Abstract

Introduction: One of the main causes of death globally is tuberculosis (TB), a chronic infectious disease brought on by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Although it should be a key part of managing multiple drug-resistant (MDR) tuberculosis, palliative care is still underutilized. Methods: This study is a review of the literature that uses four databases: PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, and ProQuest—for analysis of original research. The database search terms that were entered were "palliative care" and "tuberculosis." The publications that were found had a number of limitations, including being published during the last ten years (2015–2025). Results: The literature review synthesized seven publications in total. Palliative care for TB patients falls into four categories: screening, treatment, care, and creating a supportive atmosphere outside of medical facilities. Conclusion: To improve the success of TB prevention, palliative care for TB patients is required from the time of initial detection to the end of treatment.

Abstract

Introduction: An earthquake is a vibration of the Earth's crust that causes oscillations from an unknown state to an earthquake. The occurrence of an earthquake is associated with the release of stress in the Earth's crust, resulting in elastic waves that propagate through the Earth's layers. Method: This research uses a quantitative method with a pre-experimental study design by applying the one-group pre-post test design. The sample that will be used during the research consists of 37 mentally challenged students. Results: Statistical analysis with the Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05), indicating that there is an effect of education with the SIGANA animated video on the preparedness of mentally disabled children in facing earthquakes at SLB Negeri 2 Buleleng. Conclusion: With an average preparedness score of 34.78 before (pre-test) education with the SIGANA animated video, the highest score was 51 and the lowest score was 24. Meanwhile, the average preparedness score of the children after (post-test) being educated with the SIGANA animated video was 45.89, with the highest score being 60 and the lowest score being 30.

Abstract

Introduction: Post-stroke patients often have difficulty carrying out normal activities, even if they can only sit in a wheelchair. It was recorded that 28.5% of stroke sufferers died and the rest suffered partial or even total paralysis. There is a need for management that can overcome the problem of hemiparesis in post-stroke patients. Efforts that can be made are mirror therapy exercises, this is an exercise that is relatively simple, cheap and can be done at home. Objective: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of mirror therapy in post-stroke patients with hemiparesis who are undergoing independent treatment at home based on a study from the last 9 years. Method: The research design used the Preferred Reporting Items for Systemic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) Guidelines with an online literature search strategy using the Google Chrome search engine Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed and Proquest. The literature source years taken were from 2014 to 2022. Results: Research from 8 journals reviewed showed that mirror therapy was effective in treating hemiparesis in post-stroke patients. Mirror therapy exercises for 4 weeks with a dose of 1 time a day in the morning, with a duration of 5-7 minutes. Conclusion: Mirror therapy is a therapy that can be used to treat hemiparesis problems in post-stroke patients, which is simple, cheap and can be done at home.

Abstract

Introduction: WHO records data on breast milk coverage in Indonesia as of 2022 at 67.96%. The Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Provincial Health Service in 2022 recorded that the number of babies receiving exclusive breast milk was 73.25%, still far from the target set by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, namely 88% (Nurbaiti & Gustina, 2022). Actions that can be taken to increase breast milk production are by stimulating the breastfeeding hormone, namely the hormone oxytocin, which can be stimulated with oxytocin massage. Based on the description above, researchers are interested in conducting research on the effect of oxytocin massage education on increasing the productivity of exclusive breastfeeding. Method: This research uses Quasy Experimental Design (Pretest – Posttest Control Group Design). The population in this study were all post partum mothers in the Tegalrejo Health Center and Jetis Health Center areas, Yogyakarta with a sample size of 28 people in the intervention group and 28 people in the control group Result: Based on the results of statistical tests, it shows that there is a difference in the productivity of exclusive breastfeeding after oxytocin massage in the intervention group and the control group with a p value <0.05 Conclusion: Based on the discussion of the research results, it can be interpreted that post partum mothers who were given oxytocin massage can produce increased breast milk productivity compared to the control group who were not given oxytocin massage.

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Stress is one of the common psychological issues experienced by students, particularly due to academic pressure, social factors, and expectations from their surroundings. If not properly managed, stress can disrupt the learning process, mental health, and the overall well-being of students. This study aims to identify the level of stress experienced by students and the effectiveness of doodling therapy as a coping strategy. Stress among students can affect their academic performance and emotional well-being. Doodling therapy, as a form of art therapy, is expected to be an effective intervention in reducing stress. Method: The method used is a pre-experimenalt with a pretest-posttest design. The research subjects are 30 students. The instrument used is the Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents (ESSA) to measure the students' stress levels, and the data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Result: The research results show a significant reduction in stress levels after the implementation of doodling therapy, with a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). Doodling therapy helps students express emotions freely, reduce anxiety levels, and improve mood. Conclusion: Doodling therapy is effective in reducing stress in students because of its simplicity, flexibility, and the fact that it can be done at any time.

Abstract

Introduction: Pregnant women are experiencing physical changes as an attempt to adapt their bodies during the pregnancy process. The physical changes experienced by pregnant women often make them feel uncomfortable. The pregnant woman's inability to cope with discomfort due to physiological changes can also disrupt the mother's psychology. This condition can lead to problems in the mother's psychology, such as anxiety in pregnant women, especially mothers who are pregnant for the first time.Method: This study employed a non-experimental study that used a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational design. The study recruited 35 participants as a sample, selecting them through a purposive sampling technique. Result: The Spearman’s Rho test showed that the average of trimester III pregnant women experienced mild psychological disorders with a value of 37.69, and the average of husbands’ roles was 70.69, which meant that husbands play a very significant role. Conclusion: There is no correlation between the role of the husband and psychological primigravida pregnant women in trimester III with a p-value of 0.354 < 0.05. Other factors that affect anxiety are age, education, economy, occupation, parity, and environment. Husbands, families, and health facilities are expected to have more understanding of both the mental and emotional conditions experienced by pregnant women during pregnancy.
