Abstract

Moral decadence becomes a problem that cannot be taken lightly, which in turn becomes a crisis that permeates all segments of life and layers of society, including the education segment. The current state of education, if observed, is increasingly apprehensive, so it requires an appropriate solution to overcome it. To go towards holistic character education and to arrive at the goal of character education, it must not be separated from the principles of character education. Because the principle is the most fundamental and the main thing, the thing that cannot be absent in action. The principle is the spirit of a development or change, and is the accumulation of experience and meaning by a particular object or subject. To achieve the success of character education is indeed not easy, it requires a structured and intense process of education and coaching. According to Az-Zarnuji in our ta'limul muta’lim, the process starts from the structuring of the heart to the intentions, goals, etiquette in learning and its application in life so that it becomes a person of character.

Abstract

Today's education can be said to be alarming, as a person who is concerned in education we must not be trapped in material things, for example we judge the level of education of a person from the degree he has, how many degrees he has and where he got it, but today we do not see a more substantial state of "They". Let's look at school children at this time have reduced respect for older people and think more biased and smarter than others. In the context of learning, doctrination still occurs in each subject matter. Learning activities are more focused on the minimum level of thinking (low order thinking), the teacher's job is simply to at the same time prohibit students - without providing opportunities for independent learning. This kind of educational practice by Emha Ainun Nadjib is often criticized that schools are like factories that require product standardization.

The emergence of the concept of multiculturalism is often associated with religion, namely "religious multiculturalism" which emphasizes the non-separation of religion from the state, does not tolerate the existence of understanding, culture, and people who are atheists (Harahap, 2008). In this context, multiculturalism is seen as an enrichment of the concept of religious harmony that is developed nationally. Abstract

Abstract

Religious education conducted by pesantren has a large role in developing multicultural theology. Borrowing the philosophy of education, education for liberation is not for domination. Education must be a process of liberation, not socio-cultural taming. Education aims to work on human reality and therefore, methodologically rests on the principles of action and total reflection, namely the principle of acting to change the oppressive reality. For this reason, the challenges of pesantren are no longer focused on empowering human resources, by making programs, such as craft courses with tools, tools and machines, sewing, carpentry, home furnishings, farming and gardening, welding and electrical engineering . Poesantren is now faced with the challenge of multiculturalism that has become a social reality. Keywords: Pesantren Concept, Pesantren Design, Multicultural Education.

Abstract

Global life is something that cannot be avoided, and indeed it is not necessary to avoid it. But the problem is how to empower Muslims to color the global culture. For this reason, the role of Islamic education is very significant in providing provisions for humanity to be able to move swiftly in the area of globalization. In short, the quality of our education is still very concern. Its rank is far below other countries. In addition, the educational problems experienced by Indonesia also cause a decline in the academic moral quality of our education which causes the ultimate purpose of education is never seen and influential in our lives. Although it is recognized that it is still very difficult to see signs that allow our education get a resurgence and have an increasingly large role in the future, we are always required to "scavenge" the signs of its development. The handling of various educational problems cannot be done by one component only, especially if it is imposed to the government itself. Because educational activities are collective activities and education development is the collective task of all components of the nation. For this reason, raising public participation is something that needs to be pursued.

Abstract

Education is a conscious effort given by a person through a learning process to form a generation of character, knowledge and religion. Education itself is given by anyone who has more knowledge to humans who have not yet learned. With education it is expected to be able to increase the potential that exists in humans. Speaking of education, there are several figures who play a role in building, optimizing and shaping an education. By looking at the explanation above, the need for an understanding in society about education. In this article, we will discuss aspects of education in 5W + 1H. Namely What is the meaning of education? Who is the real educator? Why is education needed? When is education going on? Where is the education carried out? Abdul Wahid Hasyim was born on June 1, 1914 AD or to coincide with the 5th Wed 'al-awwal 1333 H in Jombang, East Java. He is the son of K.H Hasyim Asy'ari, founder of Nahdlatul Ulama. Ki Hadjar Dewantara was born in Yogyakarta on May 2, 1889. He was the fifth son of Soeryaningrat, the son of Paku Alam III. When he was born, he was given the name Soewardi Soeryaningrat, because he was still of royal descent, he was awarded the title Raden Mas (RM), which later became his full name Raden Mas Soewardi Soeryaningrat. What does education mean? From the two thoughts of the educational figure above, it can be concluded that education is a conscious effort made by someone in printing knowledgeable, character, and religious people. Who are the real educators? According to Ki Hajar Dewantara educating in the real sense is the process of humanizing humanity, namely the appointment of humans to the human level. Educating more liberates people from aspects of inner life (autonomy of thinking and making decisions, dignity, democratic mentality). According to K.H.A. Wahid Hasyim, an educator is not only competent in the field of science, but must master the science of religion. He was guided by the words of the Prophet Muhammad "there is no religion, for people who are not intelligent". Why is education needed? Education takes place at any time, because remembering the human need for education itself is very high. To get an education there is no need for someone to wait for adulthood or the time they have the ability. But education continues as long as someone understands the benefits and functions of education. When does education take place? In understanding the reasons why education is needed, it will be more striking if understood from the aspect of the purpose of education itself. Humans are born with powerlessness, and have different advantages and disadvantages. Humans also have the potential that should be able to develop but humans have weaknesses. For this reason, the purpose of education is the process of human maturity which can bring up potentials in human beings. Where is the education conducted? Ki Hajar Dewantara, who mentioned that the learning environment contained three elements, namely what is known as the education center or tri education center consisting of the realm of the family, the nature of the paguron (school) and the realm of youth (the community). How is the process of implementing education? Based on the theory of learning levels proposed by Ki Hadjar Dewantara, there are four stages of learning. In the implementation of education K.H.A. Wahid Hasyim combines learning models in pesantren with modern learning. Kata Kunci: Konsep 5W+1H, Pendidikan

Abstract

The era of modernization is an era where developments and changes cover all aspects of human life. The development of the times seemed to continue running and make a change that is so obvious. Every human who lives in this era seems to continue to experience spontaneous changes whether consciously or unconsciously. These developments and changes permeate all aspects of life, including those in the aspect of education. Education in the modern era continues to improve, educational actors are competing to improve the quality of education according to their development, following the times, following the wishes of the people who are currently very "literate" about the times. In this modern era, education is a very important thing to be mastered by every individual. The community is competing to get their children into schools that are considered qualified to get a decent education. Speaking of contemporary or modern education in Indonesia, is inseparable from the portrait of the thoughts of educational leaders who brought it into modern education as it is today. Indonesia's education formulation was formed based on educational thought by educational figures as the forerunner to the birth of education and continues to develop into the present. And it should be noted that in its development, the Indonesian education system is inseparable from history and one of them is about Indonesian education figures who should not be forgotten as a reflection of the Indonesian education system in this modern era.
