Abstract

The manufacture of pineapple leaf fiber decorticator machines has been made in the village of Onan Runggu III, Sipahutar District, North Tapanuli Regency. Machine making aims to help pineapple farmers to overcome the problem of waste and pineapple. The method used starts from feasibility studies, designing machines, collecting and purchasing tools and materials, evaluating results and testing tools. Results obtained by the pineapple leaf fiber decorticator machine 0,12 kg/hour obtained through two stages of grinding namely grinder 1 and grinder 2. The final results obtained from the decorticator machine of pineapple leaf fiber are pineapple leaf fibers that can be used to make raw materials for textile products.

Abstract

The research has been done Influence of Learning Inquiry Training Model to Student Learning Result on Temperature and Heat Material In Class X Semester II at Private High School RK Bintang Timur P.Siantar Sumatera Utara academic year 2016/2017, with the aim to know the result of student learning using Inquiry Training model and conventional learning. The type of research is quasi experiment, and sampling is done by simple random sampling. The population of this study is all students of class X. The instrument used is the test of cognitive learning outcomes and tests students' science process skills. From the data analysis for the experimental class learning results obtained the average pretest 42.00 and postest 78.20. The control class was obtained on average pretest 37,64 and postest 69,75. From the data analysis for experimental science process class skill obtained the average of pretest 36,54 and posttest 71,56. The control class was obtained on average pretest 35.02 and postest 63.89. The result of data analysis using independent sample t test shows that there is influence of instructional model of Inquiry Training on student learning outcomes on the subject matter of temperature and heat.

Abstract

Lokasi kajian berada di kampong Tanjung Mas, Kelantan Utara–Malaysia. Wilayah KelantanUtara dilapisi oleh batuan Sedimen Kuarter yang mana batuan Granit sebagai batuan dasarnya.Sistem pengairan adalah berbentuk jaringan dendritik dengan sungai utama mengalir ke LautCina Selatan. Survey resistivitas geolistrik dilakukan untuk mendeteksi kehadiran intrusi air garamdalam akuifer. Survey resistivitas geolistrik dibuat dengan 4 lintasan. Zona air payau yangmemiliki harga resistivitas kurang dari 7 ohm.m, sangat jelas terlihat pada model inverseresistivitas dengan posisi kedalaman sekitar 22 m. Konsentrasi air payau dalam akuiferbagaimanapun juga berkurang akibat pengaruh bertambahnya jarak dari garis pantai dan jugaberkurangnya jarak dari sungai.

Abstract

West Sumatera is a disaster prone area, especially disasters such as earthquakes, landslides, floods, tsunamis, and volcanoes. The high potential of natural disasters has consequences for the importance of disaster mitigation efforts. School is an effective tool in shaping of mindset and behavior of students. One effort that can be done is integrate the topic of natural disaster into learning, especially physics learning. Integrating physical matter in learning requires material analysis aimed at making disaster topics integrated in accordance with learning topic. The type of this research is descriptive research. The results of the research indicate that an analysis of the relevance of learning material to the topic of integrated disasters needs to be done so that the integration between teaching material and the topic of disasters is carried out in harmony. Almost all physics learning material can be integrated with the topic of disasters that often hit the West Sumatra region. The classification of material on the topic of integrated disasters is classified into fact and metacognitive material.

Abstract

Indonesian nation is renown as a nation that has cultural heritage of high value, one of them is the relics of archaeological sites of Barus Kingdom in Lobu Tua Tapanuli Tengah regency. Have  to be investigated using study early detection of the presence of archaeological sites by based combintion  geoelectric method with geomagnetic which aims to determine the presence of the sites in Lobu Tua based combination  geoelectric method with geomagnetic. Date processing is done by geoelectric research area is dominated by alluvium rock with the resistivity 55,3 – 705 at depth 6 m - 30 m and tuff with the resistivity 2600 – 4601 at depth 1,25 m - 6 m and andesite rocks with the resistivity 500 – 2300. Qualitatively, the result shows there are magnetic anomalies part with high value is -90 nT, susceptibility value ranged between 0,714 – 0,994 interpreted with sand  and susceptibility value ranged between 1,008 - 1,261 interpreted with alluvium rocks. So the research area of archaeological sites in the city of Barus dominated by alluvium rock. Where from Of both methods Can be interpreted rock archaeological sites in the city of Barus with alluvium rocks.

Abstract

The purpose of this research has described learning result of physics science skill process byapplying kontextual learning. The subject of this research is 25 students of SMAN 1 PangkalanLesung. Data is collected by giving the applicative process test after finishing the subject. Dataanalysis showed that abortive power is with good category, learning effectiveness can becaregorized in effective, but completeness of students learns is not complete. So, the kontextuallearning is clafified effective for science process skill achievment of second year students at SMAN1 Pangkalan Lesung.

Abstract

The learning process of physics at school, the topics is sometime less relatedto the existing dailylife phenomenon.This condition causes low improvement of students' cognitive learning result. In this case, it was a necessary to apply a learning model to improve student learning result by applying phenomenon based learning model (PhenoBL). Quasi experiment in the form of nonequivalent control group design as the model of the research. The instrument to collect data used test of student cognitive at pretest and posttest, respectively. The Data was analyzed by descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of descriptive analysis show the average absorption rate of experiment class is 71.05% and control class is 63.33% which both classes are in a good category. In the paired sample t-test results stated an increasing of students cognitive learning outcomes from pretest to posttest. This can also be seen from the inferential analysis in that means there was a significant differences between experimental class and kontrol class. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of PhenoBL model can improve student learning outcomes of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru on optical material.

Abstract

Ground Penetrating radar (GPR) is a geophysical method that uses electromagnetic wavepropogation and has a high resolution towards dielectric contrast in rocks. In this paper, the method is radarreflection profiling and data prosessing by using software Reflex W Test Version. In situ measurement ofelectromagnetic was carried out by georadar method using Ramac GPR at frequency of 200 MHz in side oftunnel. The result of the measurement indicate there are many joint in the concrete of tunnel wall it trademark carbonate calsite in the stone.Key words: joint, GPR, tunnel

Abstract

This study aimed to determine differences motivation and interest in learning science physics studentsthrough the application of cooperative learning Examples Non Examples model with conventional learningon the subject matter of optical instruments in class VIII SMPN 1 Tambang. The study used a randomizedcontrol-group pretest-posttest. Sampling techniques to test the homogeneity of the population and the sampleis class VIII2 experiment class and control class VIII3. Data collection instrument was a questionnaire ARCSmotivation and interest. Data motivation and interest in learning science physics students were analyzed bydescriptive and inferential. The results obtained by the analysis of motivation and interest in learning sciencephysics students the same for both classes. While the results obtained inferential analysis that the researchhypothesis is rejected, so that there is no significant difference in the motivation and interest of studentsstudying the physics sciences through the application of cooperative learning model Examples Non-Exampleswith conventional learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the student learning outcomes and student learning activities that use Cooperative Type Group Investigation model and conventional learning. The type of research is quasi experiment, and the sampling is done by simple random sampling. The instrument used is the cognitive learning outcomes test. From the data analysis for the experimental class learning outcomes, it results in an average of  pretest 46,667 and posttest 73,714. The control class results in an  average of  pretest 40,381 and posttest 60,761. The result of data analysis using t-one test, when the result of t test is thitung = 4,056 while ttabel = 1,668, thitung> ttabel. Because then there is a significant difference, this shows there is the influence of the use of cooperative learning model of type group investigation of toward student learning outcomes content Work and Energy in class X Semester II SMA Negeri 12 Medan T.P 2016/2017.
