Abstract

This study aims to deeply analyze and describe the concept of character education initiated by Kiai Haji Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur), who is a central figure in Indonesian Islamic and national discourse. The method employed by the author in compiling this article is Library Research, which involves collecting data sources from various literature related to the topic of discussion. Gus Dur's thinking on character education is rooted in universal Islamic values that are integrated with the social, cultural, political context, and principles of democracy. Gus Dur consistently rejected exclusive and fundamentalist approaches, instead promoting an open, tolerant, and inclusive attitude as the main foundation of education. For Gus Dur, education has a fundamental role as a source of human freedom and a means to achieve self-reliance and better quality of life. His philosophical foundation is strongly based on the principles of humanism and respect for human rights, linking these values to the basic principles of Islam (Al-Kulliyat al-Khams). He emphasized that Islamic education must liberate humanity from oppression and foster responsible freedom. Education, according to him, is an effort to humanize people (humanization) through the formation of character (akhlak), spirituality, and social awareness. The implementation of Gus Dur's ideas in the world of education centers on cultivating the value of tolerance as a primary characteristic, which respects religious plurality, culture, and worldviews. He also advocated for a humanistic and democratic education system, rejecting authoritarianism in the classroom, and encouraging students to think critically, creatively, and openly. Teachers are positioned as companions, not rulers. The core values of character education in Gus Dur's view include religiosity, honesty, tolerance, discipline, democracy, love of peace, social care, and responsibility. These values are realized in education that balances the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Specifically within the pesantren (Islamic boarding school) context, he emphasized three main values: viewing life as an act of worship, a love for religious knowledge, and sincerity (ikhlas) in work. ABSTRAKEskalasi intoleransi dan degradasi moral di era kontemporer menuntut reorientasi pendidikan karakter yang lebih substantif dan kontekstual. Namun, eksplorasi konseptual berbasis pemikiran tokoh bangsa, khususnya K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur), masih minim dilakukan dalam diskursus pendidikan nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengonstruksi konsep pendidikan karakter Gus Dur serta relevansinya sebagai landasan moral pendidikan modern. Metode: Studi ini menggunakan metode library research dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dari literatur primer dan sekunder yang menelaah pemikiran Gus Dur terkait humanisme, keislaman, dan pendidikan. Hasil: Temuan menunjukkan bahwa konstruksi pendidikan karakter Gus Dur berakar pada integrasi nilai universal Islam, humanisme, dan demokrasi. Inti gagasannya adalah "humanisasi pendidikan" yang menolak otoritarianisme kelas dan mengafirmasi kemerdekaan berpikir. Nilai karakter utama yang ditekankan meliputi toleransi, kejujuran, keadilan, serta etos khas pesantren seperti keikhlasan dan kecintaan pada ilmu. Diskusi: Konsep ini menawarkan antitesis terhadap pendidikan eksklusif melalui pendekatan inklusif yang menyeimbangkan ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Pemikiran Gus Dur mendesak untuk diinstitusionalisasi dalam kurikulum nasional dan integrasi pesantren-sekolah guna mencetak generasi yang moderat, berintegritas, dan berkewarganegaraan global.

Abstract

Educational leadership plays a strategic role in shaping the direction, quality, and effectiveness of educational institutions. Effective leaders not only manage administrative tasks but also foster a conducive learning environment, promote collaboration, and drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning. This study aims to analyze the fundamental concepts of educational leadership, identify relevant leadership types and models, explain the strategic roles of leaders in improving educational quality, and examine the challenges and strategies faced in the context of modern education. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining scholarly sources including journal articles, books, and academic publications relevant to educational leadership. The findings show that transformational, instructional, and participatory leadership models are the most effective in enhancing teacher performance, strengthening school culture, and improving learning outcomes. Furthermore, educational leaders play a crucial role in teacher development, curriculum enhancement, character building, and learning environment management. Contemporary challenges include digital transformation, globalization in education, limited resources, and shifts in social values. To address these challenges, leaders must strengthen digital literacy, foster innovation, build external partnerships, and cultivate a positive school culture. Overall, this study emphasizes that educational leadership serves as a foundational pillar in achieving sustainable improvements in educational quality. ABSTRAK Kepemimpinan pendidikan memiliki peran strategis dalam menentukan arah, kualitas, dan efektivitas penyelenggaraan pendidikan pada berbagai jenjang. Pemimpin pendidikan tidak hanya bertugas mengelola administrasi, tetapi juga bertanggung jawab menciptakan budaya sekolah yang kondusif, inovatif, dan berorientasi pada peningkatan mutu pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis secara komprehensif konsep dasar kepemimpinan pendidikan, tipe dan model kepemimpinan yang relevan di era modern, peran pemimpin dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, serta tantangan dan strategi yang dibutuhkan untuk menjawab dinamika perkembangan zaman. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menelaah sejumlah literatur ilmiah berupa jurnal, buku, dan karya akademik yang relevan dengan tema kepemimpinan pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional, instruksional, dan partisipatif merupakan model yang paling efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan kinerja sekolah. Selain itu, pemimpin pendidikan berperan penting dalam pembinaan guru, pengembangan kurikulum, penguatan karakter peserta didik, serta pengelolaan lingkungan belajar. Tantangan yang umum dihadapi antara lain digitalisasi, globalisasi, keterbatasan sumber daya, dan perubahan nilai sosial. Oleh karena itu, strategi seperti peningkatan kompetensi pemimpin, pemanfaatan teknologi, kolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak, dan penguatan budaya sekolah menjadi sangat penting. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan pendidikan berperan sebagai fondasi utama dalam pencapaian mutu pendidikan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Vocational education, particularly in the field of Electrical Installation Engineering, requires a high level of practical skills, including electric motor installation. However, limitations in practical facilities, safety risks, and limited student exploration time often pose significant challenges in conventional learning at Vocational High Schools (SMKs). This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Simurelay, an Android-based simulation media, as an alternative for practical electric motor installation learning. The method used is a systematic review of 10 relevant studies published between 2014 and 2025. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify improvements in conceptual understanding, procedural skills, and students’ practical readiness. The review results indicate that Simurelay consistently enhances the ability to read control diagrams, understand current flow, master component functions, and develop troubleshooting skills. This media also reduces cognitive load, strengthens mental models, increases students’ motivation and confidence, and provides a safe practice environment without equipment damage risk. The use of Simurelay supports learner-centered learning, integrating principles of multimedia learning, inquiry-based learning, and constructivism. Thus, Simurelay proves to be an effective, adaptive, and relevant pedagogical tool for modern vocational education and has the potential to expand the transformation of technical learning in SMKs. Further research is recommended to develop more advanced simulation features, integrate VR/AR, and evaluate the long-term impact on graduates’ workforce readiness. ABSTRAK Pendidikan vokasional, khususnya pada bidang Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik, menuntut penguasaan keterampilan praktis yang tinggi, termasuk instalasi motor listrik. Namun, keterbatasan sarana praktik, risiko keselamatan, dan rendahnya waktu eksplorasi siswa sering menjadi hambatan signifikan dalam pembelajaran konvensional di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Penelitian ini bertujuan menelaah efektivitas penggunaan Simurelay, sebuah media simulasi berbasis Android, sebagai alternatif pembelajaran praktik instalasi motor listrik. Metode yang digunakan adalah systematic review terhadap 10 penelitian relevan yang dipublikasikan antara 2014–2025. Analisis data dilakukan melalui content analysis untuk mengidentifikasi peningkatan pemahaman konseptual, keterampilan prosedural, dan kesiapan praktik siswa. Hasil review menunjukkan bahwa Simurelay secara konsisten meningkatkan kemampuan membaca diagram kontrol, memahami alur arus, menguasai fungsi komponen, serta keterampilan troubleshooting. Media ini juga menurunkan beban kognitif, memperkuat mental model, meningkatkan motivasi dan kepercayaan diri siswa, serta memungkinkan praktik aman tanpa risiko kerusakan alat. Penggunaan Simurelay mendukung pembelajaran learner-centered, mengintegrasikan prinsip multimedia learning, inquiry-based learning, dan constructivism. Dengan demikian, Simurelay terbukti menjadi media pedagogis yang efektif, adaptif, dan relevan untuk pendidikan vokasional modern, serta berpotensi memperluas transformasi pembelajaran teknik di SMK. Penelitian lebih lanjut disarankan untuk pengembangan fitur simulasi lebih kompleks, integrasi VR/AR, dan evaluasi dampak jangka panjang pada kesiapan kerja lulusan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The phenomenon of women becoming primary earners (female breadwinners) is increasingly evident in Indonesia, including in Bali. However, the rise of women’s economic roles is not always accompanied by adequate social acceptance, particularly within communities that continue to uphold patriarchal values. This article aims to analyze the psychological dynamics of female breadwinners within the context of Bali’s patriarchal social construction, including role strain, psychological conflict, social stigma, and adaptive strategies through social support and self-compassion. The method employed is a narrative literature review, examining relevant empirical and theoretical studies published between 2019 and 2025. The findings indicate that female breadwinners in Bali face multiple burdens, encompassing economic responsibilities, domestic duties, and customary obligations, which trigger work–family conflict, guilt, and emotional stress. Nevertheless, self-compassion, resilience, and social support serve as important protective factors that help women adapt and maintain their psychological well-being. This study highlights the importance of a multidimensional approach that considers psychological, social, and cultural aspects in empowering female breadwinners in Bali. ABSTRAK Fenomena perempuan sebagai pencari nafkah utama (female breadwinner) semakin meningkat di Indonesia, termasuk di Bali. Namun, peningkatan peran ekonomi perempuan tidak selalu diikuti oleh penerimaan sosial yang memadai, khususnya dalam masyarakat yang masih berpegang pada nilai patriarki. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika psikologis female breadwinner dalam konteks konstruksi sosial patriarki Bali, mencakup tekanan peran, konflik psikologis, stigma sosial, serta strategi adaptasi melalui dukungan sosial dan self-compassion. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur naratif dengan menganalisis penelitian empiris dan teoritis yang relevan pada rentang tahun 2019–2025. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan breadwinner di Bali menghadapi beban ganda berupa tanggung jawab ekonomi, domestik, dan kewajiban adat, yang memicu work–family conflict, rasa bersalah, dan stres emosional. Meskipun demikian, self-compassion, resiliensi, dan dukungan sosial terbukti menjadi faktor protektif penting yang membantu perempuan beradaptasi dan mempertahankan kesejahteraan psikologisnya. Studi ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan multidimensional yang mempertimbangkan aspek psikologis, sosial, dan budaya dalam pemberdayaan female breadwinner di Bali.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Female sex work is a highly stigmatized social phenomenon, causing the psychological experiences of women involved to be frequently overlooked. This article aims to examine how female sex workers construct meanings of self-identity, sexuality, and survival strategies while navigating social and structural pressures. The study employs a literature review method by analyzing national and international scholarly publications from the past ten years through systematic stages of source identification, literature selection, data extraction, and thematic analysis. The findings indicate that women’s involvement in sex work is not solely driven by economic factors but also reflects personal agency in responding to limited life opportunities. Their self-identity is shaped through continuous negotiation between professional demands, personal values, and prevailing social norms, while stigma contributes to anxiety, identity conflict, and emotional burden. Nevertheless, female sex workers demonstrate resilience through community support, spirituality, and emotional boundary management. The digitalization of sex work offers greater autonomy and control, yet also introduces risks of emotional isolation and security vulnerabilities. Overall, this review emphasizes the importance of an empathetic, contextual, and non-stigmatizing women’s psychology approach in understanding the lived experiences of female sex workers. ABSTRAK Pekerjaan seks perempuan merupakan fenomena sosial yang sarat stigma, sehingga pengalaman psikologis perempuan yang terlibat di dalamnya kerap terabaikan. Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji bagaimana perempuan pekerja seks memaknai identitas diri, seksualitas, serta strategi bertahan hidup dalam menghadapi tekanan sosial dan struktural. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review dengan menelaah publikasi ilmiah nasional dan internasional sepuluh tahun terakhir melalui tahapan pencarian sumber, seleksi literatur, ekstraksi temuan, dan analisis tematik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan perempuan dalam pekerjaan seks tidak hanya dipengaruhi faktor ekonomi, tetapi juga mencerminkan bentuk agensi personal dalam menghadapi keterbatasan hidup. Identitas diri terbentuk melalui proses negosiasi antara tuntutan profesi, nilai personal, dan norma sosial, sementara stigma berkontribusi pada kecemasan, konflik identitas, dan beban emosional. Meski demikian, perempuan pekerja seks menunjukkan resiliensi melalui dukungan komunitas, spiritualitas, serta pengelolaan batasan emosional. Digitalisasi pekerjaan seks memberikan peluang otonomi yang lebih besar, namun juga menghadirkan risiko isolasi emosional dan kerentanan keamanan. Kajian ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan psikologi perempuan yang empatik dan non-stigmatis.

Abstract

Administrative management of school facilities and infrastructure plays a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of educational implementation. However, evidence shows that many schools still struggle with asset documentation, facility maintenance, human resource readiness, and the adoption of digital systems, creating a significant gap between regulatory standards and real-world practice. This study aims to analyze current practices in school facility management and identify strategies to enhance operational efficiency and educational effectiveness. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature review of national and international journals, scientific books, and educational policy documents published between 2015 and 2025. Data analysis involved reduction, thematic categorization, and synthesis of findings from multiple sources. The results indicate that schools implementing digital asset management systems demonstrate higher effectiveness than those using manual methods, particularly in inventory accuracy, damage reporting, and administrative transparency. Moreover, human resource competence emerges as a key determinant of successful facility management. The study concludes that optimal management of school facilities depends on the integration of systematic planning, continuous maintenance, technology utilization, and consistent regulatory implementation. This research recommends strengthening human resource training and developing integrated digital systems to improve the quality of school facility governance. ABSTRAK Pengelolaan administrasi sarana dan prasarana merupakan aspek penting dalam memastikan efektivitas dan efisiensi penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Namun, berbagai temuan menunjukkan bahwa banyak sekolah masih menghadapi kendala dalam pendataan aset, pemeliharaan fasilitas, kesiapan sumber daya manusia, dan pemanfaatan teknologi, sehingga terjadi kesenjangan antara kondisi ideal yang ditetapkan regulasi dan praktik nyata di lapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis praktik pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana sekolah serta mengidentifikasi strategi yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas operasional. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik studi literatur terhadap jurnal nasional, jurnal internasional, buku ilmiah, dan dokumen kebijakan pendidikan terbitan 2015–2025. Analisis dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, kategorisasi tema, dan sintesis temuan dari berbagai sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah yang menerapkan sistem manajemen aset digital memiliki efektivitas lebih tinggi dibandingkan sekolah dengan pengelolaan manual, khususnya pada aspek inventarisasi, pelaporan kerusakan, dan transparansi administrasi. Selain itu, kompetensi SDM terbukti menjadi faktor penentu keberhasilan pengelolaan fasilitas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana yang optimal bergantung pada integrasi antara perencanaan yang baik, pemeliharaan berkelanjutan, pemanfaatan teknologi, serta implementasi regulasi yang konsisten. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya pelatihan SDM dan pengembangan sistem digital terintegrasi untuk memperkuat mutu tata kelola sarana prasarana sekolah.

Abstract

Classic problems in Arabic language learning in Islamic schools, such as the dominance of rigid grammatical methods, perceived material difficulty, and low student motivation, often hinder mastery of communicative competence. This study aims to address this stagnation by implementing an eclectic method as an alternative strategy to improve student understanding and active participation at MTsN 8 Ngawi. This study was conducted using a best practice approach with systematic stages that included presenting contextual dialogues orally to reduce affective filters, integrating the four language skills (maharah lughawiyah) through reading aloud and interactive discussions in core activities, and strengthening motivation in the closing stage. The results showed significant changes in classroom dynamics, which became more participatory and humanistic. Quantitatively, the effectiveness of this method was proven by the final evaluation results, where 100% of students (a total of 24 students) were declared to have completed the course with scores above the minimum completion criteria (?70). In addition to academic achievement, this method also had a positive impact on improving students' Quranic reading literacy. It was concluded that the eclectic method effectively bridges the gap between structural theory and functional practice, and is therefore recommended as an inclusive and sustainable learning model. ABSTRAK Permasalahan klasik dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab di madrasah, seperti dominasi metode gramatikal yang kaku, persepsi kesulitan materi, dan rendahnya motivasi siswa, sering kali menghambat penguasaan kompetensi komunikatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi stagnasi tersebut dengan menerapkan metode eklektik sebagai strategi alternatif guna meningkatkan pemahaman dan partisipasi aktif peserta didik di MTsN 8 Ngawi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan best practice dengan tahapan sistematis yang meliputi penyajian dialog kontekstual secara lisan untuk menurunkan filter afektif, integrasi empat keterampilan berbahasa (maharah lughawiyah) melalui teknik membaca nyaring dan diskusi interaktif pada kegiatan inti, serta penguatan motivasi pada tahap penutup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perubahan signifikan pada dinamika kelas yang menjadi lebih partisipatif dan humanis. Secara kuantitatif, efektivitas metode ini terbukti dari hasil evaluasi akhir di mana 100% peserta didik (total 24 siswa) dinyatakan tuntas dengan perolehan nilai di atas kriteria ketuntasan minimal (?70). Selain capaian akademik, metode ini juga berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan literasi membaca Al-Qur'an siswa. Disimpulkan bahwa metode eklektik efektif menjembatani kesenjangan antara teori struktural dan praktik fungsional, sehingga direkomendasikan sebagai model pembelajaran yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the industrial internship program implementation in the Industrial Automation Engineering Expertise Program at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Cileungsi. The evaluation was conducted using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model to obtain a comprehensive overview of the suitability of objectives, implementation readiness, internship process, and student outcomes. This study used a mixed-approach with a total sampling technique involving 50 students in grades XI and XII, as well as qualitative informants consisting of supervising teachers, industrial supervisors, and the head of the expertise program. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis using the Miles and Huberman model. The results indicate that the industrial internship implementation has not been fully effective in supporting the development of students' technical competencies. The main problem lies in the mismatch between student placement and Industrial Automation Engineering expertise, resulting in many students not engaging in relevant work activities such as PLC programming, wiring panels, instrumentation, pneumatics, and industrial control systems. Instead, some students are placed in non-technical jobs that do not contribute to the improvement of automation skills. Nevertheless, the internship program still has a positive impact on the development of soft skills such as discipline, communication, and adapting to work culture. The study concluded that internship effectiveness would increase if the placement system were improved through student competency mapping, alignment with industry needs, and expanding partnerships with companies with work units in the automation sector. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas implementasi program magang industri pada Program Keahlian Teknik Otomasi Industri SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Cileungsi. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan model CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) untuk memperoleh gambaran menyeluruh terkait kesesuaian tujuan, kesiapan pelaksanaan, proses magang, serta hasil yang dicapai siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran dengan teknik total sampling yang melibatkan 50 siswa kelas XI dan XII, serta informan kualitatif yang terdiri dari guru pembimbing, pembimbing industri, dan kepala program keahlian. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis kualitatif model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan magang industri belum sepenuhnya efektif dalam mendukung pengembangan kompetensi teknis siswa. Permasalahan utama terletak pada ketidaksesuaian penempatan siswa dengan bidang keahlian Teknik Otomasi Industri, sehingga banyak siswa tidak terlibat dalam aktivitas kerja yang relevan seperti pemrograman PLC, wiring panel, instrumentasi, pneumatik, dan sistem kontrol industri. Sebaliknya, sebagian siswa ditempatkan pada pekerjaan non-teknis yang tidak berkontribusi pada peningkatan keterampilan otomasi. Meskipun demikian, program magang masih memberikan dampak positif pada pengembangan soft skills seperti kedisiplinan, komunikasi, dan adaptasi budaya kerja. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa efektivitas magang akan meningkat apabila sistem penempatan diperbaiki melalui pemetaan kompetensi siswa, penyelarasan kebutuhan industri, serta perluasan kemitraan dengan perusahaan yang memiliki unit kerja sesuai bidang otomasi.

Abstract

Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD) is a behavioral disturbance that arises from excessive online gaming, leading to significant disruptions in academic, social, emotional, and health functioning. This article aims to review IGD through a literature review by examining national and international studies related to its definition, high-risk game genres—particularly MOBA, FPS, and MMORPG—and the psychological, social, and financial impacts experienced by players. The findings indicate that IGD is influenced by internal factors such as loneliness, escapism, and low self-control, as well as external factors including maladaptive parenting patterns and peer pressure. Beyond diminishing overall quality of life, IGD also drives impulsive purchases of virtual goods, time distortion, social withdrawal, and physical health issues. Modern game mechanisms such as loot boxes, randomized rewards, and daily quests have been shown to reinforce addictive behaviors through variable reinforcement patterns. Effective interventions include self-management strategies, social support, active parental involvement, and psychological treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Overall, IGD is not merely a matter of excessive playtime but a reflection of unmet psychological needs and maladaptive coping strategies that require comprehensive intervention. ABSTRAK Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD) merupakan gangguan perilaku yang muncul akibat penggunaan game online secara berlebihan sehingga mengganggu fungsi akademik, sosial, emosional, dan kesehatan individu. Artikel ini bertujuan mengulas IGD melalui literature review dengan menelaah penelitian nasional dan internasional terkait definisi, jenis permainan pemicu kecanduan—terutama MOBA, FPS, dan MMORPG—serta dampak psikologis, sosial, dan finansial yang dialami pemain. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa IGD dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal seperti kesepian, kebutuhan eskapisme, dan rendahnya kontrol diri, serta faktor eksternal berupa pola asuh yang tidak adaptif dan tekanan teman sebaya. Selain menurunkan kualitas hidup, IGD juga mendorong perilaku konsumtif terhadap virtual goods, distorsi waktu, penarikan diri secara sosial, dan gangguan kesehatan fisik. Mekanisme permainan modern seperti loot boxes, reward acak, dan daily quests terbukti memperkuat perilaku adiktif melalui pola penguatan variabel. Intervensi yang efektif meliputi manajemen diri, dukungan sosial, peran aktif orang tua, serta terapi psikologis seperti Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Secara keseluruhan, IGD bukan hanya persoalan durasi bermain, tetapi refleksi dari kebutuhan psikologis yang tidak terpenuhi dan strategi koping maladaptif yang memerlukan penanganan komprehensif.

Abstract

This study analyzes the revenue sources and alternative income generation at British School Jakarta (BSJ) for the fiscal years 2023 and 2024. The background of this research is the growing need for financial sustainability in educational institutions, which often rely heavily on tuition fees. The focus of the study is on revenue diversification and alternative income streams to support the school’s operational and developmental activities. The research employed a library research method, with data collected from BSJ’s annual financial reports for 2023 and 2024. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to identify the main and alternative sources of revenue. The research results show that BSJ's revenue sources come from education fees, capital contribution fees, interest income, and other income. Based on the school's annual financial report, BSJ experienced a financial surplus of 43.7 billion in 2023 and a financial surplus of 48.1 billion in 2024. This figure was influenced by the increase in the number of students to 1,412, or 2% more than the previous year. BSJ's alternative income consists of interest income and other income. BSJ's alternative income also contributed to BSJ's financial surplus because investment income increased 50% more than the previous year. This study provides insight into the importance of income diversification as an effort to maintain school sustainability. Revenue diversification has been implemented by the British School Jakarta through deposits and bonds. This opens new insight that investing school capital is permissible as long as it does not disrupt the school's operational funds. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini menganalisis tentang sumber pendapatan dan alternatif pendapatan di British School Jakarta (BSJ) pada tahun 2023 dan 2024. Fokus kajian meliputi diversifikasi pendapatan dan alternatif pendapatan pada BSJ. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kepustakaan, teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Data diolah dari laporan keuangan tahunan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sumber pendapatan BSJ berasal dari biaya pendidikan, kontribusi iuran modal, pendapatan bunga, dan pendapatan lain-lain. Berdasarkan laporan keuangan tahunan sekolah, BSJ mengalami surplus keuangan sebesar 43,7 miliar pada 2023 dan surplus keuangan sebesar 48,1 miliar pada 2024. Nominal tersebut dipengaruhi oleh kenaikan jumlah siswa menjadi 1.412 atau 2% lebih banyak dari tahun sebelumnya. Alternatif pendapatan BSJ terdiri dari pendapatan bunga dan pendapatan lain-lain. Alternatif pendapatan BSJ juga turut berkontribusi pada surplus keuangan BSJ pasalnya pendapatan investasi meningkat 50% lebih banyak dari tahun sebelumnya. Studi ini membuka wawasan bahwa diversifikasi pendapatan sebagai upaya menjaga keberlanjutan sekolah penting dilakukan. Diversifikasi pendapatan sudah diterapkan oleh British School Jakarta melalui deposito dan obligasi. Hal ini membuka wawasan baru bahwa menginvestasikan modal sekolah diperbolehkan asalkan tidak mengganggu dana operasional sekolah.
