E-CHIEF JOURNAL (Early Childhood and Family Parenting Journal) is a journal that was started publishing on May 2021 at the Early childhood Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Focus and Scope of journal is research study and analysis related to Early Childhood Education. The article will publish in English, every manuscript sent to the editorial office of the journal ought to follow the writing guidelines. If the manuscript does not meet with the author guidelines or any manuscript written in different format, the article will be rejected before further review. Only submitted manuscripts that meet the journals format will be processed further. E-CHIEF journal published twice a year, in May and November. Abstract

The purpose of this research is developing children’s fine motor skills in cutting according to patterns through the DONAT model (Direct instructiON and media Awan pinTar). The approach used is a qualitative approach with the type of Classsroom Action Research which is held in three meetings. The research subjects were the children of group B TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 36 Banjarmasin in the 2022/2023 academic year, which consisted of 18 children. The results showed that the teacher’s activity at the 3rd meeting obtained a score of 27 and reached the Very Good criteria. The activity of the 3rd meeting children obtained a percentage of 94% and reached the criteria for All Active Children. The independence of the 3rd meeting children obtained a percentage 0f 83% and reached the criteria for All Independent Children. The results of the child’s fine motor development obtained a percentage of 83% and reached the Very Good Development criteria.

Abstract

This examination was roused by the low advancement of children's religious and moral values in group A of TK Kasih Ibu Barito Kuala in sequencing ablution worship movements. The cause is a lack of motivation to follow learning; learning is less interesting and fun. The motivation behind this study is to portray educator exercises, analyze the increase in children's activities, learning motivation, and children's development results in reducing the ablution worship movement. The research method is CAR with a qualitative approach, conducted with 3 meetings with a total of 15 children consisting of 9 boys and 6 girls, which was done with group A children of TK Kasih Ibu Barito Kuala. The results of this study show that teacher activities at meetings I to III get criteria good to very good, the children's activities at meetings I to III get criteria active enough to criteria very active, the learning motivation at meetings I to III get criteria moderately motivated to criteria very motivated, and the results of religious and moral values development meetings I to III get criteria Starting to develop criteria to very well developed criteria.

Abstract

The problem in this research is motivated by the low activity and results of the development of language aspects in prounounce English numeral symbols. The causes of the problems are one-way learning, lack of child response and lack of variations in learning models. The solution is to use Pattern Model (Problem based learning model, mAke a match model, and Think, Talk, write and mEdia numbeR box). This study used a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 3 meetings, research settings in group B children at TK Aisyiyah Busthanul Athfal 36 Banjarmasin, totaling 18 children. The data collection technique is observation. Data analysis used descriptive analysis using tables and graphs. The results of this study concluded that the teacher's activities at meetings I and II achieved good criteria and at meeting III achieved very good criteria. The child's activity at meeting I reached the criteria of being inactive, meetings II and III reached the criteria of being very active. Classical completeness of child development results at meeting I reached 11%, meeting II reached 78% and meeting III reached 100%. It is recommended that teachers, school principals and further researchers be able to provide input and information for selecting learning models.

Abstract

The research is motivated by low religious abilities, such as children being less able to express opinions in continuing some prayer movements. This is due to the lack of innovative and interesting learning media to be displayed, the lack of innovation in learning models and methods used, the lack of stimulus given by teachers to children in learning activities, and children being less able to express ideas in continuing some of the prayer movements they have heard. The approach used is a qualitative approach to the type of research, namely classroom action research, which is carried out in two cycles. This research was carried out at Tri Kesuma Pelaihari Kindergarten on group B children, totaling 10 children, consisting of 5 boys and 5 girls. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that using the talking stick model, demonstration method, and drawing media can develop religious abilities in Group B children at Tri Kesuma Kindergarten. It is recommended that the results of this research be used as a reference and consideration in continuing some of the prayer movements that have been carried out.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low cognitive development of number concept children. The solution to this problem is to use the Project visualization model. The purpose of this study is to describe the activity of teachers, analyze children's activities and cognitive development. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is carried out with four meetings. The subjects of the study were group A children of Tunas Muda Kindergarten, the number of children was 13 people. The type of data in this study is qualitative data. The results of this study showed that teacher activities at meeting I got a score of 32, meeting II got a score of 42, meeting III got a score of 48, and meeting IV got a score of 52. Children's activities at meeting I obtained a percentage of 53.84%, meeting II obtained a percentage of 68.50%, meeting III obtained a percentage of 83.17%, and meeting IV obtained a percentage of 94.95%. Cognitive Development of children meeting I obtained a percentage of 75.96%, meeting II obtained a percentage of 82.05%, meeting III obtained a percentage of 89.10%, and meeting IV obtained 96.15%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that teacher activity, child activity, and child development results have successfully increased and developed.

Abstract

The background of this research was the low cognitive abilities of children in recognizing numbers. This problem was caused by a lack of varied media and methods, the use of media tools and learning resources, as well as less engaging teaching strategies by teachers/educators. This study aimed to describe the teacher’s activities, children’s activities, and analyze the learning outcomes of children’s cognitive abilities in recognizing numbers through dice games in Group A of Integrated Early Childhood Education Qathrun Nada Banjarmasin. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles with 6 male and 6 female subjects in Group A of Integrated Early Childhood Education Qathrun Nada Banjarmasin. Data were obtained through observation, documentation, and data analysis. Based on the activities conducted, teacher activities increased from the “Good” category to the “Very Good” category, children’s activities increased from a score of 63% to a score of 100%, and children’s learning outcomes increased from the “Sufficient” category to the “Very Good” category. The research concluded that teacher activities, children’s activities, and children’s ability to recognize numbers increased from Cycle I to Cycle II. The results of this study could be used as a reference for selecting models in introducing numbers in the cognitive aspects of children

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to describe teacher activities, children's skills, and children's developmental outcomes in imitating shapes. This research approach uses qualitative with the type of classroom action research, carried out in 4 meetings, the research setting is on the B1 group of children of Bakti 1 Islamic Kindergarten Banjarmasin which amounted to 14 children (9 boys and 5 girls). The data collection technique uses observation. The results of the study showed that (1) the teacher's activity at the 1st meeting received a score of 20 in the "Good" category and continued to increase until the 4th meeting received a score of 27 in the "Very Good" category. (2) Children's Skills in the 1st meeting got a percentage of 0% in the category "No Skilled Children" and continued to increase until the 4th meeting with a percentage of 100% in the category "All Active Children". (3) The results of the development of the ability to imitate shapes at the 1st meeting were 0% and continued to increase at the 4th meeting the score of 100% all children succeeded in developing in the category of "Developing as Expected (BSH), and Developing Very Well (BSB)". Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that  the Project Based Learning, Explicit Instruction and Media Flanel models can develop skills, and the results of the development of the ability to imitate children's shapes very well and all children are active

Abstract

The problem in this research is the results of the fine motor development of children in group A2. This research approach uses qualitative with the type of classroom action research, carried out in 4 meetings, research setting on 12 children in group A2. Data collection techniques use observation, documentation and interviews. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive techniques which were explained using cross tabulations and graphs which were presented with established indicators of development success. This research aims to describe teacher activities, as well as analyze children's activity, independence and fine motoric aspects. The results of this research show that the teacher's activities reach the very good category, the children's activities reach the very active category, the children's independence reaches the very independent category, and the children's fine motoric aspects reach the very well developed category. It is recommended that school principals, teachers and researchers can then provide input for information to improve children's learning.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low level of children's activity and the underdeveloped cognitive development of children in group A. This research approach uses qualitative research with the type of classroom action research, carried out in 4 meetings, the research setting was with the A2 group of Insan Azkia Kindergarten Banjarmasin, totaling 12 children (8 boys and 4 girls). Data collection techniques use observation, documentation, and interviews as well as data analysis using cross tabulation. The aim of this research is to describe teacher activities and analyze children's activities as well as children's cognitive aspects of their abilities. The results of this research show that teacher activities reach the very good category, children's activities reach the very active category, and children's cognitive aspects reach the very well developed category. It is recommended for future researchers that it can be used as information material, as well as for school principals and teachers, it can be used as input to improve children's learning

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low ability of children to recognize cause and effect, this is due to learning activities using LKPD and the use of models and methods that are less varied and monotonous. This study aims to describe the activities carried out by teacher and analyze children's activities, analyze the results of the development of the ability to recognize cause and effect. The data collection are observation, interview and documentation. The subject used in the study was group B of Khadijah Plus Islamic Kindergarten Banjarmasin. This research was carried out in two cycles and each cycle consisted of three meetings. The results of the study show that using the project based learning model and science experiment methods can improve children's ability to recognize cause and effect, as evidenced by the teacher's activity in the first cycle obtained an average score of 72 with good criteria, children's activities obtained a percentage of 74% of the active criteria, then for the ability to recognize cause and effect obtained a percentage of 72% of the criteria developed as expected. Then in the second cycle, the teacher got an average score of 84 with very good criteria, children's activities obtained a percentage of 98% of the very active criteria, then for the ability to recognize cause and effect obtained a percentage of 100% of the very good development criteria (BSB).
