Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the potential of eco-enzyme (EE) derived from horticultural waste as an antifungal agent against Candida albicans, a major pathogen responsible for infections in both humans and plants. Eco-enzyme is a product of fermentation that involves using organic waste, such as fruit and vegetable peels, which are often discarded and contribute to environmental pollution. In this research, eco-enzyme was prepared using a variety of horticultural waste, including pineapple, orange, papaya, and mango peels. The eco-enzyme was then tested at various concentrations (1:0, 1:10, 1:50, and 1:100) to assess its antifungal activity against Candida albicans using the in-vitro disk diffusion method. The results indicated that eco-enzyme, particularly at the 1:50 dilution, demonstrated significant antifungal activity, with a clear inhibition zone observed around the disc. The presence of bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, and saponins in the eco-enzyme is believed to be responsible for its ability to inhibit fungal growth by disrupting the cell membrane structure and metabolic functions of the pathogen. These findings suggest that eco-enzyme can serve as an effective natural alternative to conventional chemical antifungal agents, offering a more sustainable and eco-friendly solution for managing fungal infections. Furthermore, this study emphasizes the importance of utilizing agricultural waste for eco-enzyme production, providing an innovative way to address the global challenge of organic waste disposal while promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on the benefits of eco-enzyme in both agricultural and public health applications, offering promising possibilities for its wider use in fungal disease management

Abstract

The development of the Smart Society 5.0 era requires learning innovations that are able to integrate information and communication technology (ICT) into the educational process effectively and ethically. This study aims to analyze the potential and relevance of interactive multimedia flowcharts assisted by AI Chatbots in improving students' self-regulated learning (SRL) skills. This paper uses an analytical literature review approach with two main focuses: (1) defining the concept of interactive multimedia flowcharts assisted by AI chatbots, and (2) examining its influence on students' SRL skills. Data was obtained from various credible scientific sources such as Springer, Taylor & Francis, MDPI, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar. The results of the study show that interactive flowcharts function as visual tools that help students formulate their thoughts systematically, while AI chatbots act as learning partners that provide personalized and real-time feedback. The combination of the two results in an interactive learning environment that can stimulate student planning, supervision, and self-reflection as the core of the SRL process. Conceptually, the synergy between interactive multimedia design and artificial intelligence is able to strengthen the cognitive, metacognitive, and motivational dimensions of students. Thus, this innovation has the potential to become a digital learning model that supports the development of learning independence, critical thinking, and lifelong learning in the context of higher education in the digital era.

Abstract

Digital transformation has driven fundamental changes in Indonesia’s telecommunications industry, where perceived product quality and the effectiveness of customer service are key factors in sustaining customer loyalty and advocacy. This study analyzes the relationship between perceptions of product quality and Call Center service on customers’ recommendation intention using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The literature search strategy employed combinations of Boolean keywords across Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar for the 2020–2025 period, yielding 19 articles that met the inclusion criteria. The analysis shows that perceived product quality and service quality are primary determinants influencing satisfaction, trust, and loyalty, which in turn lead to recommendation intention. The reliability, responsiveness, and assurance dimensions of call center services strengthen customers’ perceptions of the company’s professionalism and empathy, while high perceived product quality increases customers’ willingness to recommend the service to others. The study affirms that the synergy between product excellence (network stability and the reliability of product services) and customer service interactions (Call Center) plays a significant role in shaping a holistic customer experience. Practically, these findings offer strategic implications for telecommunication industry practitioner to enhance the integration of product and service quality to build sustainable customer advocacy in the digital era. Future research is recommended to develop an integrative model that examines the simultaneous influence of product quality and Call Center service quality on customers’ recommendation intention by incorporating satisfaction, trust, and emotional experience as mediating variables within the context of converged digital services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of prices and products on consumer purchase decisions at Warung Bakso Pakde Suripan, Mukok District, Sanggau Regency. The background of this study is based on the increasing competition in the meatball culinary business in the region, which encourages business actors to optimize their price and product quality strategies. The research method used was an associative quantitative approach with purposive sampling techniques on 100 respondents who had made purchases. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using validity, reliability, multiple linear regression tests, as well as F tests and t tests. The results showed that both price and product had a significant effect simultaneously and partially on purchase decisions, with the product having a dominant influence (β = 0.731; Sig. = 0.000) over price (β = 0.187; Sig. = 0.005). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.728) indicates that 72.8% of the variation in purchasing decisions can be explained by both independent variables. These findings provide strategic implications for the management of local culinary businesses in increasing competitiveness and consumer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of overseas Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on two performance outcomes of Pertamina International EP (PIEP): lifting (Y1) and corporate profit (Y2). Using a quantitative, explanatory design, we compiled 32 observations from four operating areas (Malaysia, Iraq, Algeria, HQ-International) across 2018–2025. CSR is modeled as a latent construct (X) with three reflective indicators CSR_Education, CSR_Environment, and CSR_Overseas while Y1 is measured by lifting_bpd and lifting efficiency, and Y2 by revenue and net profit. Data were analyzed with SEM-PLS (SmartPLS 4). The measurement model meets all thresholds (outer loadings ≥0.70; AVE ≥0.50; CR and Cronbach’s alpha ≥0.70), with particularly strong reliability for CSR (CR=0.986; AVE=0.973) and Profit (CR=0.978; AVE=0.978). The structural model shows CSR has a positive and significant effect on both outcomes: CSR → Lifting (β=0.92; t=59.816; p<0.001; R²=0.847; Q²=0.515) and CSR → Profit (β=0.961; t=80.605; p<0.001; R²=0.924; Q²=0.898). Among indicators, CSR_Overseas (λ=0.988) is the strongest signal within the CSR construct; lifting_bpd (λ=0.935) dominates Y1; and revenue and net profit (both λ=0.989) equally anchor Y2. The findings imply that targeted, context-sensitive overseas CSR can simultaneously stabilize operations and strengthen financial outcomes in international upstream oil and gas.

Abstract

Disclosure of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) has increasingly gained attention in modern business practices, particularly for construction companies that have significant social and environmental impacts. In Indonesia, the issuance of POJK 51/2017 by the Financial Services Authority marked an important milestone in requiring public companies, including state-owned construction enterprises (BUMN Karya), to prepare sustainability reports. This study aims to analyze the comparison of ESG disclosure levels before and after the regulation in four BUMN Karya, namely WIKA, ADHI, PTPP, and WSKT. The methodology employed is content analysis of annual reports and sustainability reports for the 2015–2023 period, using 22 ESG indicators covering environmental, social, and governance aspects. The findings reveal a significant increase after the regulation, where ESG scores that initially averaged 5–7 in the 2015–2017 period surged to more than 19 in 2018–2023, with all companies achieving full scores since 2021. The discussion highlights the crucial role of regulation in driving transparency, with the most substantial improvement observed in the environmental aspect, which had previously been neglected. In conclusion, POJK 51/2017 proved effective in strengthening sustainability practices, although variations remain among companies in terms of the speed of achieving disclosure standards.
