Abstract

LSD disease is caused by the DNA virus of the genus Capripox from the family poxviridae. This disease is transmitted in various ways, one of which is a vector bite. It is suspected that drum flies and wild animals such as rats in drums play a role in spreading this disease within one drum or in a larger area. According to tests that have been carried out and existing theories, this disease is also excreted in livestock products, for example saliva, milk and semen directly, and also spreads indirectly through the use of non-sterile livestock equipment and human power (REF). (search about whether it has gone so far and the samples used and the results at the Wates bbvet. Cases of LSD disease have spread to almost all regions in Java and have been confirmed by the competent ministry. This article contains findings from residents' reports to local agencies who submitted requests for examination starting from physical signs, clinical symptoms, Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) examination as well as histopathological examination of a biopsy of skin tissue where the nodule lesion was formed. RT-PCR examination to confirm the presence of the virus from swab samples and lesion scrapings as well as histopathological examination is carried out to ensure the formation of intracytoplasmic inclusion bends as one of the characteristic features of LSD disease.

Abstract

The respondents used in this research were the purpose sampling method and simple random sampling. The number of samples taken was 20% of the population of farmer groups, so the total sample was 84 farmers. The analysis technique in this research uses a qualitative descriptive research type using qualitative and quantitative analysis. The research results show that in improving the welfare of farmers, farmer groups act as learning class units, cooperation units and production and farming units which have a very good impact on the farmer groups themselves. The problem faced by farmers as a learning unit is that there are still farmer groups participating in groups. As a cooperative unit, the division of tasks within farmer groups is not realized properly. As a production and farming unit, the farming process is disrupted by weather and unsupportive farming facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to select female goats that have the potential to give birth to triplets.  The analysis was carried out in four EC goats with triplets consisting of 12 twins and four single births. FSH and LH hormones were analyzed using the ELISA method (LIA kit). The t-test results showed that the average body size of single-born EC goats was significantly different (P0.05) in body weight (BW), chest circumference (CC), hip height (HH), and hip width (HW). The size of BW, CC, HH and HW were larger in the triplet than in the single birth type, with a ratio of BW (40.83±10.10 vs. 37.20±4.67) kg, CC (84.00±3,46 vs. 78.05±4.24) cm, HH (72.70±3.21vs 67.50±3.12) cm and HW (17.74±2.09 vs. 11.16±2.12) cm. Furthermore, there was a significant difference (P≤0.05) between the ages of single-born EC goats, which was higher than that of triplets, namely 4.20±1.41 vs. 1.67±1.03 (months). This had a significant effect (P≤0.05) on the body size, especially on the BW, BL, BH and HH. EC goats with twin birth types had significantly higher FSH hormone levels than those with single births, namely FSH (3.41±0.08 vs1.37±0.08) mlU/ml. In contrast, the EC goat kids did not show a significant difference.  Conclusion: Goats selection with the potential to give birth to triplets can be detected from hip size and FSH levels in their blood which correlate positively with body weight and chest circumference measurements.

Abstract

The public's need for food derived from Broiler chickens is increasing. To meet this increase, livestock businesses began to create Closed House type chicken coops for breeding Broiler Chickens or DOC (Day Old Chicken) Chicken Seeds. Where the growth and development of broiler chickens in regular/open house cages is very susceptible to cage temperature because they often find it difficult to control and monitor the temperature of the cage so that it remains ideal. To overcome this, this research builds a system that can control temperature to obtain the ideal temperature in the broiler chicken coop using a Punos 313-based temperature control and monitoring system so that farmers can control and monitor the temperature of the chicken coop remotely. Punos 313 is a tool for recording temperature and humidity data in the cage and then transmitting the data to the system using SKOV. The results of this research show that the system is able to control temperature and monitor temperature conditions in the cage remotely.
