Abstract

The low level of students' understanding of the concept of combined area of ​​flat shapes indicates the need for more interactive and concrete learning strategies. The purpose of this study was to improve the understanding of the concept of combined area of ​​flat shapes in grade V students of SDN Burengan 2 Kediri through the use of puzzle media. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method of the Kemmis and McTaggart model which was carried out in two cycles, with 28 students as subjects. The results showed an increase in learning completeness from 25% in the pre-cycle (average value of 71.1), to 53.6% in cycle I (average 74.2), and increased significantly to 89.3% in cycle II (average 80). The use of puzzle media has proven effective in improving students' understanding in a concrete, fun, and collaborative manner.

Abstract

Efforts to improve science learning outcomes with the help of Cardopoly Clue media were carried out because there were still 13 out of 24 students who had scores below 75 or the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP). The purpose of this study was to improve the science learning outcomes of grade 5 students of Pojok 1 Elementary School by implementing the TGT type cooperative model assisted by Cardopoly Clue media. The research method used was classroom action research in the form of four-stage cyclical learning, namely initial planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The learning outcomes of students in pre-cycle learning that reached KKTP were 11 out of 24 students or less than 50%. In cycle I, the number of students who received cognitive assessments or learning outcomes reached KKTP was 15 students with a classical completion percentage of 66.67%. The cognitive value or learning outcomes of all students increased with a classical completion percentage of 100% with a score of ≥ 80 in cycle II. The implementation of the TGT cooperative model assisted by Cardopoly Clue media has been proven to maximize the active involvement of students which results in increased science learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study is based on the results of observations that show that students' learning scores in science lessons about climate and its changes are still low. This study aims to improve learning outcomes at SDN Pojok 1 in science lessons on climate and its changes using interactive spinner media and using the Problem-Based Learning learning model. This study is PTK for grade IV students, with data from tests and observations analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The findings of this study indicate that learning outcomes related to conceptual understanding of 22 students who took the test, obtained a percentage of 72.72% completion rate in cycle 1 and 95.45% in 22 students in cycle II. It can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by spinner media has been proven to improve science learning outcomes. Therefore, the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by spinner media can be the right choice for teachers to make teaching and learning activities more diverse and interesting in the classroom.

Abstract

The role of teachers as the sole source of learning in learning has an impact on the low level of active student involvement, then their learning outcomes become low. Innovative learning is needed to overcome existing problems. The selection of the RADEC model and mini theater media is because each stage in the RADEC model can develop student activeness in learning Indonesian while the media is chosen to support learning as a means for students to easily understand concepts and develop their literacy skills. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of grade 3 students of SDN Pojok 1 Kediri in the Indonesian language subject, especially short story material, through the application of the RADEC learning model combined with mini theater media. This classroom action research adopts the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model, which consists of a cycle of planning, implementing actions, observation, and reflection as a series of continuous processes. Student learning outcomes always increase, namely in cycle 1 it was 61%, followed by a significant increase in cycle 2 of 96%. The findings of the study indicate that through the RADEC learning model and the presentation of mini theater media, student learning outcomes increased.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of low understanding of mathematical concepts indicated by low learning outcomes and student participation. To determine the activity and learning outcomes after the application of the QR Code-assisted RME approach to mathematics learning on flat shape material. This research is a PTK involving grade IV students as subjects. Data were collected through direct observation and assessment of learning outcomes, then analyzed using a quantitative descriptive approach. The findings of this study indicate that the implementation of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach with PANTAR learning media assisted by QR Code can increase student activity. Meanwhile, learning outcomes also increased, from 63.64 to 95.45%. The learning approach applied has been proven to increase participation and mathematics learning outcomes. Therefore, the use of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) with PANTAR media assisted by QR Code can be an effective choice for teachers to create more interesting and varied learning.

Abstract

Dietary patterns in children with ADHD must be selective because parents play an important role in their success. Therefore, children's growth and development depend on the consistency and dedication of parents. The purpose of this study was to determine the patterns and obstacles of the ADHD children's nutritional diet program carried out by parents so that this study can be a source of reference for parents and teachers of ADHD children who are undergoing a diet program. This study used qualitative techniques with interview methods. The findings of this study explain that the role of parents is very crucial in helping children understand the need to go on a diet and the efforts needed so that ADHD children consume food with ideal nutrition according to their needs regardless of the difficulties and failures experienced by parents. Parenting patterns at home in the success of the ADHD children's diet program are the main ones.

Abstract

The problem of students' democratic culture is often caused by the learning process that is still dominated by the teacher. This study aims to assess the extent to which the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method in Civics learning is effective in building students' democratic culture. The approach used in this research is classroom action research (PTK) using the Kemmis & Taggart model consisting of two cycles with two meetings, where each cycle goes through four stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The research sample was determined through purposive sampling technique, with class IX-A as the research object. Data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive percentage techniques in accordance with Civics learning outcomes. The results of hypothesis testing show that the application of PBL method in Civics learning has a positive influence on the development of students' democratic culture. This increase can be seen from the increase in each cycle, in terms of student participation experiencing an average increase of around 20%, an increase in student confidence in expressing opinions increased by 37.5%, and also mutual respect with an average increase of around 22.5%, meaning that this can be said to have met the specified target. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method in Civics learning has proven effective in building a culture of democracy in students.

Abstract

The background of this study is the low speaking ability (maharah kalam) of grade VIII students. Observations show that educators continue to use the lecture method in the Arabic language learning process which results in less than optimal student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to improve students' speaking ability by applying the Muhadatsah method with the Sifis Shuroh game. The research method is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Hopkins model. The research activities were carried out in two cycles, where each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected using a quantitative approach through calculating student grades and qualitatively through interviews, observations, and documentation data. The results of the study showed an increase in students' maharah kalam skills. At the pre-research stage, only 9 out of 32 students (28%) completed it, while 23 students (72%) had not completed it. After cycle I, the number of students who completed it increased to 14 people (43.75%), while those who had not completed it were 18 people (56.25%). A more significant increase occurred in cycle II, where 23 students (71.75%) managed to achieve completion, and only 9 students (28.25%) had not completed it. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Muhadatsah method through the Sifis Shuroh game.

Abstract

The teacher has given the smash technique in volleyball, but during the practice of playing, SMK Maospati students still continue to experience obstacles and barriers in the process of implementing the smash movement in the placement of arm muscles when hitting the ball and height. This causes low learning outcomes of smash in volleyball. Therefore, this study is intended to determine the relationship between arm muscle strength and height to the smash method in SMK Maospati students, Magetan Regency. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with correlation analysis techniques. The subjects of this study were students at SMK Maospati, Magetan Regency with a total of 12 students in Grades X and XI. The results are that there is a strong relationship between arm muscle strength and height to the ability of volleyball smashes in SMK Maospati students, Maospati District, Magetan Regency. These results confirm that to improve smash abilities, students must also be given an approach or training that focuses on the freshness and fitness of children, especially those related to the power of volleyball smashes.

Abstract

Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) learning is often considered abstract and less interesting by students, especially in understanding the concept of diversity within the framework of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Learning innovation is needed so that the material can be understood contextually and enjoyably. This study aims to implement a Game-Based Learning model based on domino cards to improve the understanding of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 5 Tarogong Kidul on the material of diversity within the framework of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method of the Dave Ebbutt model which is cyclical. The study was conducted in two cycles, each including the planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research instruments included observation, questionnaires, interviews, and comprehension tests. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the use of domino cards as a game-based learning medium can increase students' active involvement, critical thinking, and understanding of the values of diversity. The average understanding score increased from 78.9 in cycle I to 86.7 in cycle II. This means that implementing game-based learning using domino cards has proven effective in improving student understanding. This model aligns with the characteristics of active and kinesthetic students and supports meaningful and contextual PPKn learning.
