Abstract

This study aims to determine the structure or intrinsic elements of the Lau Kawar folklore from Naman Teran District, Karo Regency. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative research form. The data sources for this research are Mr. Sumardi, Mr. Kohar, and Mr. Rekam Pincawan and the data is a structure in the form of quotations of words, phrases, sentences and paragraphs. The results of this study are first: the theme contained in the Lau Kawar folklore is disappointment. Second: there are twelve settings consisting of three place settings, three time settings, five atmosphere settings, and one social setting. Third: the message contained in the Lau Kawar folklore is that you should never be disobedient to your parents. Fourth, the characters from the Lau Kawar folklore are one central character and four additional characters consisting of three additional characters and one background character. In terms of character, there are five characters consisting of five characters. Fifth: there are five parts to the plot stages, namely exposure, initiation, rise, climax, and completion. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the Ruang Guru and GTK (Teachers and Education Personnel) applications at SD Negeri Percobaan Palangka Raya in supporting teaching and school administration at the elementary level. The background of this research is based on the demand for educational digitalization in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era and the freedom to learn policy, which encourages schools to integrate technology into learning processes and school management. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques consisting of in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The research informants were the principal, teachers, and education personnel selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and validated by source and method triangulation. The findings show that the implementation of the Ruang Guru application assists teachers in preparing lesson plans, expanding access to online training, and enriching teaching methods, while the GTK application contributes to more efficient administration, reporting, and professional development of education staff. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, such as limited internet infrastructure, inadequate devices, and low digital literacy among senior teachers. The school addressed these challenges through internal training, technical assistance, and scheduling the use of applications alternately. This study concludes that the management of the Ruang Guru and GTK applications in elementary schools has the potential to improve the quality of learning and the effectiveness of administration, provided that leadership support, teacher collaboration, and policy commitment to strengthening digital infrastructure are ensured.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Istana Kadriah tourism object on the social and economic conditions of the community in Dalam Bugis Village, East Pontianak District. The research employs a qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that, from a social perspective, the local community continues to preserve their cultural values and traditional lifestyles despite frequent interactions with visitors from various regions and countries. Social interactions between residents and tourists are harmonious, polite, and friendly. Moreover, the community actively participates in managing the tourism area by serving as guards, guides, and volunteers in various cultural and religious activities, reflecting their sense of responsibility and concern for the preservation of local heritage. From an economic perspective, the existence of Istana Kadriah has created new income opportunities for residents through small businesses such as food, beverage, and souvenir sales. Traditional markets and microenterprises around the area have also grown in response to the increasing number of tourists. However, the management of Istana Kadriah still faces several challenges, including limited funding and inadequate facilities such as signage and waste disposal. Despite these constraints, the community’s spirit of independence and participation remains a key factor in maintaining the sustainability of this cultural tourism site. Overall, Istana Kadriah plays a significant role not only as a cultural tourism destination but also as a medium for social and economic empowerment within the local community

Abstract

This study aims to explore in depth the perceptions and experiences of teachers and tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Pemangkat regarding the use of Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media in financial institution material. The background of this study stems from the continued dominance of conventional approaches in the teaching and learning process, which are considered less capable of bridging abstract concepts and motivating students optimally. Using a qualitative method with a case study design, data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews and participatory observation of economics teachers and 31 students. The analysis process was conducted thematically and interpreted using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) and Self-Determination Theory (SDT) frameworks. The research findings indicate that the use of AR media has a positive impact on students' performance expectations and hedonic motivation, while also strengthening the fulfillment of their psychological needs related to competence and autonomy. However, factors such as facility support and social influence remain key aspects influencing the acceptance of this technology. This article presents in-depth qualitative findings on the opportunities and challenges in implementing AR, and offers practical recommendations for the development of more effective and contextual technology-based learning media in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the feasibility of the UMKM Roti A business in Pontianak City, focusing on marketing and management aspects. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The informants in this study were 8 people with data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing, with data validity testing using triangulation techniques and sources. The marketing aspect was assessed against the 7P marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion, people, process, physical evidence), while the management aspect assessed the ability of UMKM Roti A to manage its business with planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. The results of the study showed that overall UMKM Roti A was considered feasible by having a good marketing strategy such as products that have distinctive characteristics, affordable prices, strategic locations, effective promotions, and responsive services. However, there are several things that need to be improved such as store visibility, employee attitudes when busy and visual branding. From the management aspect, UMKM Roti A is considered feasible to be developed in the future. In terms of management, planning, actuating and controlling showed good results. However, in the organizing section, it is necessary to improve HR management for the future. Improvement of marketing and management efficiency for UMKM Roti A has the potential to develop in the future and be highly competitive.

Abstract

The process of interaction between teachers and students that requires planning to meet the students' understanding is called Learning. This learning process can influence the quality of student learning outcomes, thus necessitating the systematic planning and presentation of materials using educational resources, one of which is by developing teaching materials with a modern approach, such as Google Sites. Google Sites is a free web creation platform that allows users to insert text, images, videos, and more as needed, making it suitable for use in learning activities as a modern interactive teaching resource. The purpose of this research is to conduct a review based on scientific articles discussing the development of teaching materials using Google Sites and the feasibility of its use in learning activities. The literature study method was used in this research by utilizing various scientific articles obtained over the past 5 years. Analysis based on 10 scientific articles shows that Google Sites-based teaching materials are feasible, practical, and effective for use in learning from elementary to secondary school.

Abstract

Pradikta, D. 2024. Development of audio-visual media in learning Indonesian cultural wealth for grade IV Elementary School. Thesis, Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Elementary Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tanjungpura University. This study aims to develop audio-visual media in the form of learning videos to support learning of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) on Indonesian Cultural Wealth for grade IV students of SDN 17 Pontianak City. The method used is research and development (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of the study showed that the validity of the learning video product in the design aspect obtained a value of 4.39 with the criteria "Very Valid" and in the material aspect obtained a value of 4.40 with the criteria "Very Valid". This learning video media was designed using Microsoft PowerPoint, equipped with visual elements, animation, narration sound, and accompanying music that are relevant to student characteristics. Validation by design and material experts showed that this product is very valid for use.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of figures of speech such as contrast, emphasis, comparison, and satire in the book Overthinking Is My Hobby, and I Hate It by Alvi Syahrin. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative form. The data source in this study is the book Overthinking Is My Hobby, and I Hate It by Alvi Syahrin. The research data consists of text quotations containing figures of speech according to the predetermined categories. The data collection technique used is an indirect technique in the form of documentary study. In this study, the types of figures of speech found include 25 metaphors, 20 personifications, and 7 hyperboles. The figures of emphasis found in this study include 14 paradoxes and 11 antitheses. The figures of speech of emphasis found in this study include 21 parallelisms and 12 repetitions. The figures of speech of irony found in this study include 2 sarcasms and 1 irony. The results of this study can serve as a reference for readers, academics, and educators in understanding and appreciating the use of figurative language in literary works.

Abstract

The incorporation of digital media in education is increasingly recognized as essential for facilitating interactive and effective learning experiences. This study conducts a systematic review of eight national journal articles that focus on the development and application of Lectora Inspire as an educational tool across multiple subjects. Employing a literature review approach, the research examines publications from 2016 to 2024 by analyzing the methodologies, instruments, findings, and conclusions presented in each article. The findings indicate that Lectora Inspire-based media consistently achieve high validity ratings from experts and receive positive feedback from both educators and students. Evidence from the reviewed studies demonstrates that this media enhances student learning outcomes, reflected in improved posttest results and heightened learner engagement throughout the instructional process. Its user-friendly nature and adaptability make it well-suited to support personalized learning needs. Consequently, Lectora Inspire is regarded as a valid and effective digital learning medium suitable for diverse educational settings.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of code-switching and code-mixing in the conversations of students at SMA Negeri 1 Suti Semarang, Bengkayang Regency. The background of this research lies in the multilingual environment of the school, where students use various local languages, including Dayak Bakati Sebiha, Bemoyok, and Malay, alongside Indonesian. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data obtained through observation and note-taking of students"™ daily conversations in informal settings. The findings reveal that the only type of code-switching identified is internal code-switching, occurring between languages within the same linguistic family, such as from Dayak Bakati Sebiha to Malay, or from Indonesian to a local language. Furthermore, code-mixing was found exclusively at the word and clause levels, involving the insertion of local language elements into Indonesian or vice versa. These linguistic shifts occur naturally, reflecting students"™ communicative flexibility and their socio-cultural identity. The results suggest that language use among students is influenced by social relationships and communication contexts, highlighting the importance of recognizing and valuing linguistic diversity in educational settings.
