn yellow quickly.

Abstract

The latest assessment paradigm emphasizes that assessment is not only used for assessment but also for the learning process. It encourages teachers at SMK Pariwisata Kertayasa Singakerta Ubud to innovate in the assessment process, such as online assessments. The observation results showed that teachers needed training and mentoring on the online assessments. It underlies the implementation of the community service program carried out by the team of the English Language Education Study Program, FKIP Unmas Denpasar entitled “Training and Mentoring Online Assessment Implementation for SMK Pariwisata Kertayasa Singakerta Ubud Teachers.” After the observation, training and mentoring activities were then carried out on 2 and 15 July 2024. The training activities showed an increase in understanding of the participants regarding the implementation of online assessments, especially Quizizz, Kahoot and Formative. This can be seen from the pre-test and post-test results. The teachers also showed their enthusiasm and activeness. In the mentoring activity, the teachers were also able to implement online assessments well. Abstract

Poverty is not only a matter of imbalance in the value of one's income and expenditure, but more than that, poverty is also a mental model problem. Poverty mitigation is not only completed in the economic sector, but also in education, because the education sector plays a vital role in resolving mental model problems. In Indonesia, one of the problems of education is inequality, which is caused by infrastructure and finally results in the ability to organize education optimally. Malingmati is one of the most poverty-stricken villages in Bojonegoro, and Banyuasin is the most inaccessible hamlet. This creates a domino effect of many people who deliberately look poor in order to keep getting donations, and this is a mental model problem, not an economic one. SERA is an alternative school that was initiated to develop children's mindset to be brave enough to aspire and gain access to a wider world. SERA is carried out using social intervention and participatory methods. SERA is implemented with coloring activities, creativity demonstration, storytelling, literacy sharpening, and health education. The results of SERA found that many children who participated in this programme experienced significant improvements in various aspects including self-confidence, aspirations, creativity, critical thinking skills, and public speaking. These advancements effectively contributed to a shift in their mindset, which previously tended to be more self-centered.

Abstract

Digital transformation is a strategic step for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to address the challenges of the digital era, such as global competition and changing consumer behavior. This article discusses the implementation of digital transformation through online ride-hailing applications (Grab, Gojek, and ShopeeFood) and digital payment systems (QRIS) to expand markets and improve transaction efficiency. Through a community service approach, training was conducted for home-based MSMEs to familiarize them with these technologies, select suitable platforms, and practice the registration process until account verification. The results indicate that MSMEs tend to prefer ShopeeFood due to its simpler registration process, lower fees, and direct integration with QRIS. Intensive assistance throughout the process demonstrated that digital technology could be effectively adopted, supporting MSMEs in reaching broader markets and enhancing customer experiences.
