PaKMas (Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) juga meliputi kegiatan pengabdian, seperti: bidang ilmu pengetahuan, sosial, ekonomi, kesehatan, budaya, terapan, pengembangan TIK, dan pelayanan administrasi. Serta pelatihan dan peningkatan hasil pendidikan, pertanian, informasi dan komunikasi, pengajaran, pemberdayaan komunitas (komunitas pelajar dan pemuda) dan organisasi masyarakat secara berkelanjutan. Jurnal PaKMas terbit 2 kali setahun pada bulan Mei dan November.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide knowledge about leadership to santri and santriwati in the Saifullah An-Nahdliyah Modern Islamic Boarding School environment through Outing Class activities. A total of 40 people from several grade levels equivalent to SMP / MTs and SMA / MA, consisting of 22 male students, and 18 female students participated in this activity. The method of this community service activity uses the lecture method, direct demonstration, discussion, and question and answer. The lecture method was used to convey general knowledge about leadership. Demonstration is used to provide direct skills regarding understanding, how to form, and types of leadership by utilizing existing games and tools. Discussion and question and answer are used to complete things that have not been accommodated by the two methods above. The obstacle faced is that the students do not have prior knowledge about leadership. The service team provided material on leadership and teamwork, then Outing Class activities were carried out by playing several types of leadership games such as leaking pipe games, rigging games, water tower games, Human Ladder games, and moving bracelets games. The post-test results showed that after participating in the activity the participants' understanding and knowledge of leadership increased, as shown by the N-gain results which were categorized as high (g> 0.7). Abstract

Village financial management is something that really needs to be considered in its implementation. In Law No. 6 of 2014, it is explained that 10 percent of the source of funds for village management comes from the APBN. The 10 percent allocation from the APBN will increase village fund revenues. Village funds provided by the central government aim to encourage the productivity of rural communities. This increasing village fund receipt requires good village financial management, namely the need to prepare financial reports and accountability reports from the village in accordance with the guidelines in government regulation no. 113 of 2014, namely village financial management is all activities which include planning, implementation, administration, reporting and accountability of village finances. The aim of implementing this community service (PKM) is to provide adequate knowledge and training to village officials in Semanget village regarding the management and financial reporting of village funds in a good, transparent, accountable, participatory, orderly and budget discipline manner in accordance with Permendagri Number 113 of 2014, Apart from that, this community service is also useful in early prevention of potential misappropriation of village funds so that village fund managers can avoid legal problems in the future.

Abstract

This article delves into the in-depth design and development of the official website for Claket Tourist Village in Pacet, Mojokerto, accessible through www.desawisataclaket.com. Recognized as a crucial component in advancing and communicating the tourism destination, the website plays a pivotal role. Its design process involves the application of Design Thinking, with a primary focus on user experience. The main objective of this website is to provide comprehensive information about tourist attractions, local cultural richness, accommodation options, culinary delights, and cultural event schedules in Claket Tourist Village. Through a creative approach, appropriate color usage, and tailored font types, the website aims to be a highly effective tool in introducing Claket Tourist Village to potential visitors. More than just an information platform, the website is considered a bridge connecting visitors to the natural and cultural heritage of Claket Tourist Village. Therefore, it not only delivers positive benefits to visitors but also contributes positively to the local community. Consequently, it is anticipated that support for the development of the tourism sector in the region will increase, creating sustained positive impacts for Claket Tourist Village and its residents.

Abstract

Healthy living habits must be instilled from an early age starting from oneself and unhealthy lifestyle changes must be reorganized to avoid the possibility of disease, one of which is gastritis. Gastritis is a disease that triggers an infection that occurs in the gastric mucosa caused by Mycobacterium and Helicobacter pylori, usually characterized by nausea, vomiting, pain in the pit of the stomach, and also headaches. Students are vulnerable to suffering from gastritis because students' daily lives are busy with lectures and assignments, so they tend to pay less attention to the food they consume, both the pattern and type of food. In efforts to prevent, the role of health implementation is very important, namely by providing health education to students. Health education is the first level of prevention carried out to reorganize unhealthy living habits. This research aims to increase the knowledge of MIK STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan study program students about gastritis. This health education activity is carried out using lecture and discussion methods. The results of the activity showed that there was a difference in the average knowledge score before and after health education was implemented. The conclusion of this health education activity is that there has been an increase in the knowledge of MIK STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan study program students by 29.87 points, so it is hoped that increasing knowledge can change student behavior, especially about how to prevent gastritis.

Abstract

This article contains the results of service regarding village library management training for youth in Binor village, Paiton sub-district, Probolinggo district, East Java. The existence of a village library next to the mosque with ample parking is a good opportunity for the village library to optimize library management. The educated young people of Binor village also have the potential to develop human resources in making a more real contribution to their village in supporting the human development index (HDI), both in educational, cultural, religious and other aspects. In the educational aspect, young people from Karang Taruna can be optimized to support the reading and writing literacy program in optimizing the management of the 'Rohiqul Ilmi' village library in Binor village, but not all village youth are interested and interested in optimizing the village library. This is the reason for the Nurul Jadid University student service carried out between August and October 2023 which is focused on supporting the village library management program. This service uses the participatory action research (PAR) method, to collect data, analyze problems, formulate solutions, and implement corrective actions. The result; (1) Service takes place synergistically in the same paradigm by reviewing relevant literature in the concept of village library management; (2) establishing a stronger partnership with the involvement of the Nurul Jadid University community in encouraging village youth to be aware of literacy; and (3) supporting the National Library program in creating Indonesian reading ambassadors (DBI) in the regions, especially through the Binor village library, Paiton.

Abstract

Youth entrepreneurship contributes to the social, cultural, and economic development of society, especially in many developing countries. The idea of encouraging young people to start businesses for a variety of reasons is now widely encouraged. However, there are many challenges and doubts faced in starting a business particularly after the Covid-19 is over. Therefore, the community service was carried out by lecturers at Business School, Universitas Pelita Harapan Medan Campus, providing the onsite seminar and training to 70 high school students at Santo Nicholas School in February 2023. The purpose of the community service was to encourage the students to plan their business projects by presenting data and information on the latest trends and issues in entrepreneurship and finance, as well as conducting one-to-one sessions with the students. Most of the students were enthusiastic throughout the activities resulting in several business plans and proposals being created at the end of the community service. It is implied that young people are indeed motivated to begin their entrepreneurship journey and school is the right place for them to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills. Teachers and parents are suggested to continue to assist the students by providing the commitment and funding required to begin and sustain the business.

Abstract

Household waste processing is still a challenge. Various ways have been done so that household waste has more value and is more useful. One way is done through counseling. This counselling aims to improve the knowledge, understanding, and skills of PKK mothers in household waste management. Thus, it is expected to be able to change the pattern of behaviour and household habits towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. Counselling was carried out to PKK mothers in Kalurahan Srimulyo Piyungan Bantul. The counselling activity will be held on December 22, 2023, in the multipurpose room/hall of Kalurahan Srimulyo Piyungan Bantul. The extension activities carried out include the presentation of material related to waste processing in general starting from recycling, the waste hierarchy process (consisting of reduce, reuse, and recycling along with examples of activities), and then material related to stools/chairs from RT waste in the form of used plastic bottles and used clothes. This waste processing extension activity is the beginning of activities before entering the practical stage for the process of making stools from used plastic bottles and used clothes.

Abstract

Maintain economic stability and meet the needs of the community, tax revenue is one of the vital sources of revenue for the government. However, major challenges often arise in ensuring that all taxpayers meet their tax obligations correctly. Tax is a compulsory contribution to the state that must be paid by an individual or entity, which is coercive in accordance with the provisions of the law, without getting direct compensation, used in order to meet the needs of the state in order to achieve maximum welfare of the people. Payment of taxes to the state is mandatory for taxpayers, both individuals and entities. Tax payment is a form of community cooperation in national financing and development, which aims primarily to improve the welfare and prosperity of the entire community. The target of this community service activity is Widya Dharma University Pontianak students who have registered. This activity is held based on needs and increases students' knowledge and abilities by providing socialization. After the socialization was delivered, students understood and realized the importance of accurate and responsible reporting as taxpayers. Follow-up efforts include re-examination of annual tax returns, awareness raising, conducting further consultation processes, participation in voluntary disclosures and reminders and further counseling.

Abstract

This service article discusses the role of students in community service through teaching and socialization in Adan-Adan Village. This volunteer project demonstrates the value of community service in the context of higher education. This activity includes coaching, teaching, and preserving cultural heritage, with training methods that include planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Adan-Adan Village conducted community service on March 18, 2024. Teaching activities were conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Falah, SD Negri 1 Adan-Adan, and Taman Pendidikan Al Qur’an Annur. In order to encourage young people to spread the advantages of community service, this community service project aims to develop technological innovations. Community service activities in schools and TPQ can also provide better dedication to improving the quality of learning and teaching and developing student potential. Furthermore, cultural heritage preservation plays a critical role in preserving human cultural heritage and the legitimacy of a community's cultural identity. Therefore, the community is crucial to ensuring that cultural heritage is sustained. The success of this service activity is evident from the students' and the Adan-Adan Village community's active participation in it, according to the questionnaire provided by the service team.
