ABDIRA (Journal of Community Service): Journal of Community Service contains the results of community service and empowerment activities in the form of application of various fields of science including health, education, engineering, agriculture, agriculture, social humanities, computers, entrepreneurship and economics. This journal is published regularly twice a year in April and October. The purpose of this journal is to disseminate ideas and results of the dedication and research conducted by universities that can be applied in society. ABDIRA contains various activities carried out in handling and overcoming various problems that occur in society by applying science and technology which can then be useful for improving community welfare.

Abstract

Learning in basic accounting can generally be grouped as accounting for service companies and accounting for trading companies. Community service activities aim to evaluate the absorption of high school students regarding accounting material, especially in trading companies. This community service activity is carried out by providing online tutorials to ABC High School students in Surabaya, then the students answer the practice questions that have been prepared. The results of this community service activity show that high school students who get the results that the majority of students still have a lot to explore accounting material in trading companies. The results of the evaluation showed that the students had quite good understanding of general journals in trading companies, corrections journals, capital and profit calculations and understanding of the perpetual method. However, students still have difficulty understanding adjusting journals, COGS calculations and understanding the periodic method. Educators can still spur students' cognitive processes by implementing more effective learning so that learning objectives can be achieved.

Abstract

Tutoring plays a very important role in the development of student learning, because not only what is obtained at school, but learning outside school hours has a large enough impact and has an effect on student interest in learning. Tutoring that is carried out can help students achieve optimal development, so as not to hinder student development. Students whose development is hampered or disturbed will affect their development or learning abilities. We use this method of service activities directly and interview science teachers. This service activity is carried out by applying face-to-face tutoring by conducting learning related to simple practicum using learning media. The results of this tutoring activity motivate students in learning and increase student interest in learning to become more creative and active individuals.

Abstract

Based on the lack of understanding related to a good marketing system, how to record good financial statements, and their lack of analyzing the existing market analysis. So the service team tries to provide assistance related to the marketing and financial aspects by having a goal where IKM actors are able to market their products well by analyzing existing competitors by looking at market share. So that with this service, it is expected to be able to help SMEs to market and manage their finances well. The service method is carried out by conducting a survey first, pre-research, carrying out service, as well as an independent training process that is carried out at the final stage. Therefore, the owners and workers of the IKM are very active when the material is given and active at the application stage so that they understand and are able to deal with market conditions. This is very helpful for SMEs to determine the cost of goods, the purchase price of materials, and the selling price that is feasible to be marketed and become competitors for the same business actors.

Abstract

Massive hoax news in the community is very disturbing efforts to control the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia. Hoax news causes confusion and public unrest. Hoax news spread massively in the community during the Covid-19 pandemic, one of which was due to the weak ability of public media literacy in Indonesia. Overcoming this requires education about media and information literacy so that people have the ability to distinguish credible media and information. This service activity is intended to improve media and information literacy skills to prevent disinformation during the Covid-19 Pandemic in the school environment. This educational activity is carried out using the counseling method which is carried out face-to-face. Submission of material using lecture and question and answer methods. The results of the evaluation of service activities through pre-test and post-test showed an increase in knowledge about media and information literacy. Education about media and information literacy can be used as a means to empower target groups in choosing credible media and information.

Abstract

An understanding of financial management can monitor or see the extent to which a business is generating profits, business performance, controlling the flow of business funds, but there are still many small business actors in Nagasepaha Village who feel they do not need information in financial management because it is considered difficult and all the limitations it has. This has an impact on the continuity of business actors in Nagasepaha Village. This service is carried out through the Satya Dharma School of Economics Research and Community Service Center in collaboration with the Nagsepaha Village Head Office. In this Community Service activity, small business actors are given financial management material, namely about insight into the importance of financial management to manage a business. Implementation of activities using the lecture, discussion and question and answer method by starting with the provision of material on management of profits in small businesses that can be understood by small business actors. The results of this community service activity can help small business actors increase their knowledge and understanding of financial management

Abstract

The continuous development of technology and the changing concept of working from home makes people inevitably move to the world of digitalization. Optimizing the use of information technology is a mandatory step for the community to continue to survive and develop. This causes social media to evolve faster, as can be seen from community interactions that are no longer one-way but two-way without any obstacles. The counseling activity delivered material on wise use of smartphones for children's education, introduction of social media and its use, building and creating businesses in the era of digitalization, bookkeeping management and product marketing through social media and hoaxes. The method used is an outreach method with the target of mothers. The result of community service activities is the development of ideas, especially to improve the family economy by using social media as a forum to open up business opportunities and overcome hoax news on social media.

Abstract

On the website page there is information in the form of text, image, audio, video data or a combination of all that information, where the website can be accessed through a link that is interrelated with one another. There are various benefits that can be obtained from the presence of a website, including as a promotional media and access to information. Utilizing online media by building a website for BUMDes gemblegan will certainly be very useful in the process of promoting activities and products produced by the village. However, with the construction of a website, of course you need an admin who will manage the information contained in the page. This is to provide access and quality to the quality of information and products that will be displayed on the website page. Providing training to equip administrators who will become website admins is certainly very necessary, in order to manage all content on the website, both posting articles, comments, tags, categories, and media that will be inserted in the website page.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tuntutan pendidikan saat ini dimana guru harus mengembangkan penilaian terhadap peserta didik yang mampu selian mengukur kemampuan juga dilaksanakan dengan cara menyenangkan.. Selain itu, guru juga harus mampu memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi dalam pelaksanaan ujian dengan CBT. Kahoot adalah salah satu software yang dapat digunakan dalam pelaksanaan CBT. Software ini sangat mudah untuk dioperasikan karena tidak memerlukan Bahasa pemrograman yang rumit. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan untuk dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada guru dalam melaksanakan evaluasi yang menyenangkan, memberikan kemampuan kepada guru untuk dapat menggunakan Kahoot, dan mengaplikasikan soal ujian yang telah disusun ke dalam Kahoot. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pada bagian akhir kegiatan diberikan angket respon peserta. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian ini, dapat disimpulkan antara (1) Kegiatan ini telah memberikan pemahaman kepada guru dalam menggunakan Media Kahoot sebagai media pembalajaran teruatam evaluasi pembelajaran secara interaktif; (2) Kegiatan ini telah memampukan guru untuk mengaplikasikan soal tes kedalam Kahoot; (4) Peserta sangat antusias dalam mengikuti pelatihan ini.

Abstract

In the face of the times, especially the development of increasingly advanced Science and Technology, adequate skills are needed to support the performance of office employees and village officials, especially Rantau Mapesai Village. This is because in service activities to the community, office employees and village officials in Rantau Mapesai are still not optimal in operating Microsoft Office. This condition certainly has an impact on the lack of maximum administrative services to the community. The purpose of this community service is to provide training to improve and maximize the potential of human resources on how to operate computers in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint application programs for office employees and village officials. The increase in the average pre-test score of 62.72 to the post-test of 88.00 indicates the level of participants' understanding of Microsoft Office. Through this training activity, participants can understand the importance of using technology in an effort to improve administrative services in the village.

Abstract

Occupational health and safety (OHS) in every business is the most important factor in order to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere in the work environment so as to increase performance productivity and achieve the business vision and mission. However, the lack of understanding and awareness in applying OHS to every worker, especially technicians who work with high risk, needs special attention. To overcome this, community service activities were carried out in the form of OHS socialization and training for technicians, especially elevator and escalator technicians. OHS socialization and training for elevator and escalator technicians carried out for 2 days with material on elevator and escalator OHS regulations, elevator and escalator operation and maintenance and rescue procedures aimed at increasing the knowledge of each technician. The results of the socialization and training activities showed an increase in understanding of OHS as seen from changes in technician behavior, especially awareness in maintaining the safety of oneself and others in the work environment by using personal protective equipment and complying with safety rules and signs.
