Abstract

SMAN 1 Siantar Narumonda is a high school located on Jalan SMA Negeri Narumonda, Narumonda I, Kec. Siantar Narumonda, Toba Regency. Currently, the principal and teachers of SMAN 1 Siantar Narumonda still use manual methods in determining outstanding students using spread sheets in the Microsoft Excel program which seems very ineffective and inefficient because spread sheets can no longer meet the requirements for timeliness, speed and accuracy in data management. the number is large, so it takes quite a long time to process it because you have to look at a lot of tables in Excel. In solving the problem above, it is necessary to solve the problem by creating a decision support system using the AHP and TOPSIS methods. This research combines AHP and TOPSIS with the aim of obtaining accurate results in providing recommendations for decision makers in accordance with the objectives and implementation model carried out. Based on the results of the tests carried out, it was found that AHP and TOPSIS provide objective and reliable results in determining outstanding students. This application can speed up the selection process and reduce the potential for human error.

Abstract

During the process of sending data or information on a communications network, various types of data and important information related to personal data and identity are often transacted on the network. This can be exploited by irresponsible parties to gain personal gain by duplicating personal data or information. So, protection is needed for data sent via communication networks. According to Law No. 27 of 2022, personal data protection includes all efforts to protect personal data and guarantee the constitutional rights of personal data subjects. Based on this, the research objective is to provide users with options to provide additional security for text data in the form of personal data. The base64 application provides data security by changing plaintext into ciphertext, which has an information structure that is very different from the original form of information. The text data security application using the base64 algorithm was designed using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) system development method. Regarding application development, the framework used is modular. So, with this application, text data has additional data security options to avoid behavior that could be detrimental.

Abstract

The Integrated Service Post (Pos Pelayanan Terpadu or POSYANDU) is a monthly activity center aimed at monitoring toddlers under five years old. The Posyandu Application plays a vital role in public service due to its ability to simplify complex tasks and reduce the time required for tasks that were once time-consuming. The aim of this research is to implement an application to regularly monitor the growth and nutritional intake of toddlers. As its execution is still manual, Posyandu cadres face difficulties in data retrieval and recording similar names in different formats. Moreover, mothers find it challenging to monitor their children's growth solely through the Posyandu book, as in this modern era, they are more inclined towards using gadgets rather than reading books. This research applies the waterfall method, a development model following the classic life cycle. This method employs sequential and systematic phases, along with Blackbox testing for system validation. The research results in a Posyandu data processing application that supports reporting services for child growth and development at Posyandu. Furthermore, the application facilitates parents or mothers in presenting information for monitoring their children's immunization.

Abstract

The traditional grading methods used for laboratory courses often fail to capture the nuances of student performance, overlooking the contributions of attendance, lab report quality, lab skills, midterm exams, and final exams. To address this shortcoming, this study introduces a novel grading approach that employs fuzzy logic, specifically the Fuzzy Mamdani technique, to produce more comprehensive and accurate final grades. Using a dataset comprising 26 students, our study demonstrates the effectiveness of the Fuzzy Mamdani approach in determining final grades, revealing a range from 20.01 to 87.98. The crisp output values produced highlight the adaptability and accuracy of the method in evaluating complex educational processes. By applying fuzzy logic to laboratory course grading, we bridge a significant research gap and contribute to a deeper understanding of how this technology can enhance educational assessments, particularly in specialized settings like laboratories. This study paves the way for more nuanced and equitable grading practices, ensuring that students receive grades that accurately reflect their overall performance.

Abstract

The use of computer technology continues to grow so that it has an impact on changes to a system, which was previously done manually, now the system can be computerized. Various education sectors, both formal and informal, continue to improve in various ways ranging from learning methods, learning media to learning outcomes that we know by the term report card. Digital report cards are not something that is classified as new in homeland education. Transferring grades that have been printed from the RDM (Raport Digital Madrasah) application to the report card book will take a long time because of the large number of students. A large number of grade data files will cause storage to accumulate. If there is a mistake in writing the value, searching for value data will take a long time. Not to mention some problems that occur when the report card given in the form of sheets of paper is wet, torn or lost which causes the school to have to reprint many times To overcome these problems, it is necessary to design a website-based digital report card information system that can be accessed by teachers, educators, and especially students. Schools need this system to managerialize student grade data, so that students and parents can view report card data online and anywhere as long as it is connected to an internet connection without the need to print it. System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is the process of creating and changing systems and models and methodologies used to develop a system. The results obtained are a digital report card system that is practical to use and can minimize the risk of damage and loss of data hoping to help in retrieving student report cards more easily, can view data online, without the need to come to school.

Abstract

Because scientific knowledge is expanding at such a dizzying rate, it is essential that society keeps up with technological trends. It is clear from the evolution of this technology that the utilisation of computers as a means to facilitate work and enhance efficiency and effectiveness is also on the rise. Here we see an issue with Artificial Intelligence (AI), a subfield of computer science concerned with teaching computers to mimic human intelligence. When first developed, computers were mostly used for calculations. But computers are becoming more and more integral to human existence. Computers are now expected to be capable of performing any task that a human being can. Their original purpose has expanded beyond simple calculation. Because of our vast store of information and vast experience, we are capable of fixing any problem that arises. One gets more knowledgeable as one learns. An individual's problem-solving abilities are directly proportional to their level of knowledge. The ability to reason, to derive conclusions from one's own knowledge and experience, is an essential complement to one's level of knowledge

Abstract

The advancement of information systems is pervasive across numerous sectors, including industry and academic institutions. Similarly, the establishment of an information system at SMA Negeri 1 Ambarawa, Semarang Regency for the purpose of ascertaining the work schedules of counseling guidance teachers, remains traditional in nature. The conventional system continues to have a number of flaws, including the following: Obtaining data from students regarding issues that arise is time-consuming, possibly spanning several days or weeks, due to the need to distribute completed questionnaires to each class. Additionally, the counseling guidance teacher must carry out the calculation process alone. Each piece of data acquired from the student is subsequently computed based on their capability to perform the calculation procedure. Devoting a substantial amount of time and effort to this endeavor renders it ineffective. Counseling guidance teachers require a significant amount of time to develop a problem-check list learning implementation plan due to the fact that they must individually create a problem-check list (Daftar Cek Maasalah or DCM) for each student. A Management Information System for DCM Instrumentation Management is required to assist Counseling Guidance Teacher Work Program in light of these deficiencies. The preparation of work programs, which are learning implementation plans that incorporate DCM instrumentation applications that must be integrated into a computerized information system to improve school performance, are expected to be facilitated by this information system.
