PaKMas (Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) merupakan jurnal yang didedikasikan untuk mempublikasi hasil-hasil kegiatan Pengabdian yang dilakukan oleh Mahasiswa, Dosen dan seluruh lapisan masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk menyebarluaskan hasil pemikiran dan gagasan konseptual, serta tentang kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat dengan berbagai potensi, hambatan, tantangan, dan permasalahan yang ada di lingkungan masyarakat. PaKMas (Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) juga meliputi kegiatan pengabdian, seperti: bidang ilmu pengetahuan, sosial, ekonomi, kesehatan, budaya, terapan, pengembangan TIK, dan pelayanan administrasi. Serta pelatihan dan peningkatan hasil pendidikan, pertanian, informasi dan komunikasi, pengajaran, pemberdayaan komunitas (komunitas pelajar dan pemuda) dan organisasi masyarakat secara berkelanjutan. Jurnal PaKMas terbit 2 kali setahun pada bulan Mei dan November.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN PMM) conducted by students in Mayayap Village, Bualemo District, Banggai Regency, aimed to increase the added value of local agricultural and fishery products. Partners faced several obstacles, including limited skills in processing available local resources, such as coconuts, bananas, fish, shrimp, and crab; limited business capital; poor packaging techniques; and weak marketing management. Activities included outreach, production training, improved packaging techniques, marketing strategies, business management, and the provision of production equipment. The program resulted in the development of five superior village products: fish floss, shrimp nuggets, crab crackers, Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO), and banana chips. Furthermore, partners experienced improved skills in production, business management, and marketing. This program supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically poverty alleviation, women's empowerment, and food and economic security. Outputs included the publication of scientific articles, online media coverage, posters, and video documentation. Collaboration between universities and the community has been proven to strengthen the village economy sustainably.

Abstract

Stunting remains a significant public health issue in Indonesia, primarily due to a lack of public awareness regarding proper parenting practices and optimal child nutrition. This community service program aimed to enhance awareness and understanding, particularly among PKK mothers in Tanjung Dayang Selatan Village, Indralaya Selatan Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir Regency, about the importance of preventing stunting through strengthening family parenting practices. The method employed involved socialization sessions and interactive education using PowerPoint presentations, educational videos, and discussions. A pre-test and post-test were administered to assess participants' knowledge before and after the session. The results showed a significant improvement, with the average pre-test score at 61% and the post-test score increasing to 84%, indicating a better understanding of appropriate parenting practices and the fulfillment of nutritional needs essential for optimal child growth. Additionally, the involvement of university students in this program provided valuable experiential learning in community engagement. Through this initiative, it is expected that the community will be more aware of the critical role families play in preventing stunting, thereby fostering a healthier environment for future generations.

Abstract

The rapid growth of technology has driven economic transformation towards the digital era, including in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. Café Travel, an MSME selling pizza, coffee, and soft drinks, has experienced a revenue decline since the COVID-19 pandemic due to limited market reach and manual sales data management. This situation has led to a high risk of recording errors and restricted product innovation. This Community Service activity aims to develop a web-based sales information system to improve operational efficiency and expand market reach. The system development was carried out using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology with a prototyping approach, supported by business process modeling using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) and system documentation using Unified Modeling Language (UML). The developed information system has pizza order customization features, integrated sales processing, and structured sales data management. It was built using the PHP programming language and the Laravel 11 framework. Implementing this system is expected to improve the accuracy of sales record-keeping, accelerate transaction processes, and facilitate customers' customizing menu orders according to their preferences.

Abstract

This Community Empowerment Partnership (PKM) study aims to improve the economy of BUMDesa Ana Ogie in Kanaungan Village, Pangkep Regency, which is an area with abundant milkfish production. The main problems faced by partners are (1) limited knowledge of product diversification, (2) lack of packaging skills, (3) minimal understanding of digital marketing, (4) and lack of understanding of business management. This PKM program focuses on training in processing boneless milkfish into fish sauce and optimizing digital marketing. The methods used include training in product diversification, assistance with branding and packaging, and optimization of marketing through digital platforms such as social media and marketplaces. A total of 20 participants, consisting of BUMDesa administrators and local community members, were involved in the three-day activity. The results of this program show a significant improvement in the skills of BUMDesa managers, with products that have a longer shelf life. Product marketing has also expanded, with a 45% increase in sales in three months through online platforms. Abstract

The increasing speed of information accessibility marked by the birth of digital technology has changed the way we live our daily lives. Skills in this technological field can help us overcome various challenges in the digital era. Of the many skills in the field of technology and information today, the ability and mastery of the Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the most important areas. One key aspect of being able to understand Internet of Things technology is its utilization for communities in need. This Community Service Activity is in the form of community empowerment with the theme "Empowering Pamsimas (Community-Based Drinking Water and Sanitation Program) Banyu Berkah Setono using IoT". This activity aims to empower Pamsimas, which is still based on written data, to become digital-based data through a website. The implementation of this activity was carried out by conducting initial observations and coordinating with the head of Pamsimas Banyu Berkah as a partner of this activity, followed by the implementation stage of training activities. The implementation method is providing material about the website, as well as how to fill in and practice using the website itself. From this training activity, participants were able to understand the basic concepts of website organization, and were also able to input Pamsimas customer data on the website.
