Abstract

This research is inspired by the importance of investigating women's perspectives on life in novels. A.r. Rizal's Perempuan Batih reflects the standpoint of Minangkabau women on life, which is the central issue of this study. The purpose of this study is to describe the discussed problems, while the benefits of this research are that it can enrich the development of linguistics and literature, particularly in the field of sociology of literature studies, and that it can be used as a reference in teaching Indonesian language and literature. This study employs a qualitative descriptive research strategy and a literary sociology methodology. Based on the position of women in Minangkabau society, the novel's analysis reveals the following Minangkabau women's perspectives on life: 1) The view of women as the oldest pillar of the gadang house, 2) The view of women as holder of the key to the heirloom, and 3) A guide to heaven. The Minangkabau women's perspective on life, which is founded on their unity, consists of the following: 1) A view of equality, 2) A view of feeling and checking, and 3) A view of one accord. Based on their work ethic, Minangkabau women have the following perspectives on life: 1) View of life, 2) View of life toward labour, and 3) View of life on time. The outcomes of this study are referred to as a 2013 curriculum implementation plan for studying Indonesian at the 12th-grade level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between independence learning and GPA in the use of Google Classroom. This research uses a correlation study approach. The data collection tool used is a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The population in this study were Chemical Education Students, FKIP Untan, Batch 2021. The samples taken were 43 respondents. The results of data analysis using the analysis prerequisite test with a significance level of 0.05 indicate that the learning independence data variable is normally distributed and the GPA is not normally distributed which is transformed with a significance of 0.288 so that the research variable data has a normal distribution. The results of the linearity test show that the regression line is linear. The results of the analysis of hypothesis testing using the Product Moment Correlation show that there is no positive and significant relationship between Independence Learning and the Cumulative Achievement Index. Product Moment correlation analysis rcount of -0.025. This value is smaller than rtable with N=43 at the 5% significance level of 0.2940. This means that Learning Independence has no positive impact and does not significantly affect student GPA on the use of Google Classroom.

Abstract

Gender representation in children's story books, especially bilingual thematic storybooks to find out how gender is depicted in children's stories. This type of research uses the data analysis content of the Miles and Huberman models. The sample/subject in this study was a bilingual story book written by Rian F. Rahman. In the bilingual thematic story I Love Cleanlines (I Love Cleanlines), the researcher saw that in the children's story there are roles of men, namely fathers, boys and girls, namely mothers. Based on the results of the analysis of bilingual thematic storybooks "I Love the Environment (I Love Cleanliness)" related to gender representation, the researchers divided male and female gender, namely roles, behavior, mentality, and emotional characteristics according to the Women's Studies Encyclopedia, it can be concluded that the story has each section according to gender. Even so, this story book is more dominant in providing positions and homework which shows that the role of men is superior, this can be proven by the appearance of men who dominate in every housework such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning windows, and pulling grass. Meanwhile, the role of women only appeared once when delivering food and drinks.
