Abstract

Today, corporate social responsibility has become a widely recognized phenomenon, as different sentiments arise from various parties. It has been found that corporate social responsibility fosters many benefits, as it can alter a company’s blueprint not only externally but also internally. This research examines whether there is a relationship between employees’ perceptions of corporate social responsibility and affective organizational commitment, with intrinsic motivation, procedural justice, and employee trust mediating this relationship. This study was a quantitative design with 231 respondents participating in an online questionnaire. Respondents were employees from various industries who had worked for at least 1 year at their organizations. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The study found that corporate social responsibility has an indirect effect on affective organizational commitment through intrinsic motivation and employee trust. On the other hand, procedural justice is found to have no mediating relationship with the construct.

Abstract

This study aims to design an automation and timer system for aeroponic pumps in the cultivation of currant tomatoes (Solanum pimpinellifolium) to improve energy efficiency and optimize nutrient delivery. The system was designed using an Arduino Nano microcontroller integrated with the RTC DS3231 module as a pump operational time controller, TDS Meter sensor to monitor dissolved nutrient concentration, and pH Meter sensor to measure nutrient solution acidity level. Testing was conducted for 14 days to evaluate sensor performance in responding to predetermined setpoints. The results showed that the implementation of the timer system resulted in energy savings of 83% compared to the system without a timer, where energy consumption decreased from 11.62 kWh to 1.93 kWh per day. TDS Meter and pH Meter sensors were able to consistently monitor nutrient parameters with values approaching optimal setpoints. The RTC DS3231 module functioned optimally in controlling the pump operational cycle without experiencing time reading errors. The designed system proved effective in improving energy efficiency and maintaining stable plant growth environment conditions, making it suitable for implementation as an automation-based aeroponic system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze international tourist spending patterns in Bali and identify factors influencing these spending levels to support the development of data-driven tourism marketing strategies. The research focuses on comparing tourists from Australia and China, two key tourism markets in Bali. The approach used is quantitative, using multiple regression analysis, the Mann-Whitney test, and the development of a data-driven predictive model. Data was obtained from 200 respondents through online and offline surveys, as well as secondary data from relevant agencies. The results indicate that most tourists fall into the mid-range spending category. Chinese tourists have higher average spending than Australian tourists, despite shorter visit durations, with shopping activities predominating. In contrast, Australian tourists tend to allocate spending on accommodation and food and beverage consumption during longer stays. Furthermore, statistical tests show significant differences in spending by gender, with male tourists spending more than female tourists. Factors such as country of origin, length of stay, accommodation type, and tourist characteristics have been shown to influence spending. This study concludes that a data-driven predictive analytics approach can provide a more comprehensive understanding of tourist behavior and serve as a basis for formulating more effective, segmented tourism marketing strategies oriented toward improving the quality and value of tourist spending.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that criminal sanctions given to perpetrators of corruption do not provide any deterrent effect at all, instead causing the number of corruption cases in Indonesia to increase. So it is necessary to make a new breakthrough in criminal sanctions against corruptors, namely in the form of impoverishment. The formulation of the problem in this research is how are the regulations and concepts of criminal sanctions for impoverishment against corruptors in eradicating criminal acts of corruption in Indonesia? The research method used is normative juridical with a conceptual approach method and a legislative approach. The prevailing laws and regulations, especially the Corruption Law, do not yet contain explicit provisions that regulate impoverishment as a form of criminal punishment. Therefore, legal reform is needed by adding articles on impoverishment in the Corruption Law by grouping them based on the amount of state losses and the proportional distribution of assets. This is done because the Criminal Asset Confiscation Bill does not specifically regulate corruption, but rather several criminal acts. Impoverishment of corruptors is not enough just by confiscating assets from the proceeds of crime, but also needs to include complete confiscation of assets and restrictions on the rights and social dignity of perpetrators of corruption. The impoverishment mechanism for corruptors can be seen in the Criminal Asset Confiscation Bill, namely by confiscating assets without waiting for a criminal verdict, which allows the state to confiscate and take back assets from the proceeds of crime in certain situations such as the perpetrator being a fugitive, deceased, unknown, or unable to be prosecuted.

Abstract

This article examines the independence of the Indonesian National Police in the Indonesian constitutional system by examining the tension between the normative position of the Indonesian National Police as a state apparatus and its structural position directly under the President. This issue is important because Article 30 paragraph (4) of the 1945 Constitution and Law Number 2 of 2002 affirm the Indonesian National Police as a state law enforcement instrument, but in institutional practice, this position is vulnerable to influence by the interests of power. This research uses a normative legal research method with a statutory, conceptual, and case approach. The results of the research indicate that the current institutional construction of the Indonesian National Police contains ambivalence because on the one hand it is in line with the presidential system, but on the other hand it opens up space for political intervention that can affect the functional independence of the Indonesian National Police. This ambivalence is evident in the mechanism for appointing and dismissing the Chief of Police which involves the approval of the DPR and the practice of placing active Indonesian National Police members in civilian positions which was then limited by Constitutional Court Decision Number 114/PUU-XXIII/2025. This article argues that the ideal construction of Polri independence is to maintain Polri under the President with strict limitations on the administrative and general policy domains, redesign the involvement of the DPR from approval to consideration, and emphasize the separation of active Polri members from civilian positions so that Polri remains consistent in functioning as a state instrument, not a tool of power.

Abstract

Adolescents are a vulnerable population due to limited knowledge of reproductive health, which increases the risk of unsafe sexual behavior, HIV/AIDS infection, and drug abuse. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Triad Adolescent Reproductive Health (TRIAD KRR) educational intervention in improving adolescents’ knowledge and attitudes toward reproductive health. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kotarih, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra. The sample consisted of 63 tenth-grade students selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using validated questionnaires measuring knowledge and attitudes before and after the intervention. The intervention was delivered through interactive educational sessions covering sexuality, HIV/AIDS prevention, and drug abuse. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and effect size calculation. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge scores from 28.63 to 29.29 and attitude scores from 58.49 to 59.16 after the intervention (p < 0.05), with a large effect size, indicating the effectiveness of the TRIAD KRR education. This study concludes that TRIAD KRR educational intervention is effective in improving adolescents' knowledge and attitudes and can be used as a promotive and preventive strategy in school-based reproductive health programs.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze psychosocial and organizational factors influencing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance and their implications for Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs) among emergency department healthcare workers at RSIA Artha Mahinrus. This study used a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, in which quantitative data were collected first, followed by qualitative data to deepen the findings. The quantitative sample comprised 16 healthcare workers (4 doctors, 4 nurses, and 8 midwives) using a total sampling approach. Data were analyzed using univariate, bivariate (Fisher's Exact Test), and multivariate (multiple linear regression) analyses. Qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews. The results showed that psychosocial factors (p = 0.030) and organizational factors (p = 0.012) significantly influenced PPE compliance, with organizational factors as the dominant predictor. The findings also revealed the phenomenon of clinical discretion, in which emergencies and time pressure led to intentional noncompliance with PPE protocols. In addition, a paradox was identified: high organizational involvement was associated with noncompliance due to safety complacency and perceived bureaucratic burden. These findings indicate that PPE compliance is not merely adherence to standard procedures but reflects a complex interaction between individual and organizational factors in maintaining patient and worker safety.
