Abstract

Learning media is one factor in increasing students' learning motivation. So, it is necessary to develop learning media that attract students' learning interest and activeness in class. This development research aims to develop learning media that is oriented towards the use of technological developments. This research uses a 4D research model, which has 4 stages starting with definition until the final stage is dissemination. The research instrument used was a questionnaire instrument for the validity of video learning media. The results of this research are learning media in the form of videos created using CapCut software which is currently popular among young people. The learning video that was developed showed an average feasibility result of 88% with the category very suitable for use in learning sound waves.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of application the Search Solve Create Share (SSCS) on the learning activities of students in 8th grade science learning. Based on the effect of learning activities that are very influential on the brain's capture and recall power, it is appropriate to use a special learning model. In this case, the SSCS model was tried for later use in improving student learning activities. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak on odd semester 2018-2019. The form of this study used pre-experimental designs with the design of intact-group comparison. The research sample consisted of 30 students of class VIII A as the experimental class and 25 students of class VIII B as the control class. Research data collection uses observation techniques with observation sheet learning activity instruments. The results of the data analysis showed that there were significant differences between the learning activities of students in the experimental class and the control class with the Mann-Whitney test value assisted by SPSS 22 for Windows application 0.000 <0.05 (5%). It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the application the SSCS model on the learning activities of students in the VIII grade science learning in Pontianak Public Middle School 2.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of using refutation text-based e-modules to remediate misconceptions about dynamic electricity at SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Raya. Effectiveness is seen from changes in the number of students' misconceptions before and after the use of refutation text-based e-modules. The research method used in this study was a Pre-Experimental Design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 58 class IX students. Data were collected using a two-tier multiple-choice reasoning diagnostic test. Data analysis used the SPSS-assisted McNemar test to see changes in the number of students' misconceptions before and after using refutation text-based e-modules. Based on the results of the MC Nemar test analysis with the help of SPSS, each item indicator obtained a significant value. It can be concluded that there is a change in the number of students' misconceptions before and after using refutation text-based e-module. This shows that an e-module based on refutation text is effective in reducing the number of students who experience misconceptions. Thus, e-module based on refutation text can be used as teaching material for educators to reduce students' misconceptions.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif merupakan aspek penting dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Scratch merupakan salah satu aplikasi yang dapat digunakan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbantuan scratch guna meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika siswa terkait materi Hukum Ohm. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode 4D yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu Define, Design, Develop, dan Desseminate. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa rerata uji kelayakan tiap aspek, dimana aspek tampilan mendapat skor 91,6; kemudahan akses 87,5; dan aspek bahasa 88,75. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan sudah sangat layak digunakan.Kata Kunci: Hukum Ohm, Media, Pembelajaran, Scratch

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) produce physics learning media assisted by monopoly games that are feasible to use to increase students' interest and learning outcomes and (2) determine the effectiveness and practicality of physics learning media assisted by monopoly games in increasing students' interest and learning outcomes. This research is a development research (RD) with the 4D model consisting of stages (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop, and (4) disseminate. The products developed were in the form of lesson plans, media, learning interest questionnaires and test question instruments. The subjects in this study were students of SMA Negeri 1 Pengasih class XI MIPA 2 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 4 as the control class. The results showed that: (1) the learning media developed is feasible to use in physics learning with a very good category, (2) the learning media developed is effective and practical to be used to increase the interest and learning outcomes of high school class XI students with an effect value. The effect size value for learning outcomes on learning interest is 0.764 which is included in the large category and the effect size value for learning outcomes is 0.527 which is included in the large category.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a simple teaching aid for parabolic motion material (ALGAPA) in class X SMA. This research is an R and D research which refers to the opinion of Sugiyono. The data collection instrument used in the form of a questionnaire given to material experts and practitioners to test the feasibility of simple parabolic motion props. The type of data produced is qualitative data which is analyzed by using the criteria for the assessment category to determine product quality. The results of this study, namely that a simple parabolic motion material in class X SMA has been developed which is suitable to be used as a learning medium and a tool for simple practicum with the results of the validation of material experts of 92.63% and expert practitioners of 86.36%.Kata Kunci: Alat Peraga Fisika, Gerak Parabola, Penelitian RD, Media Pembelajaran

Abstract

Low environmental awareness in society is one of the causes of environmental damage. Environmental literacy is expected to increase learners concern for environmental sustainability. Through ecobrick project learning, it is expected that students environmental literacy and learning outcomes will improve. This study aims to determine the effect of eco brick project implementation on environmental literacy and physics learning outcomes, as well as the relationship between environmental literacy and student learning outcomes. The research method was a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. Pretest and posttest were given after and before learning to students. Data were collected through questionnaires to measure environmental literacy and essay questions to measure learning outcomes. This study involved 35 students of class X-4 at SMAN 2 Tenggarong. Based on the paired sample t-test, implementing the ecobrick project shows that environmental literacy is in the high category with a score of 177.3 while learning outcomes about the environment are in the moderate category with a score of 76. Based on the correlation test, environmental literacy on student learning outcomes is in the moderate category with a value of 0.547. Through the results of this study, the eco brick project has the potential to be used as a way to improve environmental literacy and environmental learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research analyzed the angle of dispersion in prisms with different refractive indexes and thicknesses. The results showed that the angle of dispersion in thick prisms is greater than that in thin prisms. This is due to the fact that the refractive index of thick prisms is greater than that of thin prisms. In a prism, white light with different wavelengths is refracted at different angles. This difference in refraction angles is called the angle of dispersion. The refractive index of thick prisms is greater than that of thin prisms, so white light passing through thick prisms will experience greater refraction. This greater refraction will also result in a larger angle of dispersion. The findings of this study show that the refractive index and thickness of a prism have a significant effect on the angle of dispersion. A larger refractive index will result in a larger angle of dispersion, and a thicker prism will also result in a larger angle of dispersion. Abstract

This research is a descriptive study with a survey method that aims to describe students' misconceptions using a five-tier diagnostic test at SMP NEGERI 17 Pontianak on the material of Temperature and Heat. The sample in this study was 150 students. Data collection was carried out through a written test consisting of 8 questions with five levels (five-tier). Based on the results of the validation of the questions by experts, it was obtained that the validity value of the questions was 0.79, which means that the questions were in the high validity qualification. Students' misconceptions using the five-tier diagnostic test obtained average results per indicator, on the indicator of understanding the concept of temperature and measuring instruments, the percentage of students' misconceptions was 41%, then the indicator of understanding the concept of heat and heat transfer, the percentage of students' misconceptions was 34%, the indicator explaining the effect of heat on changes in state, the percentage of students was 37% and the indicator analyzing the effect of temperature changes on the size of objects (expansion) the percentage of students' misconceptions was 40%. From the average per indicator of misconceptions, a percentage result of 38% can be obtained. The results of the study showed that students' misconceptions using the five-tier diagnostic test were categorized as moderate. Therefore, it is expected that teachers can improve students' misconceptions using the five-tier diagnostic test and students can be trained well, especially on students' misconceptions using the five-tier diagnostic test in order to improve students' conceptual understanding.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) produce physics learning tools using the think talk write type cooperative learning model which are suitable for use to improve learning outcomes in the cognitive domain and cooperative attitudes of students and (2) determine the effectiveness of learning tools using the think talk write type cooperative learning model in improve cognitive learning outcomes and cooperative attitudes of students. This research is development research (RD) with a 4D model consisting of stages (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop, and (4) disseminate. The products developed are RPPs, LKPD, test question instruments, and cooperative attitude assessment questionnaires. The subjects in this research were students of SMA Negeri 1 Gamping class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 2 as the control class. The results of the research show that: (1) the learning tools developed are suitable for use in physics learning with a very good category, (2) the learning tools developed are effectively used to improve learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of physics and the cooperative attitude of class XI high school students with effect scores. The size of the learning outcomes in the cognitive domain is 2.02, which is included in the very large category, and the effect size value for cooperative attitudes is 0.80, which is included in the medium category.
