Abstract

The main problem in this study is the low level of student engagement, logical thinking skills, and collaboration in Indonesian language learning, particularly in the topic of affixes and conjunctions between sentences among fifth-grade students at SDN Sungai Miai 8. This condition was triggered by learning activities that remained monotonous, lacked variation, and provided limited opportunities for interaction. To address these issues, the PIJAR learning model (Active Learning, Collaborative Integration, Role Exploration, and Logical Rationalization) was implemented, combining elements of Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Jigsaw, and Role Playing. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in four cycles involving 15 fifth-grade students, consisting of 8 boys and 7 girls. Data were collected through observations of teacher and student activities, assessments of logical thinking and collaboration skills, and learning achievement tests. The results showed a significant improvement in student activity from 46% to 98%, logical thinking skills from 41% to 89%, and group collaboration from 41% to 91% across the cycles. Furthermore, the average learning outcomes consistently increased from 43% to 81%. Therefore, the PIJAR model has proven to be effective in enhancing both the learning process and learning outcomes in Indonesian language instruction at the elementary school level. ABSTRAKPermasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keterlibatan siswa, kemampuan berpikir logis, serta kerja sama dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, khususnya materi imbuhan dan kata hubung antar kalimat di kelas V SDN Sungai Miai 8. Kondisi tersebut dipicu oleh proses pembelajaran yang masih cenderung monoton, minim variasi, dan kurang memberikan ruang interaksi. Untuk menjawab permasalahan ini, digunakan model pembelajaran PIJAR (Pembelajaran Aktif, Integrasi Kolaboratif, Jelajah Peran, dan Rasionalisasi Logika) yang merupakan gabungan dari Problem Based Learning (PBL), Jigsaw, dan Role Playing. Penelitian berbentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini dilaksanakan dalam empat siklus dengan melibatkan 15 siswa kelas V, terdiri atas 8 laki-laki dan 7 perempuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, keterampilan berpikir logis, kerja sama, serta tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada aktivitas siswa dari 46% menjadi 98%, kemampuan berpikir logis dari 41% menjadi 89%, serta kerja sama kelompok dari 41% menjadi 91% dilihat dari siklus ke siklus. Selain itu, nilai rata-rata hasil belajar juga mengalami kenaikan yang konsisten setiap pertemuannya, dari 43% menjadi 81%. Dengan demikian, model PIJAR terbukti efektif meningkatkan kualitas proses maupun hasil pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study focuses on whether the implementation of the Game-Based Learning (GBL) model assisted by Quizwhiz Cards can improve the learning motivation of fifth-grade students at SDN 67 Kota Timur. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The subjects of the study were fifth-grade students of SDN 67 Kota Timur, Gorontalo City. Preliminary observations indicated that students’ learning motivation was relatively low. This condition was caused by the limited use of instructional media and the lack of student attention during lessons. In Cycle I, 5 students (22.73%) were categorized as having “High Motivation,” 3 students (13.63%) as having “Moderate Motivation,” and 14 students (63.64%) as having “Low Motivation.” These results show that the overall motivation level in Cycle I remained below the expected standard. However, after the implementation of actions in Cycle II, there was a significant improvement—18 students (81.82%) were in the “High Motivation” category, 4 students (18.18%) in the “Moderate Motivation” category, and none in the “Low Motivation” category. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of the Game-Based Learning (GBL) model assisted by Quizwhiz Cards effectively enhanced students’ learning motivation in the topic of the human respiratory system among fifth-grade students at SDN 67 Kota Timur, Gorontalo City. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berfokus pada apakah penerapan model pembelajaran Game Based Learning berbantuan media Quizwhiz Cards dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas V di SDN 67 Kota Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN 67 Kota Timur, Kota Gorontalo. Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa masih tergolong rendah. Kondisi ini disebabkan oleh keterbatasan media pembelajaran serta kurangnya perhatian siswa saat guru menyampaikan materi. Pada siklus I, tercatat sebanyak sebanyak 5 siswa (22,73%) masuk dalam kategori “Motivasi Tinggi”, sementara 3 siswa (13,63%) berada dalam kategori “Motivasi Sedang”, dan 14 siswa (63,64%) masuk dalam kategori “Motivasi Rendah” Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat motivasi pada siklus I masih tergolong rendah belum mencapai tingkat motivasi belajar yang diharapkan. Namun, setelah dilakukan tindakan pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan, di mana sebanyak 18 siswa atau 81,82%, sementara yang termasuk dalam kategori “Motivasi Sedang” hanya 4 siswa atau 18,18%. Dan untuk kategori “Motivasi Rendah” adalah 0. Berdasarkan hasil ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa kelas V telah mencapai standar indikator kinerja yang ditetapkan. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Game Based Learning (GBL) dengan dukungan media Quizwhiz Cards efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada materi sistem organ pernapasan manusia di kelas V SDN 67 Kota Timur, Kota Gorontalo.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The difficulty in comprehending mathematical research articles written in English remains a common issue among university students, particularly pre-service teachers, due to limited exposure to academic texts. This condition often restricts their ability to connect theoretical understanding with current research practices in mathematics. This classroom action research aimed to enhance students’ comprehension of mathematical research articles through active and reflective class presentations. The study involved 20 third-semester students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at STKIP Kusuma Negara and was carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The first cycle emphasized understanding the structure and content of articles through presentations, while the second focused on deeper analysis supported by guided reading, terminology clarification, and lecturer feedback. Data were collected through pre- and post-tests, classroom observations, and individual presentations assessments. The findings indicated a significant improvement in students’ ability to understand research structures, methods, and mathematical arguments, with comprehension increasing by 20.0% after Cycle I and 18.1% after Cycle II. It can be concluded that integrating class presentation within a classroom action research framework effectively enhances students’ academic literacy, analytical skills, and confidence in critically understanding and communicating mathematical research articles. ABSTRAK Kesulitan dalam memahami artikel penelitian matematika berbahasa Inggris masih menjadi kendala umum di kalangan mahasiswa, terutama calon guru, karena terbatasnya paparan terhadap teks akademik. Kondisi ini menghambat kemampuan mereka dalam menghubungkan teori dengan praktik penelitian terkini di bidang matematika. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap artikel penelitian matematika melalui kegiatan presentasi kelas yang bersifat aktif dan reflektif. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 20 mahasiswa semester ketiga Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika di STKIP Kusuma Negara melalui dua siklus yang mencakup tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Siklus pertama berfokus pada pemahaman struktur dan isi artikel melalui presentasi, sedangkan siklus kedua menekankan analisis yang lebih mendalam melalui pembacaan terarah, klarifikasi istilah, serta umpan balik dosen. Data dikumpulkan melalui pra-tes dan pasca-tes, pengamatan kelas, serta penilaian presentasi individu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan mahasiswa memahami struktur, metode penelitian, dan argumen matematika dengan peningkatan sebesar 20,0% pada Siklus I dan 18,1% pada Siklus II. Simpulan menunjukkan bahwa integrasi kegiatan presentasi dalam pembelajaran berbasis penelitian tindakan kelas efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi akademik, keterampilan analitis, serta kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam memahami dan mengomunikasikan isi artikel penelitian matematika secara kritis dan terarah.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Backhand stroke skill is one of the essential basic techniques in table tennis that students need to master in physical education learning. However, the learning process in schools often faces limitations in facilities, particularly the limited number of paddles, which reduces students’ opportunities to practice optimally. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of using modified paddles to improve backhand stroke skills in table tennis among tenth-grade students of MA NW Pringgarata in 2023. The study employed a classroom action research method consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects consisted of 10 students. The action was carried out through learning activities using modified paddles made from plywood soft wood coated with synthetic polyester fabric. The research instruments included a backhand stroke skill test, a student participation observation sheet, and a student attitude observation sheet. Data were analyzed descriptively using quantitative analysis based on mean scores and learning mastery percentages. The results showed that the use of modified paddles was able to improve backhand stroke skills, student participation, and student attitudes during the learning process. The use of modified equipment also helped create a more active and adaptive learning environment suitable for schools with limited sports facilities. ABSTRAK Keterampilan pukulan backhand merupakan salah satu teknik dasar penting dalam permainan tenis meja yang perlu dikuasai siswa dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani. Namun, proses pembelajaran di sekolah sering menghadapi kendala keterbatasan sarana, khususnya jumlah bet yang terbatas sehingga kesempatan praktik siswa menjadi kurang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan alat modifikasi bet dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pukulan backhand tenis meja pada siswa kelas X MA NW Pringgarata Tahun 2023. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 10 siswa. Tindakan dilakukan melalui pembelajaran menggunakan bet modifikasi berbahan dasar plywood soft wood yang dilapisi kain sintetis jenis polyester. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas tes keterampilan pukulan backhand, lembar observasi partisipasi siswa, dan lembar observasi sikap siswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif berdasarkan nilai rata-rata dan persentase ketuntasan belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bet modifikasi mampu meningkatkan keterampilan pukulan backhand, partisipasi, dan sikap siswa selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Penggunaan alat modifikasi juga membantu menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, adaptif, dan sesuai diterapkan pada sekolah dengan keterbatasan fasilitas olahraga.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Discus throw learning in schools still faces various challenges, including limited facilities, low student participation, and the use of less varied teaching methods, resulting in suboptimal learning outcomes. This study aimed to improve discus throw learning outcomes through the implementation of the rotational throw method for eighth-grade students at MTs Al-Islahussibyan Dopang in the 2023/2024 academic year. The study employed a classroom action research method conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects consisted of 30 eighth-grade students. Data were collected through learning outcome tests covering psychomotor, cognitive, and affective aspects, student activity observation sheets, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques based on the average scores and the percentage of students’ learning mastery in each cycle. The results showed that the implementation of the rotational throw method gradually improved students’ discus throw learning outcomes. Students became more active, more confident, and better able to understand the coordination of discus throw movements through systematic and repetitive practice. Students’ learning mastery increased significantly and exceeded the predetermined success indicators. These findings indicate that the rotational throw method can serve as an effective and adaptive alternative for athletics instruction, particularly in schools with limited learning facilities. ABSTRAK Pembelajaran lempar cakram di sekolah masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, seperti keterbatasan sarana, rendahnya partisipasi siswa, dan penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi sehingga hasil belajar siswa belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar lempar cakram melalui penerapan metode rotational throw pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Al-Islahussibyan Dopang Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 30 siswa kelas VIII. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar pada aspek psikomotor, kognitif, dan afektif, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, serta dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif berdasarkan rata-rata nilai dan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa pada setiap siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode rotational throw mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar lempar cakram secara bertahap. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif, lebih percaya diri, dan lebih mudah memahami koordinasi gerakan lempar cakram melalui latihan yang dilakukan secara sistematis dan berulang. Ketuntasan belajar siswa meningkat secara signifikan hingga melampaui indikator keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode rotational throw dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran atletik yang efektif, adaptif, dan sesuai diterapkan pada sekolah dengan keterbatasan fasilitas pembelajaran.
