Abstract

The discussion in this paper is about the aesthetic review of the Sibolga Pesisir Payung Dance as one of the traditional arts in North Sumatra Province. The method in this paper uses a qualitative descriptive method, through an analysis that describes the situation in the field about Payung dance. This study concludes that the dance on the Sibolga Coast has a very touching meaning, and contains its own beauty value for the community, as seen in the presentation of the Tari Payung from the Sibolga Coastal area. The Tari Payung is a traditional dance of the Sibolga Coastal community which is included in the Sikambang art. This dance is always displayed in the traditional Sumando event (night barinai), or when the bride and groom are side by side on the aisle. This makes the Tari Payung unique, because this dance has messages and advice for the bride and groom as a new couple in building a household.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an encyclopedia on the concept of traditional dances from Nias ethnic groups in North Sumatra as a source of learning in the process of creating. This research is directed at a reference book product in the form of an encyclopedia. From this research process, the results of the development of a reference book for the local traditional dance of Nias, North Sumatra emerged. This research uses research and development (Research and Development or R&D) methods. The location or place in this study was carried out in the cities of Medan and Nias with data collection techniques obtained through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. After all the required data have been completed, the next step is to analyze the data using a qualitative paradigm using project based research, which is obtained through data reduction,The average value obtained during the material expert feasibility test was 4.75 with a very good category and no revision. The average value obtained at the time of this media feasibility test was 4.375 with a very good category.The results of the development of this Nias traditional dance encyclopedia book can be used as a reference for students and the community as a source of the creative process for Nias traditional dances.

Abstract

The role of supervisors increases the ability of teachers to carry out an integrated learning process in the implementation of the main tasks and functions of supervisors to provide guidance and guidance to teachers. The role of the supervisor is very much needed by the teacher in terms of assistance in preparing the administration of learning planning, the ability of the teacher in the process of implementing learning, the ability to assess learning outcomes, the ability to use media and learning resources, utilize the learning environment and resources, and use learning technology. The administration of fiqh learning planning consists of 10 points, namely annual programs, semester programs, syllabus, lesson plans, educational calendars, face-to-face schedules, daily agendas, list of grades, KKM and student attendance, and monitored through standard process supervision activities in madrasas once.

Abstract

The role of the Islamic religious education teacher is an effort made by a teacher to foster, nurture and direct students to always understand the teachings of Islam as a whole, understand its meaning and purpose, carry out what was ordered by Allah and His Apostle then become a prohibition in order to apply it in life. daily. It is very important to instill the values of Islamic education in the family. Every parent wants their child to be a pious child, which gives them pleasure and pride. This research was conducted in MTs. Private Al-Azhar Medan Sunggal which aims to find out what roles are played by Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Moral Development, find out how students' morals are, and know the factors of student moral development at Mts. Private Al-Azhar Medan Sunggal. This study uses a qualitative method with field research. The results showed that the teacher showed efforts to provide Islamic religious education in moral development to all students with formal education about religion and morality. The ability of students regarding education in moral development is emphasized Faith in God, Obedience to God absolutely, namely carrying out all His commands and Loving God above all else.

Abstract

Monologue is a literary work that is included as a prose study which was created not only to be understood, but more than that monologue must be enjoyed, lived and interpreted. The study of monologue is part of literary learning that can be performed in a stage or performance through the process of show a single drama with various sources as a script, one of which is a short story. During the current phenomenal Covid 19 pandemic, the impact is very significant in affecting all aspects of life, but there are many prose literary works that can be performed by literary actors, including students, in appreciating the pandemic atmosphere. Short stories in German literature can be performed through monologue performances both online and offline as a concept for the study of prose studies during a pandemic. The output can produce an anthology of monologues as an interesting prose literature teaching material to be discussed and investigated in research. Therefore, this study aims to; (1) to develop teaching materials for German literature or literature to improve the skills of German-language students in prose studies, (2) to become learning models or practical learning models in German literature or literature courses. The model used in this study is Model Richey and Klein (2007). From the results of the research, it will be obtained that the German monologue anthology book during the covid19 pandemic time as teaching materials and digital media for learning literary practice and its output also becomes an indexed journal article or proceedings on a national and international scale.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop the application of articulate storyline learning media and Production crite lémentaire textbooks to improve the writing skills of students of the French Language Education Study Program, Medan State University. a companion for the explanation of the grammar section from Chapter I to Chapter V so that students can study independently and use the ISBN Production crite lémentaire textbook. The resulting products are in the form of web and applications that can be operated offline on laptops, tablets and smartphones. Another target to be achieved in this research is the published indexed international journals. The research method in this study uses research and development (Research and Development) Borg and Gall consists of ten implementation steps including (1) research and data collection, (2) planning, (3) product draft development, (4) field trials, (5) improvement of initial product, (6) field trial, (7) refinement of product resulting from field test, (8) field implementation test, (9) refinement of final product, and (10) dissemination and implementation. The data needed in this study will be collected through a student needs analysis questionnaire.

Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the impact of using Podcasting and Video casting on improving communication skills for Eighth graders in Madaba Schools. The study was using a quasi-experimental approach, splitting the study sample into three groups: Podcasting (25) students, Video casting (28) students, and the control group (21) students. An oral test scale for students' communication abilities was developed, and its validity and reliability were validated by administering it to a pilot sample of (25) students who were not part of the main sample group. According to the findings, the use of Podcasting and Video casting leads to statistically significant differences in the level of Eighth -grade students' acquisition of communication skills in the English language when compared to their peers in the control group, who were taught in the conventional method. Furthermore, the findings revealed that video casting had a more significant positive influence on enhancing students' communication abilities than podcasting. Finally, several recommendations were made, including the need to activate the use of Podcasting and Video casting in teaching communication skills, as well as the need to re-evaluate current English language curricula to include classroom activities that are in line with the requirements of using Podcasting and Videoc asting in teaching the English language.

Abstract

The 2018 Program for International Student Assessment survey released in 2019 showed that the reading literacy HOTS skills of Indonesian students was low where Indonesia was ranked 74th out of 79 countries. .To improve students HOTS reading literacy the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education developed a Literacy Improvement Program at the National Junior High School level in 2021 using The Reading to Learn Approach. In this context, the objective of this research were to develop Students Worksheet Based on The Reading To Learn Approach to improve Students' Higher Order Thinking Skills on the Competence of Reading Narrative Texts. This research is part of research and development namely stage of needs analysis. The approach used was a qualitative approach. The study was conducted in MTsN 2 Medan. This study focused on the Needs analysis stage of teachers and students regarding the worksheet based on the reading to learn approach that is going to developed. The instrument to collect the data was interview The findings shows that most of the respondents expect the worksheet of Narrative Text should be developed based on their needs. They felt very hard to read the texts in English because the materials were irrellevant and not interesting. The students also confessed their current worksheet of Narrative Text was inappropriate for them and the process of learning was boring. Therefore, some of the aspects of learning also needed to be concerned such as learning style, learning technique, the way of doing the task, the length and topic of the texts, the situation of the class, the activities in the worksheet, and the difficulties of the students, in order to make the students easier to learn English.

Abstract

This study examines the use of Moodle-Based E-Learning on the website for german reading skills A2. The purpose of this study is to define and explain how Moodle-based e-learning can be used in german reading skills A2 because of the low achievement of students in reading skills and not optimal use of the internet in supporting learning success. LMS is one way to develop online learning or e-learning, which is a web-based learning management application that facilitates learners to learn properly in a virtual classroom, a class in a virtual world. The LMS used in this study is a Moodle-based LMS. An analytical descriptive strategy was used as a research method. Therefore, the use of moodle- based e-learning is very suitable for use in learning German, given that currently the world of education cannot be separated from technology and internet networks, besides that there are many educational institutions that have been facilitated by infrastructure in utilizing existing technology. It is also proven that learning with the Moodle as LMS application is more effective than conventional learning in improving students' reading skills. From some of the results and research findings, several suggestions related to this research were put forward, the point of which is that it is time for a change in mindset in responding to the internet as one of the factors that support learning success.

Abstract

In the 21st century the learning process must integrate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in learning activities. The development of information and communication technology causes the need for learning to also grow rapidly and the concept of learning can be implemented with the help of technology such as the internet. In 2020, internet-based learning activities have been widely implemented in the field of education, from elementary to university levels due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the world. This condition requires physical distancing to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19. All schools and colleges responded by carrying out learning from home, through online learning with the use of information technology. The purpose of this research is to: (1) develop teaching materials for French class X high school based curriculum 2013 using Instagram media, (2) assess the feasibility of teaching materials for French class X high school based curriculum 2013 using Instagram media, and (3) explain the effectiveness of the materials teach French class X subjects in high school based on the 2013 curriculum using Instagram media. This development research uses the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research instrument used was a questionnaire and a written test. The product of research results (teaching materials for French class X SMA subjects must be validated by experts before being tested in the field (experiments).
