Smara Jantra is a contemporary dance work rooted in local wisdom, reflecting a reinterpretation of Tari Telek, one of the core elements in the mepajar ritual of Desa Adat Legian, Bali. This work emerges as an aesthetic response to contemporary challenges facing the preservation of sacred values in traditional performing arts, which are increasingly confronted by the forces of tourism commodification and shifts in meaning. Tari Telek, traditionally functioning as a spiritual medium and protective symbol, has undergone transformations in function and significance over time. In response, the choreographer seeks to transform these values into a new choreographic form that remains grounded in Balinese philosophical and spiritual foundations. This creative research examines three main aspects: (1) the creative process in formulating and developing the artistic concept; (2) the choreographic form as the result of creation; and (3) the symbolic meanings and reflective messages embodied in the work. The Angripta Sesolahan method serves as the primary approach, consisting of five stages, ngarencana, nuasen, makalin, nelesin, and ngebah, derived from the philosophy of tradition-based creative work in Bali. The outcome is a site-specific performance staged at Pura Agung Legian, offering an integrated experience of space, body, and spirituality. The novelty of this work lies in the integration of the cosmological concept of luwan-teben as the foundation for a transformative aesthetic, as well as the application of a contextual local creation method within the realm of contemporary Balinese performing arts.

In today’s digital era, physics education demands more contextual and technology-integrated approaches to bridge abstract concepts with real-world experiences. This study aims to develop an innovative approach in physics learning by utilizing smartphone sensors to analyze the vertical motion dynamics of an elevator based on Newton’s Laws. The experiment was conducted in a five-story elevator at BRIDA Surakarta using the Phyphox application, which employs the smartphone’s built-in accelerometer and barometer. The modes "acceleration without g" and "elevator" were used to record real-time data of acceleration, velocity, and altitude. Data was collected through ten trials—five upward and five downward motion cycles. The recorded data revealed maximum acceleration values of ±8 m/s², aligning with the typical operational range of elevators (6–10 m/s²), while the altitude change was approximately ±18 meters, corresponding to the actual height of the building. The elevator’s motion was clearly segmented into three phases: initial acceleration, constant velocity, and deceleration. In each phase, passengers experienced distinct physical sensations—from feeling pressed down, to normal, to weightless—which closely correlated with the recorded acceleration data. These findings strongly validate the application of Newton’s Laws in non-inertial systems and the alignment between subjective sensations and quantitative measurements. Beyond reinforcing conceptual understanding through firsthand experience, this approach encourages active student engagement and enables experimentation without reliance on conventional physics laboratories. The study affirms that smartphone-based technologies hold great potential in democratizing access to scientific instrumentation and enhancing the quality of STEM education in a contextual, inclusive, and applicable manner.

Research Aims: This study aims to map the scientific development and analyze the economic impact of halal tourism in Indonesia by conducting a systematic review and bibliometric analysis of scholarly publications from 2019 to 2025. Design/methodology/approach: This research employs a quantitative bibliometric approach integrated with a systematic literature review (SLR). Data were sourced from the Scopus database using the keywords “halal tourism” AND “economic impact”. A total of 26 relevant documents were analyzed using VOSviewer and Biblioshiny to explore publication trends, keyword co-occurrence, author collaboration, citation influence, and thematic clustering. Research Findings: The findings reveal that “halal tourism” is a central theme in the literature, frequently associated with keywords such as “Indonesia,” “sustainability,” and “economic development.” The annual publication growth rate reached 38.31%, with research activity dominated by Indonesian scholars. Two primary thematic clusters were identified: one focused on destination experiences and the other on adaptive capacity and policy analysis. However, empirical investigations into the economic impact of halal tourism remain limited and are often overshadowed by normative or ethical discussions. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study contributes to the academic literature by offering a comprehensive map of research patterns in halal tourism, particularly its economic dimensions. It is one of the first bibliometric studies to focus exclusively on Indonesia, highlighting the intellectual structure, gaps, and opportunities within the field. The results provide valuable insights for future researchers, policymakers, and tourism stakeholders seeking to advance halal tourism as part of Indonesia’s sustainable development agenda.

Local wisdom is a cultural resource rich in aesthetic, social, and spiritual values, as well as serving as a community's collective identity. In the context of tourism, local wisdom has great potential to be developed into tourist theater that not only provides entertainment but also conveys authentic cultural narratives. The urgency of this research stems from the need to develop a tourist theater model capable of empowering local communities as key actors, so that the preservation of traditions can go hand in hand with strengthening the creative economy. This research aims to formulate a tourist theater management model based on local wisdom by involving the community, identifying strategies for maintaining cultural values, and measuring its impact on socio-cultural sustainability. The issues raised include formulating a tourist theater concept based on local values, community empowerment strategies, and indicators of successful cultural preservation in the tourism context. This research uses qualitative ethnographic methods through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis, supported by focus group discussions with artists, traditional leaders, and tourism managers. The results show that tourist theater based on local wisdom is effective in building collective awareness, strengthening cultural identity, and increasing community income. The integration of traditional narrative elements, performance aesthetics, and participatory management is key to the success of this model. The novelty of this research lies in the development of a community-based tourism theater model that combines ethnoaesthetics and community-based tourism theories, resulting in a conceptual and practical framework that can be replicated in various areas with cultural tourism potential in Indonesia.

The purpose of this research is to examine how certain aspects of entrepreneurial marketing (EM) affect the success of MSMEs in the food service industry in Makassar City. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Smart-PLS. The study approach included administering a questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale. One hundred sixty-seven culinary MSMEs were chosen at random for the study. From what we can see, EM has a significant and positive impact on the production, market, inventive, and financial performance of MSMEs in the culinary industry. The analysis's T-statistic and P-value demonstrate that EM boosts performance in producing (O=0.931, T=78.263, P=0.000), selling (O=0.897, T=52.661, P=0.000), coming up with new ideas (O=0.885, T=38.155, P=0.000), and managing money (O=0.622, T=10.792, P=0.000). To be clear, neither market performance nor innovation performance has a statistically significant impact on financial outcomes. Findings suggest that MSMEs in the culinary industry in Makassar City would fare better if they make good use of EM. For these micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to thrive, they must be creative, aggressive, opportunistic, risk-taking, and focused on their customers. To further investigate the potential effects of EM activities on different performance metrics in culinary MSMEs, future studies should gather data from a broader range of locales. Furthermore, it is essential to study how big culinary enterprises use EM and to find out what techniques culinary MSMEs use that work.

Traffic accidents on the Mandalawangi–Pandeglang Highway, particularly on the Km 18–Km 28 segment, have become a serious concern due to the high number of accidents recorded in the 2020–2024 period, with a total of 100 incidents resulting in 186 victims, including 32 deaths, 20 serious injuries, and 134 minor injuries. This study was conducted to evaluate the level of accident vulnerability by applying the Equivalent Accident Number (EAN) method to measure the severity of accidents based on the weight of victims, as well as the Upper Control Limit (BKA) and Upper Control Limit (UCL) methods as statistical limits in identifying blackspot locations. The analysis results show that three road segments, namely Km 18 (EAN=375), Km 19 (EAN=222), and Km 22 (EAN=93), are included in the blackspot category because their EAN values exceed the BKA (110) and UCL (118) thresholds, with dominant causal factors including poor road geometric conditions (sharp bends and steep descents), lack of street lighting, undisciplined driver behavior (such as violating traffic signs and high speeds), and unroadworthy vehicles. Based on these findings, this study recommends a series of corrective actions, including the installation of clearer warning signs and road markings, increased lighting at vulnerable points, improved road geometric design, stricter law enforcement against traffic violations, and safety education campaigns for road users, in order to reduce the number of accidents and create a safer and more sustainable transportation environment in the future.
