Abstract

In rural areas, infrastructure is crucial for supporting social and economic development. It encompasses technical facilities, physical systems, hardware, and software needed to provide services to the community and support structural networks, ensuring the smooth progress of economic and social growth. This study aims to analyze the accessibility of basic infrastructure and determine the road priority ranking in Pal IX Village, Sungai Kakap Subdistrict, Kubu Raya Regency, using the Integrated Rural Accessibility Planning (IRAP) method and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The analysis results using the IRAP method indicate that the highest priority sector in Pal IX Village is Primary School Education (SMP), with an accessibility value of 10,52. Meanwhile, the road benefit analysis, using IRAP and GIS, shows that the highest priority road is Jalan Kalimas Hulu, with a road benefit accessibility value of 18,12. The IRAP method is effective for planning and improving rural accessibility by utilizing GIS for data analysis and mapping. GIS allows for more accurate and efficient data collection, processing, and visualization related to infrastructure and accessibility. Abstract

Geopolymer concrete is made by activating raw materials high in silica and alumina using alkaline activators. This material substitutes conventional Portland cement concrete by incorporating industrial waste materials like fly ash or metakaolin, which are recognized for reduced carbon emissions and superior chemical resistance. This study experimentally investigates the effect of the activator ratio (NaOH/Na₂SiO₃) on the alkali-silica reaction and the mechanical properties of geopolymer concrete made from fly ash, aiming to optimize the performance of this sustainable construction material. The experiment assesses various parameters, such as slump, volume weight, compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, and elastic modulus, using a constant 10M molar concentration for the activator solution with activator ratios of 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, and 1/5. The specimens used for the tests were cylindrical, measuring 10 cm x 20 cm for compressive strength tests and 15 cm x 30 cm for tests on split tensile strength and elastic modulus. Compressive strength was tested at 7, 14, and 28 days, while split tensile strength and elastic modulus were tested at 28 days. Results announced that increasing the Na₂SiO₃ concentration in the activator solution significantly affected the properties of geopolymer concrete. The optimal NaOH/Na₂SiO₃ ratio was found to be 1/5.

Abstract

The rapid economic growth in major Indonesian cities has led to increased movement of people and goods, particularly in commercial centers, office districts, schools, places of worship, and other urban areas. To accommodate pedestrians while ensuring smooth traffic flow, the government is responsible for providing adequate sidewalk infrastructure. However, in practice, sidewalks often fail to function as intended. In response, the Pontianak City Government plans to expand and enhance sidewalk networks to create a more pedestrian-friendly urban environment. This study applies the Guttman Scale method in accordance with Regulation of the Minister of Public Works No. 03/PRT/M/2014 and Guideline 07/P/BM/2023 to assess sidewalk conditions. Additionally, pedestrian satisfaction is evaluated through interviews using the Likert Scale method. The assessment of existing sidewalk conditions, based on technical guidelines, produced the following results: safety (56.25%), comfort (100%), accessibility (37.50%), aesthetics (87.50%), connectivity (33.33%), and supporting facilities (15%). Meanwhile, pedestrian satisfaction ratings were accessibility (82.83%), climate and natural resilience (85.56%), air quality/odor (86.67%), cleanliness (69.44%), aesthetics (80.83%), safety (81.67%), supporting facilities (76.43%), and obstacles (71.67%). These findings highlight key areas for improvement and underscore the need for comprehensive urban planning strategies to enhance pedestrian infrastructure and overall sidewalk usability in Pontianak.

Abstract

As part of the city"™s economic growth, constructing hotels in Pontianak requires planning considering earthquake resistance to protect building occupants and minimize material damage and the negative economic impacts of earthquakes. Therefore, this study aims to apply the Intermediate Moment Resisting Frame (SRPMM) system to the structural design of a 7-story hotel building in Pontianak. In this study, the building structure is designed using reinforced concrete with the SRPMM system, which can provide adequate stability against earthquake loads. This research includes load calculations, structural analysis, earthquake resistance design, considering the planned structural dimensions, and using structural analysis software to calculate internal forces. The building is classified as KDS C. Thus, the application of SRPMM complies with the necessities set out in SNI 2847-2019 and SNI 1726-2019. The analysis results show that the designed structure meets earthquake opposition requirements according to established standards. This study contributes to developing the application of SRPMM to multi-story buildings, particularly in regions with low to moderate earthquake risks like Pontianak.

Abstract

Education is fundamental to human development, enabling individuals to cultivate logical thinking and continuously evolve, fostering positive behaviors and attitudes. This is especially crucial for the younger generation today. The increasing development and construction of lecture buildings in Pontianak City significantly support education and intellectual growth. Lecture buildings are designed as multi-story structures to address land limitations while accommodating large capacities. The structural design of a seven-story earthquake-resistant lecture building in Pontianak City utilizes a reinforced concrete structure and follows the Structural Concrete Requirements for Buildings and Explanations (SNI 2847:2019) and the Earthquake Resistance Planning Procedures for Building and Non-Building Structures (SNI 1726:2019). The structural system is planned using a Moment Resisting Frame System, considering seismic forces in the design process. Given that the Seven-Storey Lecture Building falls under Seismic Design Category (KDS) D, the appropriate seismic force-resisting system employed is the Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SRPMK) to ensure structural integrity and earthquake resilience.
