ABDIRA (Journal of Community Service): Journal of Community Service contains the results of community service and empowerment activities in the form of application of various fields of science including health, education, engineering, agriculture, agriculture, social humanities, computers, entrepreneurship and economics. This journal is published regularly twice a year in April and October. The purpose of this journal is to disseminate ideas and results of the dedication and research conducted by universities that can be applied in society. ABDIRA contains various activities carried out in handling and overcoming various problems that occur in society by applying science and technology which can then be useful for improving community welfare.

Abstract

Humbang Hasundutan Regency (Humbahas) is one of the areas in the province of North Sumatra which has a very large agricultural land. Changes in land use have given rise to a variety of new problems. Whereas agricultural development can be done through; intensification, extensification, diversification and rehabilitation in an integrated manner to increase farmers' income. If ecotourism is the management of nature and community culture that ensures sustainability and welfare, while conservation is an effort to maintain the continuity of the use of natural resources for the present and the future. Ecotourism will be an alternative system for the community to increase the potential of the land in their area. The purpose of holding this service activity is to change the mindset of the public humbahas about how to optimize land use so as to avoid polemics over land grabs. The method used to achieve this goal is to carry out several stages including surveys, socialization, procurement of tools and goods, technical training and assistance. The results of this service activity have changed the mindset of the Humbahas community for the better as evidenced by the maximum optimization of land.

Abstract

Nursing documentation is the most important part of providing nursing care given by nurses to patients, especially for breast cancer. This community service activity is aimed at increasing the knowledge of nurses in providing nursing care and documenting by the guidelines from the Indonesian National Nurses Association (PPNI), namely 3S: Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards (IDHS), Indonesian Nursing Outcomes Standards (SLKI) and Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standards (SIKI). ). This training is provided online, which begins with a pre-test, then lectures and discussion/problem-based solving followed by a post-test. Participants in this training were all student nurses and nurses with a total of 285 participants. The results of this training found an increase in knowledge of the application of the 3S covering signs and symptoms, diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes. It is hoped that from the results of this activity nurses have started to implement nursing care and document it using this 3S.

Abstract

In today's technological era, business actors can no longer be separated from the role of computers. Small and Medium Enterprises is a business that is built on individual ideas that exist in a community environment. In this case, small and medium enterprises also play a very important role in the economy and participate in helping the government. One of the small and medium enterprises in Dusun 2 Desa Ofa Padang Mahondang management still uses conventional methods in its books, such as information on goods data, transactions and financial reports so that there are various problems faced in calculating the amount of stock of goods, goods sold and financial reports that are not balanced. E-Kasir is an application that can help perpetrators in managing these problems in monitoring data on goods, stock of goods, goods sold, transaction reports. As for the expected results in this community service, small and medium business actors in Dusun 2 Desa Ofa Padang Mahondang can apply E-Kasir as a supporting application of daily operations and help solve existing problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is as a form to improve the community's economy during the COVID-19 pandemic by utilizing waste from papaya leaves. With this training in making scrubs, it is hoped that it can increase creativity and public awareness of the potential for waste around to be used as business opportunities, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. Currently commercially available cosmetic formulations (exfoliants) for topical use are alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids and retinoids, which can cause adverse reactions. Therefore, it is necessary to use cosmetic ingredients consisting of effective and non-irritating exfoliants, one of which is the use of papaya leaves which are formulated as scrubs. The target of this activity is the residents of Mugirejo Village, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. Education and training on making scrubs went smoothly and without any problems. All residents followed the training process carefully and were very enthusiastic, as evidenced by the full attention of the residents until the end of the activity. Through representatives of community leaders, this activity is considered very useful and is expected to increase the potential for utilizing papaya leaf waste which can be used as a business opportunity.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the teaching and learning process is encouraged to be carried out online at home. This online learning activity needs more assistance, especially parents who are at home. The role of parents at home is very important and necessary, because the learning process affects the quality of learning outcomes. This service aims to provide education regarding the role of parents in assisting early childhood education children in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used is socialization to parents of early childhood. The result of this service activity is to provide knowledge and understanding for parents in accompanying children during online learning for early childhood education. The activeness of parents in accompanying children is a determinant of the extent to which children's learning activities will have a positive impact on children's development.

Abstract

The activity of community dedication which is done at MA DDI Padanglampe was to increase the legal awareness the use of suffrage for novice voters by using need assestment method, legal counselling, accompaniment and evaluation for the students of MA DDI Padanglampe. The purpose of this activity is to make the students understand their important role in the election. Therefore, the activity of legal counselling and accompaniment were programmed for the students of MA DDI Padanglampe and the results were; they are capable to determine which categories are included as novice voters; ready to objectively evaluate the nominating figures; and realize the importance of using suffrage in election.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology requires mathematics teachers to master mathematical software applications. However, some mathematics teachers have not mastered technology in mathematics learning, especially mathematical software applications. The solution to this problem is organizing community service activities through mathematical software application training in mathematics learning. The community service activity uses training modules that provide detailed and complete explanations and examples presented excitingly, so the participants are not bored. A series of community service activities include materials delivery, training and mentoring, discussion, and evaluations. Mathematics teachers were actively involved during the activities to the end and evaluation. This community service activity aims to improve the quality of mathematics teachers in utilizing mathematical software applications in mathematics learning. The responses to the training activities were very positive, so it can be concluded that the training activities were carried out well and the achievements in accordance with the goals and targets specified.

Abstract

Information technology is currently developing very rapidly. This makes an impact on various aspects. One that is affected is the marketing aspect. This service activity aims to utilize online media, namely the google site for marketing media for MSME products. The materials presented in this training include the use of google site for online marketing and tutorials on how to create a website with the google site. The number of participants in this training on the use of the google site is 20 people, as for the implementation time, which is on July 2-3, 2022. The method used is identification, providing solutions to problems, filling out materials, then continuing with direct practice and discussions. The result of this training is that interns are expected to be able to create a website to support product marketing and increase product sales and can be widely known through online media by utilizing the google site.

Abstract

The implementation of this service aims to share knowledge and increase potential for teachers in the region, especially in the Gunung Pandak Village area, Kec. Performances, Kab. Malang during the pandemic, to increase knowledge about the world of writing scientific journals. The method follows the drawings of each component of the implementation, including observation, identification of problems related to authentic assessments with partners, as well as plans offered to the implementing team for partner service. Analysis of solving problems faced by teachers, namely: needs analysis related to the renewal of an authentically based assessment system. Authentic assessment needs to be introduced to all components, procedures, and developments in learning, while problem analysis is carried out in the form of teacher abilities related to evaluations that have been carried out through participant activities being able to make articles for academic journals that they can use for the purposes of rank or certification. In the implementation process, it is influenced by various factors, including the appeal of the principal who does not require to write a journal. This activity was carried out by an assistant to MINU teachers while learning to write scientific journal articles, namely the writing movement for teachers to gain more useful knowledge.

Abstract

Pangkahkulon Village is designated as the Ujungpangkah Mangrove Essential Ecosystem Area (KEE MUP) because the mangrove forest area in this area is a migration route and habitat for pelicans from Australia and is designated as a Ramsar site. Awareness to maintain the mangrove ecosystem is carried out by rehabilitating mangroves by the community supervisory group (POKMASWAS) Pangkahkulon. However, Pangkahkulon Village does not have a mangrove nursery area that is easily accessible yet, it takes approximately 40 minutes by boat to get to the nursery area which is located at the estuary of the Bengawan Solo River. Based on the results of discussions with Pangkahkulon Village officials, the right mangrove nursery area is in the village port area which is a strategic area for various community activities. This Community Service (PKM) activity will produce a mangrove nursery area according to its designation, training on nursery mechanisms from mangrove nursery experts as well as learning media for mangrove ecosystem functions. In addition, the output of this activity can help the village government plan to open a mangrove edupark in Pangkahkulon Village.
