This research aims to describe the process of translating the narrative text, i.e., “The Endless Tale”, by using Newmark’s model of translation methods and procedures and to analyze its translation. The translation was analyzed by providing annotation on the equivalence selected. The author employed an empirical-based qualitative method in the form of linguistic constituents (e.g., idioms and culture-related words or terms) through three stages, i.e., compiling, collecting, and analyzing the translation. For annotating or explaining idioms or terms in this narrative text, the author used both offline and online dictionaries to produce the most appropriate translation. The problems encountered in the translation process include matching words and sorting phrases or transferring the meaning of idioms in the text into the target language accurately.

Artificial Intelligence-based universal language translation system allows users in the Metaverse to better communicate with each other. Meta points to construct an all-inclusive dialect interpretation framework to permit clients to relate to others within the Metaverse without stressing almost dialect obstructions. Zuckerberg uncovered that Meta is working on building an AI-powered "all-inclusive discourse interpreter" for the Metaverse that will work for everybody within the advanced world. This venture points to streamline clients intelligent who speak distinctive dialects within the computerised universe with the assistance of AI. This paper will consider how virtual realities can affect and affect language learning. On the one hand, virtual realities could benefit people trying to learn second languages by providing virtual experiences that we could share with people who speak other languages. We could learn from other people, and they could learn from us, by "total immersion" in such shared experiences. On the other hand, virtual realities could remove the motivation from many people to learn second languages at all by providing nearly simultaneous. These two views will be argued further.

In an effort to resolve cases, when the victims are women as part of a marginal group, inequality often occurs. Men who hold authority to resolve cases often take sides and incriminate their victims so that the values of legal certainty, justice and expediency are difficult to achieve even though there is peace as a result of the settlement of the case. Besides women, small communities or marginalized groups, people with disabilities are also included in marginal groups. Access to certainty, justice and the benefit of the law is a necessity that this marginal group must obtain. The law must not be dominated by certain groups who are close to certain power, capital, or social status. This problem occurs because part of the inheritance has not been handed over to the rightful party, for this problem then the Village Sangkep Hall carries out a restorative justice process. Finally, an agreement is reached in which one the aggrieved party gets his share and the party who controls the object of the dispute submits it knowingly and voluntarily. The problem ended with each party making a statement that contained a willingness to end the case and not sue each other in the future. Restorative justice has not been comprehensively regulated in various laws and regulations in Indonesia, the term restorative justice is only regulated in the Act. Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System. Sintung Village, in the process of resolving cases, has fulfilled the main principles of restorative justice. This process has succeeded in maintaining order and security in the Sintung Village environment, in addition, the community also supports the existence of the Village Sangkep Hall.

Children need a book that has moral values and provides opportunities for them to explore their imagination and their childhood world. Today, there are many translated books from various backgrounds in the world. Translated children's story books must be communicative in nature so that they are easy to understand and are able to attract children's attention, as well as provide a pleasant experience while reading. However, there are often obstacles to translation, one of which is cultural translation. For this reason, it is necessary to have an appropriate strategy for translating these cultural terms, especially story books for children. This research aims to analyze the translation strategies for cultural terms found in four selected children's story books from the digital library Let's Read Asia – The Asia Foundation so that the translators can take it as things into consideration to translate similar terms. These cultural terms are classified into five categories of cultural words according to Newmark (1988), then the translation strategies are identified. The author refers to the theory of cultural translation strategies from several experts such as Newmark (1988), Baker (2011), and Hoed (2006), some of whose strategies are similar to one another.

In translating English into Indonesian, paraphrasing technique is one of the procedures used to translate technical terms so they can be easily comprehended by the target audience. This article aims to highlight the use of paraphrasing in translating a scientific text titled “How Individuals Change Language” with lay audience as the main target. This paper used a qualitative method through analysis of the technique in translating the source text with two versions of translation being provided as steps, namely a default translation and a final one adjusted for the public. Each section provides a discussion of paraphrasing used to simplify the text’s technical terms. This article has received positive reviews from respondents proficient in English. This shows that paraphrasing technique is the best procedure used to translate texts with specific terms so they can be easily understood. This implies that translators of scientific texts with similar audiences may consider paraphrasing as one of the procedures to be used. This is because the procedure can be used to simplify and change various technical terms that are difficult to understand into their more intelligible counterparts.

This study analyzes the partnership relationship between Online Application Transportation Service companies (JAAD) and drivers in legal sociology. The transportation service company is an association of several capital owners to create an application-based transportation business in the network (online). Its presence is not necessarily followed by the availability of adequate statutory instruments. As a result, quite complicated legal issues arise related to the weak legal protection of partners from the JAAD company. Weak legal protection can lead to social and legal precariatization of partners by citizenship. This is important considering that the partners of the In-network Application Transportation Services (JAAD) company, of whom there are millions, are citizens of the Republic of Indonesia who are under the auspices of the constitution. This study used a qualitative research method with a normative and comparative approach to a number of laws, government regulations, and ministerial regulations. In addition, the legal sociology approach was used to obtain qualitative data related to social and legal aspects of vulnerability and resistance. The results of the study showed that JAAD requires many people to earn income but the legal protection for JAAD’s corporate partners is weak, so they tend to be disadvantaged, exploited so that partners experience social, political and legal precariatization.

Gender socialization in the family is intended for children to learn about gender roles. It is the family that begins to teach a boy to adhere to masculine traits and a daughter to adhere to feminine traits. This gender learning process is often influenced by factors outside the family which then have an impact on gender equality. Therefore, research was conducted to examine how the environment influences the implementation of gender equality in the family. This study used a combined approach to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data because researchers wanted to see trends in data regarding the influence of the environment on gender equality in the family. The results of the study showed that the environment has a significant influence on the implementation of gender equality in the family. The higher the environmental exposure, the higher tendency of respondents not to implement gender equality. This means that there are still differences between boys and girls related to the type of task, type of toys, type of character, pride, and type of color. Every boy or girl already has their own references that have been determined by the family and influenced by the environment. The neighboring factor becomes the dominant factor, in which respondents are aware of these differences, compared to the mass media, friends, and parents. This implies that neighbors are a factor that has a significant influence on respondents in applying differentiation.
