Abstract

Wasiat Islam is an action that is recommended to gain the approval of Allah SWT and hope for His reward. And this will is voluntary from the person who owns the assets to another party which is executed after death. In the last few decades a new law emerged called mandatory will. This obligatory will is a will intended for heirs or relatives who do not receive a share of the inheritance of the person who died, due to a sharia obstacle. This law is one of the results of Islamic law reform which first appeared in Egypt as Inheritance Law legislation in 1946 to overcome the view that male grandchildren inherit mahjub. However, in Indonesia the mandatory will in the compilation of Islamic law (KHI) has changed its function to be intended for adopted children. Basically, according to Islamic inheritance law, adopted children do not receive a share of the inheritance. The purpose of this research is to discuss the regulations on mandatory wills and understand the basics of the application of this law from the perspective of Islamic law and whether it conflicts with Islamic inheritance law, or that this mandatory will is a hilah or a deviation from Islamic law.

Abstract

Marriage is a union between a man and a woman aimed at bringing the couple together and producing offspring. In the context of Middle Eastern culture, a family is considered complete when it has a male child as an heir, leading to a perception that women who cannot bear children are often devalued and neglected. This study employs critical historical interpretation methods to understand biblical texts, particularly Genesis 16:1-5, which illustrates the dynamics between Sarai, Abram, and Hagar. The research was conducted at HKBP Palembang on October 8, 2022, focusing on church youth facing social pressures and identity searches. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, literature studies, and participatory observations. The findings reveal that many youths feel pressured by social expectations and seek recognition within their faith context. This study aims to develop more effective mentoring programs for youth, considering ethical aspects and the confidentiality of informants. Through this approach, it is hoped that ways can be found to demonstrate God's presence in the lives of contemporary youth

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on church life and ministry to congregants, as outlined in the paper from the XXI GKPA Synod. This research aims to analyze the changes in conventional church growth indicators, such as attendance, building utilization, and finances, which are no longer effective benchmarks in these challenging times. Utilizing a qualitative approach and case study design, this study collects data through in-depth interviews, literature reviews, and participatory observations. The findings indicate that churches are required to adapt to the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution while emphasizing the values of harmony highlighted in Psalm 133. Churches are called to "Excel in Serving" by prioritizing solidarity and attention to vulnerable groups. Additionally, the use of technology has become essential for maintaining connections among congregants and fostering creativity in fulfilling the church's mission. In conclusion, this research underscores that the church is called to live together in harmony amidst the challenges of the pandemic and changing times. The focus of ministry is directed towards efforts that bring blessings and life to all, particularly for those who are most vulnerable, while continuously renewing practices relevant to contemporary contexts. This study aims to provide insights for churches in responding to current and future challenges.

Building a literacy culture is crucial after the Covid-19 pandemic. There was a learning crisis or learning loss during the pandemic. One alternative is to bring children closer to access to books through a reading corner. This research aims to create a culture of literacy through optimizing the reading corner at SD Negeri 4 Menteng, Palangka Raya City. The service method starts from preparing needs, carrying out reading corner decorations and socializing the importance of reading corners, then evaluating reading corners. Evaluation using a questionnaire to students regarding responses to the presence of a reading corner. Based on the evaluation results of the reading corner program, it can be concluded that this initiative has had a significant positive impact in building a literacy culture in the school environment. The reading corner program has not only succeeded in providing easy access to reading materials, but also created an atmosphere that supports the development of reading habits among students. This can be seen from the increasing frequency of reading activities, growing awareness of the importance of reading, and the development of literacy discussions between students.

Abstract

Seboro Village is located in Krejengan District, Probolinggo, East Java Province, with an area of 94.75 ha (4.50 mi²) consisting of residential land, agricultural land, public facilities, and plantations. The main agricultural products in Seboro Village are rice in the rainy season and tobacco in the dry season. Seboro Village agriculture plays a very important role in maintaining food security because rice is the main raw material for food and also as the main agricultural producer. In the process of planting rice in Seboro Village itself, it is still relatively traditional, only using hands for the planting process in rice fields, so it requires a lot of workers so that the rice seedling planting process is completed quickly. On the other hand, the planting distance between rice seedlings is not the same so that it can interfere with the growth process between rice plants. Therefore, this community service activity proposes a hand-pushed rice planting tool or Smart Rice Transplanter (SRT) which is a tool to help plant rice in agricultural land efficiently and effectively without having to involve many workers. By using the Smart Rice Transplanter (SRT), it can also produce maximum rice harvest production because there is a system for providing planting distance when planting rice seedlings.

Abstract

Alfin Seboro Kripik is a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (UMKM) that is engaged in the production of Seboro chips, a traditional Indonesian snack made from cassava. Alfin Seboro Kripik strives to uphold its heritage while adapting to modern market demands. This UMKM uses manual and traditional methods to make its chips, relying on a manual process involving frying and seasoning. Despite its commitment to tradition, Alfin Seboro Kripik faces challenges related to product quality and efficiency in its production line. One important issue is the adhesion of oil to the chips after frying, which affects the taste and texture of the final product. Additionally, the lack of advanced machinery limits the company's ability to meet rising consumer expectations and compete effectively in the marketplace. Realizing the need for innovation and improvement, Alfin Seboro Keripik hopes that there will be efforts to integrate modern technology such as the Variable Speed Drive (VSD) Based Spinner Machine system into its production process. The introduction of VSD-driven spinning machines aims to improve oil removal efficiency, improve product consistency, and optimize production workflows. By embracing innovation, Alfin Seboro Kripik aims to improve quality standards, expand market reach, and contribute to the economic development of local communities.

Abstract

Tax is one of the crucial sources of state revenue to fund various development programs and provide public services. In Indonesia, a lack of understanding of tax regulations often leads to low levels of taxpayer compliance, especially in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. In Kudus Regency, the low number of SPT reports indicates a compliance problem among MSME taxpayers. This problem is further exacerbated by external factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused many MSMEs to experience a decline in turnover and financial difficulties. Many MSME actors feel that the obligation to pay taxes reduces their income, so they often ignore their tax obligations. This study aims to analyze the effect of understanding tax regulations, tax rates, the application of the principle of justice, and education levels on taxpayer compliance. The focus of the study was directed at MSME taxpayers registered at the Kudus Pratama Tax Service Office (KPP), with the aim of obtaining a comprehensive picture of the factors that influence tax compliance among MSMEs. The purposive sampling method was used in data collection, with a sample consisting of 400 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression techniques processed with SPSS statistical software version 26. The results of the study showed that each independent variable, namely understanding of tax regulations, tax rates, application of the principle of justice, and level of education, partially had a significant and positive effect on increasing taxpayer compliance.
