Abstract

Custom is an unwritten legal system implemented by indigenous communities, such as the Tolaki community in Sambeani Village, Southeast Sulawesi. Tolaki customary law protects social and cultural values in addition to resolving disputes. However, during the era of modernization and the increasingly strong dominance of national law, the existence and implementation of customary law began to experience difficulties. This study is crucial for understanding how Tolaki customary law is still applied and how it impacts the community's social life. This research aims to explain how Tolaki customary law is implemented in Sambeani Village, analyze its function and role in conflict resolution, and evaluate its impact on the social structure and customs of the local community. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a legal ethnography approach. Data collection was carried out through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with traditional leaders, village officials and community members as well as documents related to Tolaki customary law. Local policy recommendations for preserving and strengthening the role of customary law in resolving conflicts at the village level and (3) Digital documentation in the form of narratives and visualizations of Tolaki customary law practices as a form of preserving local culture. The results of this study on the Tolaki customary law tradition in Sambeani Village, Abuki District, Konawe Regency show that customary law still plays an important role in regulating the social life of the local community. Customary law is not only considered as a rule that is held traditionally, but is also considered as a value system that binds, shapes behavior, and maintains harmonious social relations between citizens. The implementation of customary law based on deliberation, mutual cooperation, and respect for traditional figures shows that collective values are still highly valued by the community.

Abstract

Curriculum implementation in schools is a complex process that requires a systematic approach to ensure that educational goals are effectively achieved. One crucial aspect of this process is monitoring and supervision, which serve as oversight and support mechanisms for teachers and school staff. Monitoring involves continuous observation and data collection on curriculum implementation, while supervision focuses on providing guidance and evaluation to teachers to improve the quality of their teaching. This article examines various effective monitoring and supervision methods, including classroom observations, surveys and questionnaires, as well as clinical supervision and peer review. This analysis demonstrates that systematic monitoring can help identify weaknesses and problems in curriculum implementation early, enabling schools to take timely corrective action. Furthermore, supervision that focuses on teachers' professional development can enhance their teaching skills and motivation, which in turn contributes to improving the quality of learning for students. This article also identifies key challenges in implementing monitoring and supervision, such as resource constraints and resistance to change. By presenting case studies and best practices from various schools, this article offers practical recommendations for overcoming these challenges and improving the effectiveness of monitoring and supervision.

Abstract

The retail industry in Indonesia has undergone a significant transformation, triggered by the penetration of the internet and social media, which have changed consumer behavior. This study aims to analyze how social media and service quality affect customer satisfaction and loyalty at PT. Katiga Ritel Strengindo (K3 Mart) Medan. This study examines the relationship between social media marketing activities, service quality, customer satisfaction, and loyalty using a quantitative approach with a sample of 83 K3 Mart Medan consumers. Data were obtained through a survey and then analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The results show that social media has a positive effect on customer satisfaction and loyalty, with satisfaction acting as a mediator that strengthens the relationship between social media and loyalty. In addition, service quality has a significant effect on customer satisfaction and loyalty, with satisfaction also acting as a mediator. This study provides a theoretical contribution to enriching the literature on the relationship between social media, service quality, satisfaction, and customer loyalty in the modern retail sector, particularly in the context of lifestyle marts in Indonesia. Practically, the results of this study provide recommendations for K3 Mart management to increase interaction on social media, improve service quality, and improve the physical aspects of the store in order to continuously increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the impact of Conventional Financing and Green Financing on corporate capital structure, measured by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), for firms in Aceh Province. Employing a quantitative comparative method on corporate financial statement data spanning the 2021-2024 period, the research found that the limited access to green financing and the smaller scale of green-funded projects in Aceh suggest constraints in the green market. Nevertheless, a comparative analysis reveals a significant difference between the influence of conventional financing and green financing on the capital structure in Aceh Province. Empirically, Green Financing positively impacts the strengthening of the firm's capital structure, positioning it as a strategic alternative toward sustainable economic development in Aceh. This conclusion underscores the critical role of Green Financing as a unique strategic financial determinant, providing practical implications for corporate management in Aceh to integrate sustainability aspects into funding decisions to achieve long-term capital structure optimization.

Abstract

Solid infectious waste management is a crucial aspect of environmental and public health in healthcare facilities. This study aimed to analyze the solid infectious waste management practices at a public hospital in Central Kalimantan based on the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry (PermenLHK No. P.56/MenLHK-Setjen/2015). This study used a qualitative descriptive approach, including observations, interviews, and document review. Results indicated compliance in segregation, separation, and treatment, while temporary storage was non-compliant, as waste was placed directly in the incinerator area instead of the designated Hazardous Waste Temporary Storage (TPS Limbah B3) which potentially poses environmental risks. Waste generation increased annually, averaging 0.4–0.8 kg/bed/day. It is recommended that the hospital optimize temporary storage, enhance staff capacity through training, and conduct regular waste monitoring to ensure effective and sustainable treatment planning.

Abstract

This study analyzes the internal and external conditions of PT Kirana Megatara Tbk (KMG) to develop strategic recommendations for its sustainable development. Using a qualitative approach, the study draws on secondary data from company reports, industry publications, and related sources. Analytical tools including SWOT, PESTLE, and Porter’s Five Forces are applied to assess competitive dynamics. Document analysis—covering financial and sustainability reports as well as strategic presentations—forms the basis of the data collection. Strategic prioritization matrices are used to formulate actionable recommendations. The findings reveal that KMG holds a leading position in Indonesia’s crumb rubber industry, supported by strong production capacity, solid 2024 financials ,and a clear commitment to ESG principles. However, challenges persist, including declining sales volumes, reliance on volatile global prices, low productivity among smallholders ,and operational complexity. Opportunities arise from increasing demand for sustainable (EUDR-compliant) rubber , market growth in China and India, and productivity gains via farmer partnerships and innovation. External threats include economic uncertainty, input competition, crop diseases, synthetic rubber substitution, and land-use shifts. The study contributes directly to KMG by offering a structured, evidence-based strategic roadmap to enhance competitiveness, resilience, and sustainability. The recommendations provide practical guidance for strengthening the value chain , meeting international standards , and expanding into high-potential markets. More broadly, the study contributes to strategic management literature by presenting an adaptive framework relevant for commodity-based firms facing sustainability regulations such as the EUDR and standards like FSC —culminating in strategic directions for short-, medium-, and long-term horizons.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of training on employee performance at Perumda Tirtanadi, a regional-owned company engaged in public water services in North Sumatra. The research applies a quantitative associative approach to examine the influence of four key dimensions of training training needs assessment, training design, training delivery style, and training evaluation on employee performance. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees across several divisions of Perumda Tirtanadi and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results show that training has a significant positive effect on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. Each dimension of training contributes differently, with training design and training evaluation showing the strongest influence. These findings indicate that a systematic and well-evaluated training program can enhance employees’ competence, productivity, and service quality. The study emphasizes the importance of continuous human resource development and provides practical recommendations for improving the effectiveness of training programs within public sector organizations.
