Abstract

The phenomenon of a hedonistic lifestyle among urban adolescents shows a worrying trend, especially in the context of social transformation in the digital era. This study aims to examine the role of parents in instilling anti-hedonistic life values in adolescents in Metro City. A qualitative approach with a case study type was used to explore in-depth forms of role modeling, internalizing spiritual values, and social control strategies within the family environment. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, then analyzed using an interactive model. The results show that parents play an active role through three main approaches: first, role modeling in living a simple life that instills the values of contentment and asceticism; second, habituating worship and positive behavior from an early age that strengthens children's moral and spiritual awareness; and third, social control based on dialogue and trust that creates an educational climate within the family. These three strategies have effectively fortified adolescents from consumer culture's influence and formed independent, resilient, and religious characters. This study emphasizes the importance of the family as the primary institution in character education based on Islamic values amidst the challenges of modernity and globalization.

Abstract

This study discusses the revitalization of the role of teachers in Islamic Education learning amidst rapid technological developments. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers are faced with the challenge of adapting their traditional role as information transmitters to become facilitators and innovators of technology-based learning, without abandoning Islamic values. The purpose of this study is to formulate concrete strategies to strengthen the role of teachers so that PAI learning is more effective and contextual in the digital era. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review of scientific literature, educational policies, and related digital sources, with a study period spanning from 2015 to 2025. The results of the study indicate that there has been a shift in the role of PAI teachers from material transmitters to innovative learning facilitators, although technology integration is still limited to media adaptation without in-depth reinforcement of Islamic values. The main obstacles include low teacher digital literacy, limited infrastructure, and a learning paradigm that is still teacher-centered. The proposed revitalization strategy includes TPACK-based training, the development of a sharia-compliant LMS, the establishment of a digital PAI teacher professional learning community, and the implementation of blended-flipped Islamic values-based learning. Multi-stakeholder collaboration and affirmative government policies are needed to realize effective, contextual, and relevant Islamic Religious Education learning in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of language styles tasybīh at-tamtsil in the Surah An-Nahl and reveal the relevance of the symbolic meaning of these verses to Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This research is a qualitative-descriptive study with a balaghah (bayān) and stylistic approach, through a literature study of the parable verses in the Surah An-Nahl, especially verses 74–75, 76, 91–92, and 112. The study results show that tasybīh at-tamtsil, the parables in this Surah, not only serve as rhetorical decoration, but also contain strong values of faith, morality, social, and spirituality. These parables illustrate the dangers of polytheism, the importance of keeping promises, social responsibility, and the threat to a society that denies blessings. This study concludes that integrating balaghah analysis into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning can strengthen students' understanding of the messages of the Qur'an aesthetically and educationally. Therefore, the balaghah approach can be a strategic alternative in developing an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum based on character and the values of monotheism.

Abstract

Global challenges and changes in social values require Islamic educational institutions to produce graduates with critical and creative thinking skills to compete amid the currents of modernization and digitalization. However, the quality of education is not measured solely by academic standards, but also by spiritual, moral, social, and managerial dimensions that reflect the unity of faith, knowledge, and charity. This study aims to analyze the concept of educational quality from an Islamic perspective and formulate a strategy for comprehensively improving the quality of Islamic educational institutions. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach based on library research, analyzing primary sources such as the Qur'an, hadith, and tafsir, as well as modern scientific literature on Islamic educational quality management. The results show that the quality of Islamic education is built on the principles of tauhid, amanah, adl, ihsan, and itqan, which guide all educational activities towards the formation of a perfect human being. Quality improvement strategies include strengthening teachers' competence and spirituality, curriculum innovation grounded in Islamic values and the needs of the times, implementing Islamic quality management, and the ethical use of digital technology. Thus, the quality of Islamic education is an integrative process that combines spiritual, professional, and adaptive dimensions to realize quality education, character, and global competitiveness.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged the use of digital learning platforms to support the learning process in schools. One of the digital learning platforms that is widely used is Quizizz, which offers interactive and technology-based learning. This study aims to analyze the effect of using a Quizizz-based digital learning platform on students’ creativity and learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental Design employing a Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design. Research data were obtained through questionnaires to measure learning creativity and tests to measure students’ learning outcomes. The collected data were then analyzed using Simple Linear Regression, Difference Test (Paired Sample T-Test), and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). The results of the study show that the use of Quizizz in the learning process has a significant effect on students’ creativity and learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the significance value of the simple linear regression test of 0.005 < 0.05, the Paired Sample T-Test of 0.000 < 0.05, and the MANOVA test of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, the use of Quizizz can be an effective alternative digital learning medium for improving students’ creativity and learning outcomes.
