This study demonstrates that health animated video media. This research design uses a quasi-experiment with a pre-test post-test with control group design. A sample of 37 respondents was selected using Purposive Sampling. The independent variable in the study is Audio Visual, and the dependent variable is knowledge. The instrument used was a pre-post test questionnaire to assess the effect of the media provided, followed by statistical tests using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney U Test. The results showed that audio-visual media could improve knowledge from poor to good (78.9%). The audio-visual media significantly impacted knowledge, with a p-value of 0.000. The study concluded that education through audio-visual media can enhance premenopausal women’s knowledge. Women with knowledge about menopause syndrome will better understand and feel more confident in managing issues that arise during these changes.

Abstract

A Flight attendant has a higher risk of menstrual disturbances than a non-flight crew. Moreover, a flight attendant has high work pressure with flight duration of 225 hours (3 months) which will cause work stress and menstrual disturbance. The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between flight hours and menstrual disturbances in flight attendants. This research method is quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach and was carried out to 51 respondents. The sampling technique used was total sampling, while the data collection used interview guidelines. In addition, the data analysis used Chi-Square. The results of the study were based on the Chi-Square test of flight attendants with flying hours 225 hours in the last 3 months. There were28 respondents (96.6%) who experienced menstrual disturbances, while there was 1 respondent (3.4%) who did not experience menstrual disturbances. The obtained P value was 0.000 which meant the P value was < 0.05, while the Odd Ratio (OR) was 40,444, so it can be concluded that there was a significant  relationship between flight hour duration and menstrual disturbances among the flight attendants at Mess Kanya Sena 2, Jakarta

Abstract

The most important time during breastfeeding is the first few days after giving birth. If a mother is assisted properly when she starts breastfeeding, it is likely that the mother will be successful in continuing to breastfeed. The reality on the ground shows that a small expenditure and ejection of breast milk in the first days after giving birth is an obstacle in early breastfeeding. It was stated that mothers who did not breastfeed their babies in the first days of breastfeeding were caused by mothers' anxiety and fear of reduced milk output and mothers' lack of knowledge about the breastfeeding process. Anxiety and fear by causing a decrease in the hormone oxytocin so that breast milk cannot come out immediately after giving birth, the mother finally decides to give formula milk to her baby. If the mother does not know how to deal with a decrease in milk production, one of which is by means of oxytocin massage.

Abstract

During the premenopausal period there is a sharp decrease in estrogen, an increase in gonadotropins hormones, and hormonal balance disorders which cause several complaints including hot flush, bone and joint disorders, anxiety disorders, insomnia, memory loss, depression, irregular menstruation. This study aims to assess the effect of low impact aerobic exercise on premenopausal complaints. This research is a Pre-Experiment with OneGroupPretest-Posttest Designs. The sample in this study was 39 premenopausal mothers taken using purposive sumpling technique. The independent variable is low impact aerobic exercise, and the dependent variable is premenopausal complaints. Data collection used the MRS questionnaire instrument. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with p<0.05. The results of the study showed that there was a decrease in premenopausal complaints after low impact aerobic exercise. From the results of the analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, it was concluded that there was an effect of low impact aerobics exercise on premenopausal complaints, which initially mostly had moderate complaints which changed to mild complaints. After the test was carried out, the results showed that there was an effect of low impact serobic exercise on premenopausal complaints with a p value of 0.000 < α 0.05.

Abstract

The first phase of a woman's natural experience before menopause is called premenopause.Decreased estrogen levels affect the physical and psychological changes of menopausal women, and trigger anxiety. This study uses the pre-experiment method through the one group pretest-posttest designs approach. The sample was taken by purposive sampling with a total of 33 respondents. The independent variables of this study were pocket book education, the dependent variables of knowledge and anxiety. Data collection used a knowledge questionnaire and a zung self-rating anxiety scale (ZSAS). To analyze whether there is an effect, a test with a wilcoxon signed rank test with a p value of <0.05 is used. The results of the study were found to increase knowledge and reduce the level of anxiety of premenopausal mothers after education using pocket books. After the test was carried out, the results of the influence of pocket book education on knowledge and anxiety facing menopause with a p value of 0.000 < α 0.05 were obtained. It can be concluded that there is an influence of pocket book education on premenopausal knowledge and anxiety facing menopause. So it is recommended that premenopausal mothers make the best use of insights about menopause.

Abstract

Child immunization is an effort to obtain immunity artificially body parts of germs to form antibodies. In West Papua from January to July 2021, there are 63% of children aged 0-11 months who do not or have incomplete immunization status. One of the causal factors, that mothers are worried about the effects of post-immunization, so mothers are reluctant to take children to get immunizations for that the officers anticipate by providing counseling using disc media with an explanation of the effects of immunization that may occur and how they are handled. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of disc media on mother’s knowledge about adverse events following immunization, AEFI (or in Indonesian we called KIPI) basic immunization in infants at Segun Health Center, Sorong Regency. This study used a quasi-experimental design with posttest only control group design, with two groups randomly selected. The population in this study used infant with a total of 32 respondents. The results of the statistical test using chi square test were obtained p-value = 0.017 (p-value≤0.05) which means there is an influence towards positive way of disc media administration on the mother's knowledge of the adverse event following immunization in infants at the Segun Health Center, Sorong Regency.

Abstract

Postpartum mothers experience psychological changes, one of which is anxiety. Lavender flower aromatherapy candles contain linalyl acetate and linalool which relax the mind and body. This study aims to determine the effect of giving flower candle aromatherapy on postpartum maternal anxiety. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a pretest and posttest design model. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The statistical tests used for pre and posttest in both groups used the dependent t-test (normal) or the Wilcoxon test (abnormal). And between control and treatment groups using the independent t-test (normal) or Mann-Whitney test (abnormal). The results of the research that has been carried out show that there is a difference in the anxiety of post-partum mothers who are given aromatherapy flower candles compared to postpartum mothers who are not given aromatherapy flower candles. The average anxiety in postpartum mothers who were given treatment or intervention (flower candle aromatherapy) was 0.77, while the average anxiety in post-partum mothers in the control group (psychological education) was 2.03. Likewise, the mean rank results show that postpartum mothers who were given treatment or intervention (flower candle aromatherapy) had a lower average anxiety, namely 20.77, than postpartum mothers in the control group (psychological education), namely 40.23.
