Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women is a global health issue, often caused by a lack of knowledge and awareness regarding its prevention. Health education is one approach to improving the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women toward anemia prevention. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of health education using explainer videos on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women. The research used a quasi-experimental method with a population of 76 primigravida pregnant women and a sample of 44 respondents selected through Simple Random Sampling. The independent variable was health education using explainer videos, while the dependent variables were the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney U Test. The resultsshowed a significant improvement in the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women in the intervention group after watching the explainer videos, with a p-value of 0.000. The Mann-Whitney U Test indicated that explainer videos were more effective than leaflets. In conclusion, anemia prevention education using explainer videos effectively improves the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women. Future studies should include an additional variable, such as the nutritional status of pregnant women.

Abstract

Menopause is a condition with a decrease in reproductive physiological function in women which results in a decrease in ovarian function which can result in a reduction and possibly a loss of reproductive estrogen. This research is a type of quantitative research with a research design using Quasy experiment with a pre-test post-test control group approach of 32 respondents divided into treatment groups and control groups. By using the research design "Non Equivalent Control Design" or "Non Randomized Control Group Pretest-Postest Design", namely research to compare the results of interventions in the experimental group and the control group by sampling without purposive sampling. Statistical test results using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test in the treatment group, a significant value (p) of 0.001 was obtained, which was smaller than α 0.05, so the hypothesis was accepted, and in the control group, after the Wilcoxon test was carried out, a significant value (p) of 0.011 was obtained, which was greater than α 0.05, so the hypothesis was rejected, and it could be It can be seen that in the treatment group there are significant attitude values, while in the control group there are no significant differences in attitude values. The results of statistical tests using the Mann Whitney U Test obtained a significant value (p) of 0.000, which is smaller than α 0.05 so that the hypothesis was accepted.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is a disorder that occurs during menstruation which most often causes teenagers to go to health services for consultation and treatment. Self Hypnosis and acupressure are simple nonpharmacological therapies that can be done independently by teenagers to treat dysmenorrhoea. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of Keris (a combination of acupressure and self-hypnosis) in overcoming adolescent dysmenorrhoea at SMPN 2 Abiansemal. This research uses quantitative, preexperimental research methods with a one group pretest-posttest design. The instrument used to measure pain in this study was the NRS. The population and sample in this study were teenage girls at SMPN 2 Abiansemal who experienced dysmenorrhoea with a sample size of 38 people. The sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling. This research was carried out in May – August 2023. Bivariate data analysis used Wilcoxon. The research results obtained a p value of 0.000 (<0.05). The average pain value before the intervention was 5.1, it decreased after the intervention was given, as seen from the average pain value after the intervention, namely 3.68. These results indicate that Keris (a combination of acupressure and self-hypnosis) is effective in overcoming adolescent dysmenorrhoea at SMP N 2 Abiansemal.

Abstract

It is very important for women of childbearing age to pay attention to reproductive health, because the fertility of a woman's reproductive organs is often associated with various diseases, including ovarian cysts. This study aims to determine the relationship between age and ovarian cysts. This type of research is an observational study with a cross sectional approach. The sample consisted of 115 respondents selected by total sampling. The research was conducted in July 2019 with a research duration of 7 days by collecting data directly from the register book from 2016 to 2018. The data was analyzed using the chi-square test to determine the relationship between age and the incidence of ovarian cysts. The results showed that the majority of respondents aged 20-50 years (at risk) who had ovarian cysts were 102 people (88.7%) and a small number of respondents aged <20 years and >50 years (not at risk) did not have ovarian cysts as many as 13 people (11.3%), with a statistically significant p-value = 0.002 <0.05. Conclusion: most of the respondents who were diagnosed with ovarian cysts were respondents aged 20-50 years (at risk). Keywords: Ovarian Cyst, Reproductive System, Age

Abstract

Physiological and psychological changes during pregnancy can cause various complaints, such as nausea, back pain, and sleep disturbances, as well as increase the risk of mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression. However, current antenatal services still focus more on physical aspects compared to preventing pregnancy complaints and promoting mental health. This study aims to explore the integration of education on preventing common pregnancy complaints and promoting mental health in first contact antenatal care based on the perspective of midwives. The research method used was qualitative with purposive sampling technique, involving 6 midwives as participants, conducted for 4 months, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of the study identified six main themes, including low coverage of first pregnancy contact (K1), suboptimal mental health education, and the need for service integration and the use of digital-based educational media. The conclusion of this study confirms that improving the quality of antenatal services requires revision of procedures, innovation in digital education, and stronger social support to improve the welfare of pregnant women.

Abstract

Fibroadenoma is a benign tumor in which epithelial cells are arranged in fibrosa. Although breast fibroadenoma tumors are benign, they can still trigger the risk of developing breast cancer. The purpose of this study is to see if there is a relationship between lifestyle and the incidence of breast fibroadenoma. This Study is a quantitative research using a case-control design. The population in this study consists of all patients examined at the surgical polyclinic of kratos hospital from December 2023 to January 2024 with a population of 114. The chi square hypothesis test with a p-value of 0.000 means that < 0.05 statistically there is a significant relationship between lifestyle and the incidence of breast fibroadenoma. Lifestyle changes and hereditary factors are triggers for the onset of breast diseases, including fibroadenoma and cancer. The relationship between lifestyle and breast fibroadenoma shows that there is a statistically significant relationship between lifestyle and breast fibroadenoma. Patients with poor lifestyles were 9,679 times more likely to develop breast fibroadenoma compared to patients with good lifestyles. Keywords: Life Style, Breast Fibroadenoma
