Abstract

One of the uses of technology in education is to use e-learning-based learning media. E-learning media is a learning media equipped with web access. E-learning can make it easier for teachers to access various materials, worksheets and teaching materials through various media, one of which is by using Live Worksheets. The cause of low learning achievement is that students are less creative in learning, lack of practice questions and less interesting questions. Based on this, learning media is needed that can support the teaching process through comic-based student worksheets. The development of comic-based student worksheets aims to determine the validity of the media, students' responses to the media, and the effectiveness of the media developed in improving student learning outcomes. The method used in media development is ADDIE. Data collection techniques used in this study include: interviews, questionnaires or questionnaires and test techniques. The data analysis in this study is descriptive analysis and N-gain test. The sample used in this study is one lecturer who is a material expert, design expert, media expert, and 30 seventh grade students at the state junior high school 24 Medan. The validation results obtained from material experts, design experts, media experts are feasible to use. Abstract

Learning at UPT SMPN 1 Sutera seems to be still low, this is because the learning model used by teachers is still not appropriate and the discussion process has not been carried out well. One way to overcome this problem is to apply the STEM integrated Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. This research aims to determine the effect of the STEM integrated Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on student learning outcomes in human respiratory and excretory system material at UPT SMPN 1 Sutera. The type of research used in the research is Quasi Experiment, namely a research method to find the effect of certain treatments on others under controlled conditions. The design used in this research is the Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were class VIII students at UPT SMPN 1 Sutera. The sample in this study consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class which were taken using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used consisted of an observation sheet on the implementation of the STEM integrated PBL model, pre-test and post-test questions. The research data obtained was then analyzed through descriptive statistical tests and inferential statistics using SPSS version 25. Based on the results of the analysis in hypothesis testing, it showed that there was a significant average difference between the control and experimental classes. The results of research hypothesis testing were found to be 0.000 and smaller than 0.05. Thus, it can be seen that the significant difference between Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, so there is an influence. The conclusion from the hypothesis test is that there is a significant influence between students' scores using the STEM integrated PBL learning model. So H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So there is an influence of the STEM integrated PBL model on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Low student communication skills have been the cause of this research, which had an impact on learning outcomes because there had not been training on students' communication skills through the application of appropriate learning models. The learning process, which still uses conventional learning models, namely group discussions, has not made each student active and responsible for group assignments and has not trained communication skills in scientific arguments. Therefore, an appropriate learning model is needed, one of which is the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model. The aim of the research is to determine the effect of implementing the NHT type cooperative learning model on the communication skills of SMPN 3 Tebo students. The research uses a Quasi-Experimental type of research with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research began with a pretest in the experimental class and control class, then treatment was given to the experimental class, and at the end of the learning process, a posttest was given to both classes. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. The test instrument consists of 13 description questions. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel to carry out prerequisite tests and hypothesis tests on overall communication skills and each ability indicator. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in students' overall communication skills between before and after treatment. Through the Mann Whitney test with Zcount -5.32 and Ztabel 1.96 with the criterion that H0 is accepted if –Ztabel ≤ Zcount ≤ Ztabel, then Zcount -5.32 < -Ztabel -1.96, then H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of implementing the Numbered Head Together type learning model on the communication skills of students at SMP Negeri 3 Tebo Regency.
