Abstract

Product quality is an important factor that affects the level of development and progress of a company. Companies that operate without paying attention to the quality of their products are tantamount to losing hope for the future of the company. The resulting product must always be checked for compliance with the established standards, so that the damage that occurs to the product can be reduced and eliminated. This study aims to analyze the quality control of raw materials using the seven tools method on sweet bread products at UD. Sarigut Bakery Banda Aceh. This research data is primary data obtained by researchers from questions posed to original sources and also observations of researchers at the location directly. The results of the study found that the quality control of raw and supporting materials was not good enough because the company was not able to maintain the quality standards and brands of materials set by using non-standard materials with lower quality levels. As for the feasibility of the storage warehouse, the control is quite good because the arrangement and placement of materials is orderly and the cleanliness of the warehouse and factory is quite well maintained. Disability caused by working hours is R² = 0.1336 or 13.36%. Defects due to long storage of raw materials are R² = 0.7254 or 72.54%. Meanwhile, defects due to the use of non-standard wheat flour raw materials are R² = 0.8621 or 86.21%. Non-standard raw materials are the biggest factor in causing product defects, this is caused by the condition of substitute materials that are not up to standard, which results in high water content in bread. Keywords: Quality control of raw materials, seven tools, sweet bread

Abstract

Instrument is an important element in research, including in educational research. In measuring learning environment formed in a teaching process, discrete variables need to be involved. Thence, understanding that teaching-learning process has varied pedagogical outcome(s), teachers and instructors can focus on their teaching orientation—learner-centeredness, knowledge-centeredness, or assessment-centeredness—and can avoid zoning-out of context during teaching with these factorial discrete variables. There are 15 factors determining the centeredness propensity in a research instrument developed based on Bransfrod et al. (2001). This study aims to simplify and reduce these factors to obtain dominant factors that influence the centeredness in a learning environment by using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The study was conducted by collecting data through questionnaires to 10 respondents. Finally, 5 major factors were obtained. The main factor has an Eigenvalue of 3.95 with a variance of 26.38%. The second factor has an Eigenvalue of 3.51 with a variance of 23.43%. The third factor has an Eigenvalue of 2.46 with a variance of 16.44%. The fourth factor has an Eigenvalue of 1.95 with a variance of 12.99%. The fifth factor has an Eigenvalue of 1.10 with a variance of 7.37%. The overall factor gives a cumulative diversity proportion of 86.64%. Keywords: Construct validity, Assessment, Eigenvalue, and Principal Component Analysis.

Business organizations must confront worldwide issues when they transition to the knowledge-based economy era, particularly the employment of knowledge-based information technology. For corporate organizations, knowledge management is a source of competitive advantage. This research used aimed to investigate how dynamic capabilities and knowledge management as one of the strategic management ideas contribute to the overall performance of a corporate organization. The data were facts and expert opinions collected from credible national and international sources. The relationships between studies and prior research pertinent to the evolution of strategic management, knowledge management, challenges and problems, and their impact on the performance of business organizations were analyzed. The results showed that investment in human resources is necessary to implement knowledge management as a source of competitive advantage for commercial companies. Knowledge must be managed through an information system in order to be created, transferred, and shared within the company. Business organizations can implement organizational learning through knowledge management. Additionally, organizations need dynamic capabilities to maintain a competitive edge. These skills, routines, and processes are seen as internal to a corporate organization and allow it to adapt to its environment while making the most use of its resources. This study also demonstrated how information management and dynamic circumstances are crucial for enhancing the effectiveness of corporate organizations. Keywords: Knowledge Management, Business Organization, Dynamic Competitive Advantage

Abstract

The phenomenon of demonstrations carried out by students is no longer an unusual thing but has become a habit. Social problems in the name of society make students the vanguard to protect, but not a few of them carry out anarchist actions. This requires prevention by means of an educational approach that not only emphasizes the teaching dimension alone, but also on the human and educational dimensions that have character. This study aims to analyze the causes of student anarchism during demonstrations and to analyze character-based education applied at UIN Walisongo in preventing anarchism during demonstrations. The case study in this research is the prevention of anarchist demonstrations at UIN Walisongo Semarang based on character education. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with several informants including the head of the Central Java Police Mobile Brigade Unit, Lecturer at UIN Walisongo State Islamic University and the Community. The results of this study prove that the main cause of demonstrations turning into anarchy according to the interview results is because the masses are provoked. Another factor was due to the unsatisfactory handling and not being allowed to enter for discussions so that it could be said to have violated the demonstrators' human rights. Character-based education that must be implemented includes concepts in introducing and explaining to students about values issues, making judgments on facts, social behavior approaches to assessing; measuring good character, cognitive approach and affective approach. The research implication lies in minimizing the factors that cause student anarchism and including character education as a university subject, for example in civics education courses. Keywords: Demonstration, Prevention of Anarchy, Character Education.

Abstract

Antibacterial is a compound that can be used for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria. Traditionally Binahong plants (Anredera cordifolia) are plants known to the public to handle various diseases. Binahong leaf that has antibacterial natural compounds such as oleanolic acid, ursolic acid and apigenin. This study aims to examine the antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of binahong leaves against staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This research is using experimental method. Leaves binahong obtained from Sawang Aceh Utara. The maceration stage is done by using ethanol 96% for 3 days and then in doing phytochemical test to find out secondary metabolic content. Antibacterial testing using discs. The results of phytochemical tests found secondary metabolic compounds class of alkaloids, polyphenols, saponins, quinones, and triterpenoids. Antibacterial test using 25%, 50%, 75% concentration, negative control (Aquadest), and Positive control (Amoxicillin) obtained the results are 6mm, 6mm, 6.67mm, 0mm, 30,67 mm. Based on the research of ethanol extract of binahong leaf has an inhibitory power to the growth of Staphylococcus Aureus bacteria at 75% concentration. At concentrations of 25% and 50% there was no inhibition zone of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria growth. Keywords: Ektrak Etanol, Antibacterial, Daun Binahong, Staphylococcus Aureus
