Abstract

Psychological is defined as a condition that exists within a person that can affect the attitudes and behavior of that individual, medical students are more vulnerable to psychological problems due to the difficult educational process and the mismatch between reality and expectations. The process causes medical students to face various kinds of stressors such as a large academic load , time pressure , adjustment to the campus environment and relationships with peers. Dhikr is a mental state in which a person remembers Allah. The dhikr method can also be applied to the learning of the medical profession. The relationship between psychological conditions and religion , such as the relationship between religion as a belief and mental health , depends on how a person submits himself to the Most High. Positive feelings such as happiness , joy , contentment , or security will arise due to a similar nature of surrender.

Abstract

Healing of perineal wounds is influenced by several factors including culture of abstinence, nutrition, age, infrastructure, medicines, heredity. In this case, the culture of abstinence during the postpartum period is still being practiced, post- partum mothers who abstain from eating will avoid consuming fishy-smelling pro- teins such as: meat, eggs, fish, shrimp, crab, squid. So, in postpartum mothers who abstain from eating, the speed of healing of perineal wounds tends to be slow, and can cause infection during the postpartum period. The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between food abstinence and the length of healing of perineal wounds in postpartum mothers in the Totokaton non-inpatient health cen- ter UPTD working area. This research uses a cross sectional design, the sampling technique uses incidental sampling. The research subjects were postpartum mothers on the 7th day who experienced second degree perineal rupture in the Totokaton Non-Inpatient Health Center UPTD working area. Data collection used a questionnaire. Research analysis used the Pearson Chi Square statistical test. The research was conducted in August 2024. The research results showed that of the 46 respondents, 30 postpartum mothers (65.5%) who abstained from food experienced slow healing of perineal wounds. After carrying out the chi square test, the result was p = 0.048, meaning a relationship between food abstinence and perineal wound healing. It is hoped that postpartum mothers will consume better nutrition by not abstaining from food, the better the perineal wound healing will be.

Abstract

Menstruation is a natural biological process that occurs in females during their reproductive years. However, many young girls lack adequate knowledge about menstruation, leading to fear and misconceptions. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of health education through video on improving knowledge about menstruation among elementary school students. A pre-experimental one-group pre-test post-test design with proportional random sampling was employed. The study involved 38 female students from SD Negeri 2 and SD Negeri 4 Penebel in April 2024. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The Shapiro-Wilk test was used to assess normality due to the small sample size (n<50). The p-value (p>0.05) indicated normal distribution of the knowledge scores. The mean score before health education was 58.68. The mean scores for posttest week 1 and week 2 were 82.89 and 87.24, respectively. Statistical analysis revealed a significant difference in knowledge scores (p=0.000), demonstrating the effectiveness of the health education intervention. The study highlights the importance of health education in improving knowledge about menstruation among elementary school students. Schools should incorporate menstruation education into their curriculum to empower girls with accurate information and dispel misconceptions.

Abstract

The conventional patient registration system has evolved into an online platform utilizing information technology. However, the use of online registration systems still faces issues that affect patient satisfaction. Bangli General Hospital has implemented an Online Registration System (SIDOLI), but patient satisfaction with this system has not yet been evaluated. This study aims to determine the relationship between the quality of the online registration system and the satisfaction level of outpatient patients at Bangli General Hospital. This study uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The research was conducted in April 2024 with a sample of 70 outpatients using the SIDOLI online registration system, determined through purposive sampling techniques. The results of the study show that 55.7% of respondents rated the quality of SIDOLI as good, 32.9% as adequate, and 11.4% as poor. The patient satisfaction level showed that 55.7% were satisfied, and 32.9% were dissatisfied. The chi-square test results indicate a significant relationship between the quality of the SIDOLI online system and outpatient satisfaction at Bangli General Hospital (p = 0.05), with a weak correlation (r = 0.279). Improving the quality of the online registration system tends to increase patient satisfaction, although this increase is relatively weak. The results of the study provide comprehensive insights into the development and evaluation of online systems in healthcare services.

Abstract

Background: Infectious diseases, particularly viral infections, represent a major global health concern, with significant implications for oral health. Despite their clinical relevance, oral manifestations of viral infections are often underdiagnosed due to their complex and varied presentations. Early recognition of these manifestations can aid in timely diagnosis and management, improving overall patient outcomes. Objective: This study aims to systematically review the oral manifestations associated with viral infections to provide a comprehensive reference for healthcare professionals in diagnosing and managing such conditions. Methods: A systematic review was conducted using five databases, including PubMed and Scopus, to identify relevant studies published between 2014 and 2024. Keywords such as "oral manifestation" and "viral infection" were used. Eligible studies were selected based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, focusing on articles in English with clinical relevance to oral health. Data were extracted independently by multiple authors and analyzed to identify patterns and significant findings regarding oral manifestations of viral infections. Results: The review identified 133 articles, with 24 studies meeting the inclusion criteria. Key findings revealed that human herpesviruses, including HSV-1, HSV-2, VZV, EBV, CMV, HHV-6, HHV-7, and HHV-8, frequently present with distinct oral lesions. These lesions range from vesicles and ulcers to gingival overgrowth and vascular tumors. The study highlights the diagnostic importance of oral findings, particularly in immunocompromised patients. Conclusion: Oral manifestations are critical diagnostic indicators of viral infections and provide an opportunity for early disease recognition. A thorough understanding of these manifestations can enhance clinical diagnosis, reduce healthcare costs, and improve patient outcomes. Future research should focus on developing diagnostic algorithms incorporating oral and systemic findings for better clinical utility.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify risk factors and clinical issues faced by patients, and to evaluate the implementation of family doctor services based on evidence-based medicine with a patient-centered, family-based, and community-oriented approach to improve care quality. This study used a case report design with a holistic approach to analyze the patient’s clinical condition and the role of family and environmental factors in recovery. Data collection included autoanamnesis (interviews with the patient), alloanamnesis (interviews with family members), physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and home visits. Data analysis combined qualitative methods to explore the context of health issues and family dynamics, with quantitative analysis to support findings from diagnostic tests. The approach aims to provide effective interventions for both the patient and their family, improving overall health quality. The research findings the mastitis experienced by the patient is closely linked to the patient's hygiene practices and personal habits, such as bathing every two days and frequently scratching areas around the breast folds. Additionally, a significant risk factor contributing to the condition is the frequent use of bras that do not fit properly. These factors combined have likely contributed to the development of mastitis. Furthermore, increasing the knowledge of the family members as a support system for the patient plays a crucial role in preventing the recurrence of the disease. When family members understand the patient's condition and necessary care measures, they can better assist in managing the illness and minimizing the risks.

Abstract

Cognitive problems, which include disturbances in the processes of thinking, learning, and memory, can be a serious obstacle to a child's development. This condition can affect various aspects of a child's life, including academic achievement. Cognitive problems cause difficulties in learning and understanding information and can hinder academic achievement and make it difficult for individuals to participate in formal education. Indirectly, this is caused by a lack of nutritional knowledge. Efforts to increase knowledge can be carried out by implementing a local food-based nutrition literacy program which is carried out by providing interventional counseling, accompanied by recommendations for local food menus and discussions on local food menus so that it can increase nutritional knowledge of parents and mothers. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of local food-based nutritional literacy on increasing parental knowledge in supporting children's cognitive growth. This type of research is a pre-experiment design, one group pre test-post test. The population was 30 toddlers aged 7-12 months who experienced stunting during the October period in Puuk village, Samudra subdistrict, and a sample of 30 people. The sampling technique used total random sampling. Knowledge data was obtained using a questionnaire. The results of this research showed that from 30 samples the average knowledge score about nutrition was 6.2 and after providing nutritional literacy the score was 11.2. The conclusion of this research is that local food-based nutritional literacy can improve maternal nutritional cognition (knowledge).
