Abstract

ABSTRAK   Prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii de Man) is one of fishery commodities of high economic value. Maintenance monoculture can cause ecosystem balance problems because almost all shrimp collected in the bottom of the pool so that the biological processes that take place in the pool water is not controlled. This situation can encourage the onset of blooming of plankton that causes a decrease in dissolved oxygen content so that the prawns experience stress and can inhibit the growth of giant prawns and decreased production. This study aims to examine the use of Nile Tilapia as growth and survival rate biocatalyst of prawns. The research was conducted from February to June 2011 in the village of Jimus, Karanglo, Klaten and Sub Lab Biology, Laboratory of Mathematics and Science Center UNS. This research used Completely Randomized Design polyculture system 2 treatment and control with 20 head of  stocking juvenile shrimp (PL 21) per m2 on the pool measures 8 x 2 x 1 m3. After 21 days of stocking juvenile shrimp followed by stocking nile tilapia. Parameters measured include growth (weight and length) prawns, survival rate, and water quality of the cultivation. The results showed that survival rates of prawns are high achieved with maintenance treatment with dense stocking tilapia 5 nile tilapia ie 85.11%. The range of water quality during the study between temperature 25-310C, dissolved oxygen content from 4,06 to 9,78 mg / L, the degree of acidity of water from 6.40 to 8.10, 0 ppt salinity, ammonia (NH3) from 0.003 to 0.014 mg / L, nitrite (N02) from 0.003 to 0.201 mg / L, nitrate (N03) from 0.307 to 4.05 mg / L, phosphate (P04) from 0.364 to 1.09 mg / L. Thus, maintenance treatment of tilapia provide a good influence on the stability of the prawns media resulting in the maintenance of survival (survival rate) is quite good.   Kata kunci: Macrobrachium rosenbergii de Man, biocatalyst, Oreochromis niloticus Linn.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of critical thinking with cognitive style by applying Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model with visual media on the subject of environmental pollution in Islamic Junior High School Alhuda Sedayulawas Lesson Year 2016/2017. The subjects of this study are the seventh grade students of Islamic Alhuda Islamic Junior High School as many as 26 students, consisting of 5 students of reflective cognitive style, 5 students of cognitive impulsive style, 8 students with cognitive style accurately and 8 students cognitively slow inaccurate. Data collection techniques are critical thinking tests on the subject of environmental pollution referring to the Ennis (1985) indicator, for cognitive style tests using the Matching Familiar Figures Test (MFFT) test referring to Warli (2010). Data critical thinking techniques used nonparametric statistical analysis with Mann Whitney test (mann-whitnet test), for cognitive style data analysis obtained by Matching Familiar Figures Test (MFFT) test. Based on the results of research that has been done shows that children who have accurate cognitive style accurate way of critical thinking is better than other cognitive-style children. The conclusion is that cognitive-style students are accurately better than other cognitive-style students on the subject of environmental pollution through Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning models with visual media.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Musuh alami termasuk predator merupakan serangga berguna yang berperan dalam menekan laju populasi serangga hama. Pada pertanaman padi terdapat beberapa jenis predator yang biasa memangsa hama antara lain Coccinella sp., Paederus fuscifes dan Lycosa pseudoanulata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberadaan dan tingkat populasi ketiga jenis predator tersebut pada pertanaman padi sawah. Penelitian dilakukan di Pusakanagara, Subang, Jawa Barat pada musim tanam 2009/2010. Rancangan  percobaan acak kelompok terdiri atas 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, sebagai perlakuan adalah padi varietas IR-64, IR-42, Ciherang, Cisantana dan Cisadane. Luas petak percobaan 10 m x 10 m, tanaman padi dipupuk sesuai anjuran. Pengamatan populasi predator dilakuan pada waktu dua minggu setelah tanam dengan interval satu minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa populasi predator Coccinella sp., Paederus fuscifes dan Lycosa pseudoanulata bervaiasi pada setiap varietas padi dan musim tanam. Pada musim tanam 2009 populasi predator tertinggi berturut-turut adalah Coccinella sp, P. fuscifes dan L. pseudoanulata, dengan urutan tertinggi masing-masing  pada varietas padi IR-64, Ciherang, Cisadane, IR-42 dan Cisantana. Pada musim tanam 2010 populasi peredator tertinggi adalah P. fuscifes, Coccinella sp. dan L. psuedoanulata pada tanaman padi IR-42, IR-64, Ciherang dan Cisantana. Hama yang dominan ditemukan selama  percobaan berlangsung meliputi Nilaparvata lugens dan Scipophaga incertulas..     Kata kunci : Sebaran, Coccinella sp, P. fuscifes, L. pseudoanulata, padi sawah

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran mata kuliah ekologi tumbuhan di prodi P. Biologi FKIP tahun ajaran 2009 dengan melalui pemanfaatan modul praktikum yang berbasis masalah sebagai penuntun kegiatan di lapangan.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk :1. meningkatkan kulaitas berdiskusi dengan indikator pertanyaan yang muncul dari siswa dalam rangka menanggapi modul yang berisi masalah yang harus dipecahkan melalui data lapangan. Meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran seutuhnya yang dikelola oleh pengampu kuliah ekologi tumbuhan.Prosedur penelitian menggunakan prosedur penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan tindakan berupa penggunaan modul praktikum yang dipergunakan sebagai penuntun kegiatan di lapangan. Analisis tindakan mengikuti aturan Kemmis danTaggart. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kritis.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada: 1. Ada peningkatkan kualitas berdiskusi dengan indikator pertanyaan yang muncul dari siswa dalam rangka menanggapi modul yang berisi masalah yang harus dipecahkan melalui data lapangan. 2. Belum jelas ada peningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran seutuhnya pada mata kuliah ekologi tumbuhan akibat digunakannya modul praktikum sebagai penuntun kegiatan lapangan. 3. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan fitokimia, mengukur aktivitas antibakteri, konsentrasi efektif, dan pengaruh peningkatan konsentrasi ekstrak etanol dari daun C. frustescens L terhadap daya hambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli dan Pseudomonas sp. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan metode sumur difusi. Parameter yang diukur adalah besarnya diameter daya hambat/zona bening yang terbentuk. Hasil uji aktivitas antibakteri dianalisis dengan metode one way anova dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi ekstrak 80; 90; dan 100% telah memberikan aktivitas daya hambat pertumbuhan bakteri uji. Konsentrasi ekstrak etanol daun C. frustescens L yang paling efektif adalah 80% untuk bakteri S. aureus, 90% untuk Pseudomonas sp, dan 100% untuk E. coli dimana zona hambat berturut-turut adalah 2.94 cm, 2.14 cm, dan 1.58 cm. Ekstrak Daun C. frustescent L. mengandung zat aktif berupa alkaloid, flavonoid, triterpenoid steroid, fenol, tetapi tidak terbukti mengandung saponin.

Abstract

Parasitic nematodes disease is one of impediment to the increasing rate of population and livestock production. Infection prevalence study of egg-worm parasitic nematodes established using 91 samples of cattle feces on February 11th, 2014 at Napis village, Bojonegoro. Feces examination was performed at Parasitology Laboratory , Animal Health Laboratory Unit-Animal Husbandry Department of East Java Province in Tuban by Whitlock method. Observed parameters include the type and infection prevalence of egg-worm parasitic nematodes that was infect, the data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The result showed 42 (46,15 %) of the total sample was single infection by one type of nematodes egg-worm. Worms that infect were Strongyle sp. 35 (38,46 %), Trichuris sp. 2 (2,19%) and Nematodirus sp and Strongyle sp  1 (1.09 %), Strongyle sp and Trichuris sp 4 (4,39%)The conclusion of this study is the prevalence of the highest infection of egg-worm parasitic nematodes as much as 38,46 % by Strongyle sp.and lowest prevalence as much as 1.09 % by Nematodirus sp and Strongyle sp. Key words : Infection prevalence, cattle, nematodes egg-worm, Whitlock

Abstract

Education in Indonesia still focuses on teachers as the main source of knowledge, then lectures become the main choice of teaching and learning strategies.Improving the quality of education can be implemented through various models and learning media.One of the model and learning media that can be used is CTL learning model (Contextual Teaching Learning) by using handout media.The learning model of CTL using handout media is one of the efforts that can be used to improve student learning outcomes.Through the learning model of CTL and the media of this handout learners can directly know the important points by linking the material in real life so as to make the students become more active and attract the attention of students in following the learning process. Then do research about learning of CTL through media handout with aim to know influence of learning of CTL through media handout to result of student study of class VIII MTs Salafiyah Kerek on material of human respiration system. Research conducted in MTs Salafiyah Kerek.The population in this research is all students of class VIII MTs Salafiyah Kerek.The sample in this research is only taken 2 class that is class VIII C (experiment) and class VIII D (control) which amounted 22 x 2 = 44 students.Parameters in this study in the form of data on student learning outcomes in the analysis by using SPSS program 19. The results showed that the average score of student learning outcomes that followed the learning of CTL through the media handout in the experimental class of 81.82 and the average score of student learning outcomes that follow the conventional learning in the control class of 77.04. So, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students who follow the learning of CTL through the media handout better than students who follow the conventional learning

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Respon perkecambahan yang berbeda pada tiap tanaman pangan merupakan fase krusial tanaman dalam merespon kondisi margin lingkungannya, termasuk kondisi berkadar garam. Kajian untuk mengetahui respon Solanum melongena pada fase perkecambahan terhadap paparan NaCl telah dilakukan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Botani, Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri, Februari-Maret 2012, dengan desain RAL.  Paparan NaCl diberikan pada konsentrasi 0% (kontrol), 5%, 10%, 15%, dan 20% dan data diambil pada 13 hst secara destruktif untuk diamati dan dianalisis dengan Anova One Way dilanjutkan uji Duncan 5%. Biji koleksi ditanam pada media liat berpasir steril dan disiram tiap 2 hari sekali (50 mL/ pot), pada suhu 27-28OC, 4000-6000 lux, v-angin 0-1 m/s. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kecepatan perkecambahan tertinggi pada perlakuan % dan terendah pada 20%; (2) semua perlakuan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap panjang hipokotil, akar primer, dan biomassa kecambah; (3) rata-rata kecepatan pertumbuhan kecambah optimal pada perlakuan 5%; (4) tipe perkecambahan epigeal; (5) testa terangkat jelas dari media pada umur 3-5 hst; (6) warna kotiledon hijau dan hipokotil putih terang pada umur 13 hst pada semua perlakuan; (7) arah tumbuh erectus, tegar, kotiledon terbuka sempurna dan opposita.   Kata kunci: Solanum melongena, perkecambahan, NaCl.

Abstract

Natural Forest Girimanik one of the forests have flora diversity including medicinal plants. The purpose of this study was to determine the species of medicinal plants at an altitude of 1400-1600 asl. in the Girimanik Natural Forest area. This research method used purposive sampling exploration and method of plotless transect. The results showed that there are 10 orders, 10 families (Umbeliferae, Poaceae, Rubiaceae, Verbenaceae, Papilionaceae, Polygalaceae, Malvaceae, Compositae, Melastomaceae, and Woodsiaceae), 17 genera covering 17 species of medicinal plants spread at an altitude 1400 -1600 asl. The types of medicinal plants found are Centella asiatica, Paspalum scrobiculatum, Ischaemum timorense, Sporobolus poiretii, Stachytarpheta jamaicensis, Diplazium sibiricum, Axonopus compressus, Urena lobata, Melastoma sp., Oplismenus burmanni, Bidens pilosa, Polygala paniculata, Borreria alata, Centrosema molle, Eupatorium riparium, Lantana camara, and Imperata cylindrica.

Abstract

Climate Change is one of the global issues of concern and included in the purpose of the SDGs (Action on climate change). This Research aims to know the potential achievement of the sustainability of Climate Village program in Surakarta. This Research is a literature study and observations in the field and questionnaire, interview. This research is taking location at Kampung Iklim Sekip Kadipiro, Sambirejo Kadipiro, Ngemplak Sutan Mojosongo. Kadipiro geographically, most of the region is a fairly large plateau. Kampung Iklim Sekip Kadipiro once received an award at the national level representing Surakarta municipal. Mojosongo Village is the widest urban village in Surakarta City with 5,329 Regional Areas 5,329 (Km2). Physical Condition of Topographic Village of Ngemplak Sutan Village in Mojosongo Sub-District, Jebres Sub-District is located north of Surakarta City, is a hilly area and is the highest plateau in the city of Surakarta. Based on the Geological Map of the Geohidrology Map of Surakarta, it can be seen that the northern rocks of the Mojosongo Village Office are up to Kali Kebo.Indonesia is one of the contributing countries in reducing GHG emissions by creating Program Kampung Iklim (PROKLIM) which is an environmental management activity based on community empowerment . Program Kampung Iklim is one of the efforts to adapt and mitigate climate change by citizens with friendly and environmentally sound activities. Climate Village activities provide additional income for citizens, where planting crops increases food security and reduces household spending. Waste management with 3R concept by Bank Sampah and innovative products produced by residents are able to increase additional income Kampung Iklim program has a local wisdom despite being in urban areas while maximizing the land of the House of page to plant, livestock and produce innovative local food and crafts products. The results of sustainability research are influenced by local figures, women and community roles.Implementation Kampung Iklim in Surakarta municipal has the potential for sustainability.
