Abstract

The number of documents available in digital form is increasing. Meanwhile, one document and another document may be related to each other, but they must not be plagiarized without including the reference source. For this reason, a mechanism for detecting similarities is needed. This research only discusses similarity in documents. In this research, the technique used to solve the above problem is to use text mining techniques to categorize the documents searched according to keywords. Meanwhile, to search for documents according to keywords, the indexing process is used to display documents that are searched for according to keywords. Semantics is a technique used by search engines to match key words on one page with another page. This method has been used very often before, because it is very precise and easy.

Abstract

Classification studies and maps each attribute in one of the predetermined classes. K-NN has several drawbacks such as high computational load in conducting training data, large memory when implemented. The selection of distance metrics and data pre-processing does not affect the increase in accuracy, but in this study the Euclidean distance metric is better than Manhattan in increasing accuracy. Finding the optimal number of neighbors varies between different distances, computation takes a long time. High noise for smaller k, the higher the value of k, the lower the accuracy and the smaller the computation time. K odd or even does not affect the high or low accuracy, but does affect the computation time.

Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a web-based stock data collection system at PT. Indomarco Adi Prima in response to dynamic changes in the business environment and consumer trends. This system is designed to increase efficiency and accuracy in company stock management. The development methods used include requirements analysis, system architecture design, implementation and testing. The result is a web-based platform that allows management teams to access, manage and monitor inventory in real-time from various locations. The system also automatically integrates stock data with company operational processes, reducing the potential for human error and providing valuable analytical information. With the adoption of this system, PT. Indomarco Adi Prima can optimize stock management, respond quickly to market changes, and improve the quality of service to customers. This research makes a positive contribution in facing modern business challenges through the use of information technology to increase operational effectiveness.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a system that facilitates monitoring activities of students undergoing internships, with a case study on student internship activities at the Indonesian Institute of Technology and Business (ITB Indonesia). The system development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), with four structured and interdependent stages in each phase, namely Requirements planning, User Design, Construction, and Cutover. The outcome of this research is a web-based system with a responsive interface across all devices (smartphones, tablets, and laptops). The system includes features for student location-based attendance, student activity reporting at internship sites, student guidance processes with supervising mentors, as well as monitoring the guidance process of students and supervising mentors conducted by the head of the study program.

Abstract

Animals that receive welfare are in good condition, both physically and mentally. Based on research conducted by Bracke's Animal Protection Index (API), Indonesia received a 'D' rating. The explosion of the street animal population has become an issue in urban areas. The lack of care and handling of street animals has led to an explosion in the population of street animals such as stray cats and dogs. This population explosion has also led to various problems such as the rise of animal abuse cases, and the illegal capture of street animals for meat sale. Medan Animal Rescue is an organization engaged in rescuing abandoned animals and distributing abandoned animals as pets. In carrying out its operational activities, Medan Animal Rescue still uses simple and conventional methods. To overcome the problem of not maximizing the operational activities that take place, the utilization of information technology in the form of web-based animal adoption applications is very important to be applied to Medan Animal Rescue. The results obtained from the development of a web-based animal adoption application at Medan Animal Rescue show that the average user acceptance of the application is 85.54%. This means that the application is very helpful and worth using for animal welfare.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the differences in the use of Zoom and Google Meet in learning at Putra Abadi University, Langkat. Data was collected from Putra Abadi University Langkat students during 2020-2021 with a total sample of 100 students, where 50 students represented Zoom users and 50 students represented Google Meet users. With a student population of Putra Abadi University Langkat of more than 1500 people, sampling using the Slovin formula resulted in a sample size of around 316 students. The AHP method is used to analyze student perceptions of the effectiveness and importance of using Zoom and Google Meet in distance learning. The steps of AHP involve problem identification, hierarchical decomposition, pairwise comparison, and global priority synthesis. Comparisons were made using a Likert scale to assess the level of importance between elements. The results of the questionnaire given to students of the Information Systems Program at Stabat showed that only 48 students (21.43%) were interested in studying using the Zoom platform. The main reasons why students are interested in using the platform are because the lecturers use it, the image quality is better, the sound is clearer, the background replacement is easier, and the features are easier to use. There are many drawbacks to Zoom, such as the 40-minute time limit, that make it unappealing to students. On the other hand, Zoom has advantages, such as the ability to be downloaded for free with participation of up to 100 people, and the ability to schedule Zoom Live and record or save videos. The results of this research are different from the results of previous research which concluded that there was no difference in students' interest in using the Zoom Meeting and G-Meet applications. In addition, other research states that are based on student analysis, Zoom is more preferred as a learning tool than Google Meet. However, this research supports the conclusion of previous research that there are differences in student learning outcomes using G-Meet.

Abstract

In this century's increasingly rapid technological advances, there is a great need for electronic component systems that are practical, efficient, and economical. One of them is measuring temperature. For this reason, it is necessary to have a temperature monitoring tool for the PLN distribution transformer using an Arduino with an MLX90614 sensor and connecting and displaying it on the internet. This system uses a microcontroller to calculate data from the sensors used. The MLX90614 sensor module is read by the microcontroller and serially connected to the GSM SIM800L module to send the data to the server so that the data can be accessed using the Web. The results of the overall system calculation can be sent to a computer or smartphone by accessing the specified website to view the data that has been presented in tabular form at time intervals determined by the user.

Abstract

This research aims to solve the problem of decision making in determining the Best Web Designer. The data collection technique used in this research is literature study. The method that the author applies is ROC as a method of weighting factor weight values and MFEP as a method of determining alternative ranking results. The results of applying a combination of the ROC method and the MFEP method in this study show that A1 (0.447757) is an alternative that has the highest value compared to 4 (four) other alternatives, namely A4 (0.426882), A2 (0.357889), A5 (0.343861), and A3 (0.239611). So it can be concluded that A1 (0.447757) is the most recommended alternative to be chosen as the best web designer in this study.

Abstract

Information system is a system that combines human activities and the use of technology to support management and operational activities. A library is a place that contains a collection of books and other reading materials that are systematically arranged according to the rules so that they can used as a source of information. SMK Tritech Informatics Medan is one of the schools that have library facilities. In library management, it is generally not systemized or computerized, still doing data processing is still manual, by writing in ledgers related to information laying of reading books, writing library memberships, borrowing books and returning books and the difficulty of calculating late repatriation penalties. Another problem is also the difficulty of library employees finding member data and free libraries from each member. Based on this, it is hoped that later the existence of a digital library management information system can help librarians in solving problems and managing libraries well, easily and effectively at SMK Tritech Informatika Medan.

Abstract

Oral lesions as abnormal changes in the oral tissues, which can occur in various parts of the mouth such as the lips, tongue, gums, and others. These lesions can be early symptoms of oral cancer which often causes no symptoms in the early stages. To identify oral cancer, examinations are carried out through history taking, physical examination, and supporting examinations such as biopsy. However, this process takes time and risks slow treatment. With the development of technology, identification of oral lesions can be done quickly through oral image analysis using machine learning technology. Several previous studies have successfully used digital image processing methods to detect oral lesions with a high level of accuracy. The author then discusses recent research that uses the decision tree method in machine learning for classification and detection of malignant and benign oral lesions. The results showed a good level of accuracy, with a classification accuracy of 92% and a detection accuracy of 96% for malignant oral lesions and 86% for benign oral lesions.
