Abstract

The growth of platforms offering short video content such as TikTok and the rise of digital payments have changed the way people buy goods, especially for Generation Z. This study aims to find out the impact of the intensity of TikTok and digital payment use on Generation Z's consumptive behavior, both individually and simultaneously.  This study uses an associative quantitative approach with a Likert scale questionnaire (1-5). The research sample consisted of 150 active Gen Z respondents who used TikTok and had used digital payments. The data analysis technique used validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression using t and f tests. The results of this study show that the intensity of TikTok use has a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior, digital payments also have a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior, and these two variables simultaneously have a significant influence on the consumptive behavior of Gen Z. Findings show that the increase in the intensity of TikTok use, which is driven by exposure to TikTok content and the ease of digital transactions,  can exacerbate impulse buying and overconsumption tendencies among Gen Z. This research aims to contribute to the study of digital consumer behavior and serves as an input for financial and digital literacy education to reduce the consumerism tendencies of the younger generation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of work stress and cyberloafing behaviour on the performance of employees at Waled Hospital, Cirebon Regency, both partially and simultaneously. The study population comprises 233 non-medical permanent employees of Waled Hospital, Cirebon Regency. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula, yielding a sample of 148 respondents. Data were collected through a directly administered questionnaire using a Likert scale, while data analysis employed simple linear regression and multiple linear regression using IBM SPSS version 26. The results showed that work stress had a negative and significant effect on employee performance, as evidenced by a calculated t-value of ?11.465 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Cyberloafing behaviour also had a negative and significant effect on employee performance, with a calculated t-value of ?3.159 and a significance level of 0.002 < 0.05. Simultaneously, work stress and cyberloafing behaviour had a significant combined effect on employee performance, as evidenced by an F-value of 313.430 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.812 indicated that 81.2% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by work stress and cyberloafing behaviour, with the remainder attributed to other factors outside the scope of this study. The conclusion of this study is that work stress and cyberloafing behaviour are important factors affecting the performance of employees at Waled Hospital, Cirebon Regency. Hospital management therefore needs to manage work stress effectively and exercise control over cyberloafing behaviour in order to improve both employee performance and the quality of health services provided.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of company reputation on the customer loyalty of commercial banks in Indonesia from the perspective of signal theory, as well as evaluate the role of the country of origin as a mediating variable in the relationship. Data was obtained from 61 commercial bank customers at Bank BJB KC Swadaya Gunung Jati University Cirebon using quantitative research methods. A company's reputation is defined as a multidimensional construct that includes corporate social responsibility (CSR), relationship marketing, product quality, and corporate responsiveness. The data were analyzed using structural equation (SEM) model-based path analysis with the help of AMOS software. The results of the study show that corporate social responsibility signals do not directly affect customer loyalty, but indirectly affect significantly through the country of origin, which indicates full mediation. Product quality has been shown to have a direct and significant influence on customer loyalty, and is the most influential factor in the research model. In contrast, relational marketing and company credibility did not show significant influence. The research model can explain 60.9% variation in customer loyalty. The study confirms that a company's reputation serves as a strategic signal, the effectiveness of which depends on the type of signal being sent and the context of the bank's country of origin. These results expand the application of signal theory in Indonesia's banking sector and provide important implications for bank reputation management in building sustainable customer loyalty.

Abstract

The preservation of cultural heritage in Indonesia's marginal urban areas faces complex challenges, particularly in the Spoorlaan-Kemijen area in Semarang. This study examines the paradoxical conditions of such sites, which are historically significant but suffer from physical degradation and lack formal protection. Using a mixed-methods sequential explanatory approach, the research identifies social fragmentation in local perceptions of heritage preservation and environmental concerns. Findings reveal a lack of correlation between environmental concerns and active conservation support, attributed to institutionalized dichotomies and tenure conflicts. The study introduces the Differentiated Engagement, Integrated Vision (DEIV) model, which offers a tailored governance approach for these sites. The model recognizes the diverse interests of three social clusters—Memory Keepers, Environmental Pragmatics, and Integrators—by creating a deliberative space for dialogue and cooperation. The research suggests that sustainable heritage preservation in marginalized areas requires a shift from awareness-raising to institutional transformation. This study contributes to theoretical discussions on heritage governance by reconceptualizing the ethical trilemma and provides practical solutions for marginalized heritage management. The DEIV model offers a replicable framework for other heritage sites in Indonesia, fostering inclusive participation and long-term sustainability in urban heritage preservation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of brand personality, brand love, and brand image on brand advocacy among iPhone users in Cirebon City. Amid fierce competition in the premium smartphone market, the iPhone has managed to maintain high user loyalty despite not holding the largest overall market share. Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 259 respondents through purposive sampling and analysed using SmartPLS 4.0. The results of the study show that brand personality, brand love, and brand image simultaneously have a significant effect on brand advocacy, with a combined contribution of 74.3%. Partially, brand love proved to be the most dominant predictor, indicating that deep emotional attachment is more effective in driving voluntary advocacy behaviour than rational factors alone. Brand personality and brand image also contribute positively by strengthening users' self-expression and sense of social prestige. The implications of this study suggest that Apple's marketing strategy should continue to focus on strengthening emotional branding and maintaining its premium reputation. The primary limitation of this study lies in its geographical focus on a single local area; future studies are therefore recommended to expand demographic and geographic coverage for broader generalisability

Abstract

This study is motivated by the rapid transformation of consumer behavior in the digital era, which encourages small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to adopt omnichannel strategies and improve personal selling quality in order to create better customer experiences. The increasing use of digital platforms, social commerce, and integrated shopping channels has changed how consumers interact with businesses, making customer experience quality an important factor in maintaining competitiveness and customer loyalty. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of omnichannel strategy and personal selling on customer experience quality among SME consumers in Cirebon City. This research employed a quantitative approach using survey data collected from 180 respondents who had experience purchasing from retail SMEs in Cirebon City. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine the relationships between variables. The findings reveal that omnichannel strategy has a positive and significant effect on customer experience quality by providing seamless channel integration, easier access to information, and consistent service interactions. In addition, personal selling also significantly improves customer experience through effective communication, empathy, and responsive customer service. Simultaneously, both variables strongly influence customer experience quality. In conclusion, the integration of omnichannel strategies and effective personal selling can help SMEs create more satisfying, consistent, and sustainable customer experiences in the digital business environment.

Abstract

This study analyzes the narrative of mine management policies by religious community organizations (CSOs) from the perspective of organizational resilience. The policy regulated through Government Regulation Number 25 of 2024 and Presidential Regulation Number 76 of 2024 is positioned by the government as an effort to equalize economic access and fair distribution of natural resources, but it raises pros and cons that reflect differences in ideological orientation, institutional capacity, and public perception of the role of mass organizations in the extractive sector. This study used a qualitative approach with the Narrative Policy Analysis (NPA) method to identify the main narratives of the government, counter narratives from civil society, and formulate metanarratives as the basis for more adaptive policy development. The results of the study show that the government's narrative focuses on economic justice, empowerment of the people, and the expansion of the role of CSOs as development actors, while the counter-narrative highlights the risk of environmental damage, social conflicts, ethical dilemmas, and the limitations of technical and institutional capacity of CSOs. From the perspective of organizational resilience, this tension indicates the weakness of environmental sensing capabilities and the accumulation of flexible resources that are the foundation of resilience. This research confirms that the involvement of CSOs in the mining sector has the potential to weaken legitimacy and social capital if it is not balanced with credible social and environmental practices. Therefore, the proposed policy strategy emphasizes strengthening adaptive capacity, accountability, and the placement of CSOs as moral supervisors in natural resource governance to maintain organizational sustainability and support long-term social resilience.

Abstract

This study examines the juridical implications of the absence of compensation standards in the implementation of diversion within the juvenile criminal justice system in Indonesia. Diversion, as a manifestation of restorative justice, is intended to resolve child criminal cases outside formal judicial proceedings while ensuring victim recovery and child protection. However, the lack of clear and operational compensation standards has created legal uncertainty and contributed to the failure of diversion agreements. This research aims to analyze the impact of the absence of compensation standards on the effectiveness of diversion and to formulate an ideal compensation model based on restorative justice principles. The study applies a normative juridical research method using statutory, conceptual, comparative, and case approaches. Legal materials were obtained from laws and regulations, scientific journals, legal doctrines, and relevant international restorative justice practices. The findings indicate that the absence of compensation standards causes subjective negotiations, imbalance between parties, and inconsistency in determining compensation, which ultimately increases the likelihood of diversion failure and continuation of cases to formal courts. Furthermore, the study reveals that effective compensation standards should be victim-oriented, proportional, participatory, and supported by clear implementation mechanisms. In conclusion, the establishment of structured and operational compensation standards is essential to strengthen legal certainty, improve victim protection, and enhance the effectiveness of restorative justice in Indonesia’s juvenile criminal justice system.

Abstract

This study investigates the protection of victims of sexual violence through the compensation mechanism and the Victim Assistance Fund (DBK) as regulated in Government Regulation No. 29 of 2025 in Indonesia. Despite legal recognition of restitution as a victim’s right, implementation remains constrained by perpetrators’ financial capacity, insufficient inter-institutional coordination, and procedural complexities, leaving many victims without effective recovery. The study aims to analyze the mechanisms for compensation, identify operational and structural obstacles, and assess the effectiveness of DBK as a state-guaranteed alternative for victim recovery. A normative juridical approach was employed, combining legal and conceptual analyses, with data collected through statutory review, document analysis, and structured interviews with relevant stakeholders. The results indicate that while restitution mechanisms have been integrated from the investigation stage, their effectiveness is limited due to dependence on perpetrators’ ability to pay. Furthermore, DBK, designed to ensure recovery independent of the perpetrator, has not been operationally implemented at the regional level, constrained by unclear technical procedures, budget limitations, and weak coordination. The findings highlight a gap between legal design and practical execution, confirming that victim protection is still largely normative. The study concludes that strengthening institutional integration, operational clarity, and resource allocation for DBK is critical to provide real, sustainable recovery for victims and enhance the victim-oriented criminal justice system in Indonesia.
