Abstract

Latar Belakang : Menstruasi merupakan suatu perubahan fisiologis pada tubuh wanita secara berkala yang dipengaruhi oleh hormon reproduksi. Siklus menstruasi seorang wanita dapat terjadi secara teratur dan tidak teratur, seperti polimenore, oligomenore, dan amenore. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi keteraturan siklus menstruasi adalah stres. Sumber stres yang paling banyak dialami oleh mahasiswa adalah stres dalam bidang akademik. Mahasiswa kedokteran memiliki stres yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas lain karena tuntutan akademik yang tinggi dan kurikulum yang berbeda. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat stres akademik dengan keteraturan siklus menstruasi pada mahasiswa praklinis Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Nusa Cendana. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain cross sectional yang dilakukan pada mahasiswa praklinis Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Nusa Cendana. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengisian Medical Student Stresor Questionnaire (MSSQ) dan kuesioner keteraturan siklus menstruasi oleh 100 responden angkatan 2018, 2019 dan 2020 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik stratified random sampling . Hasilnya dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji korelasi koefisien kontingensi. Hasil : Dari 100 responden, 51 responden mengalami stres berat, 31 responden mengalami stres sedang, 13 responden mengalami stres sangat berat, dan 5 responden mengalami stres ringan. Untuk keteraturan siklus menstruasi, 70 responden memiliki siklus menstruasi normal, 30 responden memiliki siklus menstruasi tidak normal, 28 responden mengalami oligomenore dan 2 orang mengalami polimenore. Hasil uji analisis bivariat dengan uji korelasi koefisien kontingensi menunjukkan hasil p = 0,151 (p>0,05) Kesimpulan : Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat stres akademik dengan keteraturan siklus menstruasi pada mahasiswa praklinis Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Nusa Cendana. Abstract

Background: The prevalence of GERD has increased in all age groups with the highest incidence in the age group of 20 to 45 years. Bank employees are in the reproductive age group who have time demands of work, which require longer working hours with lifestyle changes and are at risk of developing GERD. Changes in eating patterns with spicy, sour and fatty foods such as corn bose, sei meat, sambal luat and tangerine soe if consumed frequently and in excessive amounts can cause heartburn and regurgitation complaints.Methods: This study uses an analytical observational research design with a cross sectional design conducted on bank employees in Soe City, East Nusa Tenggara using a local culinary diet questionnaire and a gastroesophageal reflux disease questionnaire (GERD-Q). Sampling using total sampling technique and obtained 99 research subjects who meet the inclusion criteria.Results: From the results of the contingency coefficient test, there is no relationship between local culinary eating patterns with GERD symptoms in bank employees in Soe City, East Nusa Tenggara.Conclusion: there is no correlation between local culinary eating patterns with GERD symptoms in bank employees in Soe City, East Nusa Tenggara.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Pre hypertension is a condition where blood pressure is ≥ 130-139/85-89 mmHg, which if ignored may progress to hypertension. Pre hypertension can be prevented through a healthy lifestyle, including non-pharmacological management by consuming cucumber (Cucumis sativus L) juice. Cucumber is a plant commonly found in daily life and contains potassium, which plays role in reducing blood pressure through arteriolar vasodilation mechanisms. Objective: To determine the effect of cucumber juice (Cucumis sativus L) for 7 days, containing 735 mg of potassium or equivalent to 250 ml of cucumber juice, on reducing blood pressure in pre hypertension patients at Oesapa Public Health Center. Method: An intervention study using a one group pre-test post-test design with a total of 15 subjects. The study population consisted of residents in the working area of Oesapa Public Health Center in Kupang City and the sample comprised pre hypertension patients aged 40-59 yaers who agreed to participate in the study. This research was conducted door to door by directly visiting the subjects homes using digital OMRON HBP 1100 sphygmomanometer for 7 days. Results: The Wilcoxon signed ranks test showed significant results between pre test and post test blood pressure with a value of 0.01 for systolic blood pressure and 0.03 for diastolic blood pressure (p<0.05). Conclusion: The administration of cucumber juice (Cucumis sativus L) has an effect on reducing blood pressure in pre hypertension patients at Oesapa Public Health Center. Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) states that alcohol use causes 3.3 million deaths each year and accounts for 60 types of diseases due to alcohol abuse. EastNusa Tenggara occupies the first province with the highest prevalence of drinking alcohol and is the second largest province with the population who consume alcohol. Per capita alcohol consumption is mostly consumed by adolescents aged 15-19 years. Data from BPS 2012 showsthat 83.1% of Indonesian adolescents have ever consumedalcohol. The consumption of alcoholic beverages can causeserious health problems.

Abstract

Background : One of the factors that influence smartphone addiction is situational factors such as academic stress. Medical students have higher levels of stress than other faculties, due to having additional stress as a result of longer study periods and applying different curriculum. Person experiencing stressful situations will naturally attempt to overcome them by using a certain number of behaviors, one of which is by playing a smartphone. Objective : To find out relation beetween academic stress levels to smartphone addiction in medical students of Nusa Cendana University. Methods : This study was an observational analytical research with cross sectional design conducted on medical students of Nusa Cendana University by filling out the Medical Student Stressor Questionnaire (MSSQ) questionnaire and smartphone addiction scale short version (SAS-SV) questionnaire. The sampling technique uses stratified random sampling with 67 respondents fulfilling the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The study was conducted univariate, bivariate using the chi-square test. Results : From 67 respondents, 1 (1.5%) respondents experienced mild academic stress, 27(40.3%) moderate stress respondents, 29 (43.3%) respondents were severely stressed and 10 (14.9%) respondents are very severely stressed. Of the 67 respondents also obtained 44 (65.7%) respondents addicted to smartphones and 23 (34.3%) respondents not experience smartphone addiction. The results of bivariate analysis test in this study obtained the result of p=0.588 (p>0.05). Conclusion : There is no relationship between academic stress and smartphone addiction in medical students of Nusa Cendana University

Abstract

When experiencing menstruation, it is often accompanied by pain which is commonly called dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea experienced can cause discomfort both during activities and at rest so that it can affect sleep quality. The sleep quality of medical students is bad, apart from the lecture burden, it is suspected that it can also be influenced by the intensity of pain, such as when experiencing primary dysmenorrhea. To determine the relationship between primary dysmenorrhea and sleep quality in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Nusa Cendana. This research is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional design in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Nusa Cendana. Data was conducted by filling out the primary dysmenorrhea questionnaire and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire by 106 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Sampling was done by using stratified random sampling technique. The result was analyzed univariate and bivariate using Phi Correlation test. Data from 106 respondents showed that 63.2% of respondents experienced primary dysmenorrhea and as many as 36.8 respondents did not experience primary dysmenorrhea. For sleep quality, 80.2% of respondents had poor sleep quality and 19.8% of respondents had good sleep quality. In this study, it was found that more respondents had primary dysmenorrhea with poor sleep quality than good sleep quality. The results of the bivariate analysis with the Phi Correlation test showed the results of p value=0.520 (p> 0.05). There is no significant relationship between primary dysmenorrhea and sleep quality in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Nusa Cendana.

Abstract

Abstrak Latar Belakang: Hiperkolesterolemia merupakan kondisi dimana terdapat kadar lemak jenuh yang tinggi dalam darah. Hal ini menyebabkan beberapa penyakit serius termasuk resistensi insulin yang akan merusak sel pankreas. Pengobatan alternatif merupakan salah satu tindakan yang paling umum dilakukan dan sambiloto merupakan salah satu alternatifnya . Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh ekstrak sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata), terhadap gambaran histopatologi pankreas tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) jantan galur wistar yang diberi paparan diet tinggi kolesterol. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratorium dengan pendekatan true experimental design post test with control group yang diterapkan pada kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan randomized probability sampling. Sampel dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol normal, kelompok kontrol negatif, kelompok kontrol positif dan 3 kelompok yang diberi ekstrak dengan beberapa dosis (200, 400 dan 800 mg/kgbb). Penilaian kerusakan pankreas menggunakan skor Knodell yang dimodifikasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan multivariat dengan uji Chi-square, uji Kruskal-wallis dan dilanjutkan dengan uji post hoc HSD. Hasil: Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan ada pengaruh pemberian ekstrak sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata) terhadap gambaran histopatologi pankreas pada tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) galur wistar yang diberi diet tinggi kolesterol dengan nilai signifikansi p= 0,001 (p<0,05). Dari uji dosis terbukti dosis yang paling efektif dalam memperbaiki kerusakan sel pankreas adalah 800 mg/kgbb. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hasil yang bermakna antara pemberian ekstrak sambiloto dengan gambaran histopatologi pankreas pada tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) galur wistar yang dipapar model hiperkolesteremia dengan dosis yang paling efektif adalah 800 mg/kgbb. Abstract

Abstract Background : Obesity is a condition where there is an accumulation of excess fat in the body. In obesity, especially central obesity is associated with most diseases such as cardiovascular disease and metabolic syndrome. This results in high morbidity and mortality rates for obese patients. Central obesity is the accumulation of fat in the abdomen as measured by anthropometric measurements of waist circumference (waist circumference). Hypertension is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease, and one of the independent risk factors for hypertension is obesity. The risk of hypertension increases by 1.40 times in people with central obesity. Hypertension is a disease that often occurs in the elderly. Objective: This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between waist circumference and blood pressure in the elderly at the Budi Agung Nursing Home, Kupang City. Method: This study is a correlation analytic study using a cross-sectional design. The research population is the elderly at the Budi Agung Nursing Home in Kupang City. Sampling is done by using purposive sampling technique and obtained as many as 60 research subjects. Waist circumference was measured using a non- elastic tape measure in a standing position. Blood pressure was measured using a sphygmomanometer Result: Among male respondents, 76.9% had a waist circumference of ≤94.0 cm, 11.5% had a waist circumference of >94.0-102.0 cm, and 11.5% had a waist circumference of >102.0 cm. Female respondents, 23.5% had a waist circumference of ≤80.0 cm, 23.5% had a waist circumference of >80.0-88.0 cm, and 52.9% had a waist circumference of >88.0 cm. on blood pressure, 13.3% normal, 43.3% prehypertension, 31.7% hypertension level 1, 11.7 hypertension level 2. The results of bivariate analysis using the Spearmen test obtained p = 0.019 (r = 0.303). Conclusion: There is a relationship between waist circumference and blood pressure in the elderly at the Budi Agung Nursing Home in Kupang City. Keywords: Waist circumference, blood pressure, elderly

Abstract

Background : Dry eye which is affected by the duration of staring at screens such as playing online games. Purpose : To determine the relationship between the duration of playing online games with tear film stability in medical students. Methods :an observational analytic study with a cross sectional. The data was obtained by conducting a TBUT (Tear Break Up Time Test) examination by an ophthalmologist. Results : Sample playing online games for < 2 hours a day , samples with marginal evaporated dry eye and 10 (20%) samples with normal tear film stability. A total of 24 samples who played online games with a duration of 2-5 hours a day were 12 (24%) samples with marginal evaporated dry eye and 12 (24%) samples with normal tear film stability. A total of 8 (16%) samples who played online games with a duration of > 5 hours, there were 5 (10%) samples with marginal evaporated dry eye and 3 (6%) with normal tear film stability. The results of the somers'd correlation analysis test showed a significance level of p = 0.424 (p> 0.05). Conclusion : There is no significant relationship between the duration of playing online games with tear film stability.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Maraknya masalah kekerasan seksual menjadi perhatian pemerintah Indonesia saat ini. Salah satu strategi untuk mencegah terjadinya kekerasan seksual adalah dengan menyadarkan siswa agar memahami, menyadari, dan peduli terhadap pencegahan terjadinya kekerasan seksual. Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) merupakan metode pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran karena siswa merasa lebih nyaman bertanya kepada siswa lain dibandingkan dosen. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tidaknya pengaruh metode peer assisted learning dalam pelatihan PSEA terhadap perubahan niat civitas akademika untuk mencegah kekerasan seksual. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimental two group design dengan pretest-posttest dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 75 orang yang dibagi menjadi kelompok tutor dan kelompok tutee dengan mengisi kuesioner yang telah dibuat oleh tim peneliti. Data pada kelompok tutor dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan kelompok tutee menggunakan uji Paired Sample T. Hasil: Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada skor rata-rata intensitas perilaku antara sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan pada kelompok tutor (nilai p = 0,032), namun tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada skor rata-rata pada kelompok tutee (nilai p = 0,133). Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh metode PAL dalam pelatihan PSEA terhadap perubahan intensitas perilaku kelompok tutor selama Training of Trainers (TOT). Namun tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan pada kelompok tutee.
