Abstract

This study aims to develop Smart Box learning media for the Indonesian language subject, specifically on official letter material for Grade VII at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli. The method used in this study is research and development (R&D). The learning media developed uses the 4D model, which consists of four main stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The results of the study show that the learning media developed has undergone a validation process by three experts, namely a material expert, a language expert, and a design expert. The validation results indicate that the material expert gave a score of 75% in the "feasible" category, the language expert gave a score of 64% in the "feasible" category, and the design expert gave a score of 86% in the "very feasible" category. These percentages indicate that the Smart Box learning media that devel. The validation results show that the subject matter expert gave a score of 75% with the category 'feasible,' the language expert gave a score of 64% with the category 'feasible,' and the design expert gave a score of 86% with the category 'very feasible.' These percentages indicate that the Smart Box learning media developed meets the feasibility criteria from the aspects of content, language, and design appearance. The practicality of the Smart Box media received positive responses from the students. The trial results in the group showed a percentage of 91% with the category 'very practical.' This indicates that the media is practical to use in learning activities at school. The effectiveness of the Smart Box media is demonstrated through the learning completeness results of the students, which reached 91% in the field trial.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve students’ learning outcomes through the implementation of the active learning model Everyone Is A Teacher Here on the topic “Achieving Success” in class X1 of SMAN 13 Luwu. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Hopkins model, conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 32 students. Data were collected through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative and qualitative approaches by calculating the mean scores and learning mastery percentages. The findings indicated a significant improvement from Cycle I to Cycle II. In Cycle I, the average score was 68 with 41% learning mastery, while in Cycle II the average increased to 78 with 78% mastery. The implementation of the Everyone Is A Teacher Here model enhanced students’ participation, confidence, and engagement, which positively impacted their learning outcomes. This model proved effective in creating an interactive and participatory Islamic Education learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of profitability, capital structure, and company size on company value with dividend policy as an intervening variable in companies in the Food and Beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020–2024. The study uses a quantitative causal approach with a sample of 18 companies selected through purposive sampling. The data, in the form of annual financial reports, were analysed using multiple linear regression and path analysis to test the direct and indirect effects between variables. Profitability was proxied by Return on Assets, capital structure by Debt to Equity Ratio, company size by the natural logarithm of total assets, dividend policy by Dividend Payout Ratio, and company value by Price to Book Value. The results show that profitability has a significant effect on company value, while capital structure and company size show varying effects. Dividend policy is proven to act as an intervening variable that strengthens the relationship between financial performance and company value. These findings emphasise the importance of financial performance management and dividend policy in increasing company value and investor confidence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of interest rates and exchange rates on stock returns with profitability as an intervening variable in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020–2024. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research type. The research population includes all banking companies listed on the IDX, with purposive sampling techniques resulting in a sample of 27 companies. The data used is secondary data obtained from annual financial reports and related official publications. The data analysis method used path analysis with the help of statistical software to test the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results showed that interest rates did not have a significant effect on profitability, while exchange rates had a significant effect on profitability. Interest rates and exchange rates did not have a significant direct effect on stock returns. Profitability was found to have a significant effect on stock returns. Furthermore, interest rates have a significant effect on stock returns through profitability as an intervening variable, while exchange rates do not show a significant indirect effect through profitability. These findings indicate that profitability plays an important role in bridging the influence of macroeconomic factors on banking stock returns.

Abstract

The transformation towards Outcome-Based Education (OBE) requires an authentic assessment system that is capable of fully representing competency achievements, particularly in Technology and Vocational Education (TVE) which emphasises graduate work readiness. This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of the mixed-method approach in evaluating outcome-based competency assessments that cover cognitive, psychomotor, and soft skills aspects. The study used a convergent parallel mixed-method design with simultaneous quantitative and qualitative data collection. Quantitative data were obtained from 139 Year 12 Software Engineering students at a vocational school in Mandailing Natal Regency using an outcome-based assessment rubric with 30 indicators that had met construct validity and reliability. Qualitative data were collected through interviews with 21 participants consisting of students, teachers, and industry supervisors. Regression analysis results showed that psychomotor competencies and soft skills had a significant effect on students' work readiness. Thematic analysis revealed a perception gap between school and industry standards, the importance of formative feedback, and the role of work culture in competency formation. Data integration showed convergence in the aspect of adaptive problem solving, but there were still differences in collaborative competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of Wordwall-based learning media in improving student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The study used a qualitative approach with a literature study method through the search and analysis of various relevant scientific journals from Google Scholar, SINTA, and nationally reputable journals. The study focused on the implementation of Wordwall in PAI learning, its influence on student motivation and engagement, and its impact on improving learning outcomes. The analysis results show that the use of Wordwall can create more interactive, participatory, and student-centered learning. The available educational game features encourage increased learning interest, activeness, and intrinsic motivation of students. Several studies reviewed also show a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores after the implementation of Wordwall, indicating an increase in learning outcomes. In addition to impacting cognitive aspects, this media also supports character strengthening and internalization of Islamic values ​​contextually. Thus, Wordwall can be categorized as an effective and relevant digital learning media in supporting the improvement of the quality of PAI learning in the technological era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the activity and motivation of students learning mathematics using the Think Pair Square cooperative learning model is better than conventional learning. This type of research is an experiment with a research design namely The Static Group Comparison Design. The population in this study were all students, where there are 10 classes with a total of 318 students. Sampling was done randomly first conducted a normality test and homogeneity test on the population data. The sample in this study was class VIII. I as the experimental class and VIII. J as the control class. The instruments used were a mathematics learning motivation questionnaire and a learning activity observation sheet. The results of the activity observation sheet were analyzed using the percentage of activity, after calculating the activity score, an overall average of 82.3% was obtained with active criteria. Meanwhile, the results of the calculation of the data analysis of the students' mathematics learning motivation questionnaire at the real level using the t-test, obtained t count 2.033400708 and t table 1.998971517 where t count > t table. Meanwhile, using SPSS, sig = 0.034 is obtained, meaning significant <a with a real level, based on these results, accept H1 and reject H0. So, it can be concluded that students' mathematics learning activities and motivation using the Think Pair Square type of cooperative learning model are better than conventional learning.

Abstract

The ideal curriculum development in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) should be able to create a curriculum that is dynamic, contextual, and adaptive to the development of the times. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of Depok ministry in developing the curriculum in MI Fatahillah. This research uses descriptive qualitative, case study. From the results of the discussion of this research, it shows that the development of the curriculum in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Integrated Fatahillah includes the strategic efforts of the Head of the Madrasah Section, in the midst of various challenges. The Section Head emphasizes an adaptive and inclusive approach by involving all stakeholders, such as teachers, students, and parents, to ensure the relevance of the curriculum. The application of innovative learning methods, including project-based learning and technology, aims to improve the quality of education. Implementation includes ongoing training for teachers and adequate infrastructure support. Collaboration with educational institutions is also expected to facilitate the exchange of knowledge. The new curriculum development concept emphasizes the integration of character values, the use of technology, and a holistic approach, not only for academic achievement, but also for shaping the personality of students. Overall, the effort is committed to creating a positive and adaptive learning environment, making students intelligent individuals with good character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality control of garlic stick products at CR2FOOD MSME in Sijunjung Regency using the Statistical Quality Control (SQC) method. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach. Research data were obtained through direct observation of the production process, interviews with the business owner, and documentation of production data. Data analysis was conducted using quality control tools within the SQC method, including check sheets, Pareto diagrams, cause-and-effect diagrams (fishbone diagrams), and control charts. The results of the study indicate that several types of product defects are still found, namely non-uniform stick shapes, excessively hard product texture, and uneven levels of doneness. Based on the Pareto diagram analysis, the most dominant defect is the non-uniform shape of the sticks. The fishbone diagram analysis shows that the main causes of defects originate from human factors, production methods, raw materials, and equipment. Therefore, improvements in the production process are required through the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP), enhancement of workers’ skills, and stricter quality supervision to ensure consistent product quality.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in driving regional economic growth and strengthening the national economic structure. In the city of Padang, balado crisps are one of the signature culinary products developed through the MSME sector; however, the increasing number of businesses has led to fiercer competition, thereby necessitating an improvement in competitiveness. This study aims to analyse the influence of product quality and innovation on the competitiveness of balado chips MSMEs in the city of Padang. The study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Primary data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to balado chips MSME operators using a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to test the influence of product quality and innovation on business competitiveness. The results indicate that product quality and innovation have a positive and significant impact on the competitiveness of balado chip SMEs. Improvements in raw material quality, flavour consistency, and innovations in product variants and packaging have proven effective in strengthening the competitive position of SMEs in the market. These findings indicate that the development of product quality and innovation are key factors in enhancing business competitiveness. Therefore, SME operators need to continuously improve quality and pursue innovation in a sustainable manner to remain competitive and thrive in an increasingly dynamic market.
