Abstract

This research aimed to investigate how the effect of make a match model on learning achievement of tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya regency. The method used was quasi experimental that comprised two sample classes as control class and experimental class. The sample were selected using purposive sampling. The result showed that: (1) the mean score of students"™ learning achievement before make a match method applied was 70,36 76 (KKM). It means the mean score of students"™ learning achievement was low, as its excess difference was 5,64 from KKM. The mean score of students"™ learning achievement after using make a match model was 80,85 76 (KKM). It means the mean score of students"™ learning achievement was quite high distinguish from the excess difference of the enhancement of students"™ learning achievement mean score as 4,85 ˃ 5,64 (control class learning achievement mean score). (2) there was an effect on students"™ learning achievement in sociology learning on the material"students"™ sosialization" of tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya, between the students who did not apply make a match method and the students who applied make a match methodas t-test Polled Varians obtainedthitung   4,59 and ttabel 0,104 with significant level (α) = 5% and dk = 60.   In conclusion, Ha was acceptable and Ho was rejected. (3) the effect of the use of make a match method on students"™ learning achievement of tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya on the material "students"™ sosialization" was 0,92 with high category.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the effort of Paguyuban Kristen Jawi Pontianak maintain collective consciousness, religious ties and social ties. The research used descriptive method and qualitative approach. The techniques of data collection were observation, interview and the study of documentation. The research instruments were the directive of observation, directive of interview, and the documentation tools. This research showed that collective consciousness of the gemeinschaft is already. There is effort done maintain the collective consciousness as for mutually coordinate and worship priority.  This religious tie of the gemeinschaft is good enough. There is effort done maintain the religious tie is get the religous vacation on specific moments that run every year. Social tie of the gemeinschaft was good. There is effort done maintain the social tie as run with instilling tolerance to gemeinschaft members and set the schedule activity and then run that as consistance.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the role of scout leader by planting organic solidarity, the method used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation study, data collection tools guide observation, interview, and documentation. The results of research through the moral sense, all team members observe the material provided scoutmaster, mutual trust, discussion or deliberation trying to receive opinions and always accept what the decision and is ready to accept criticism, accept feedback and criticism from the other members, through the emotional experience, the role of scoutmaster realized learners to always be able to hold back the emotion and not reckless, dare to give presumption that feels right and can be held responsible or what you do, do not break the rules set by senior and promised to anyone, including the tasks given in planting organic solidarity in SMA Negeri 1 Kayan Hulu.

Abstract

Menurut aliran pragmatisme hakikat dari realitas adalah segala sesuatu yang dialami oleh manusia. Ia berpendapat bahwa inti dari realitas adalah pengalaman yang dialami manusia. Ini yang kemudian menjadi penyebab bahwa pragmatisme lebih memperhatikan hal yang bersifat keaktualan sehingga berimplikasi pada penentuan nilai dan kebenaran. Dengan demikian nilai dan kebenaran dapat ditentukan dengan melihat realitas yang terjadi di lapangan dan tidak lagi melihat faktor-faktor lain misal dosa atau tidak. Hal ini senada dengan apa yang dikataka James, Dunia nyata adalah dunia pengalaman manusia. Apa fokus pendidikan kita sekarang. Secara umum, alam menjadi titik sentral pendidikan; alam menjadi tujuan. Manusia menjadi "budak" dari alam; ilmu, teknologi dan dan hal-hal yang bersifat pragmatis mengambil tempat paling penting. Pendidikan yang berpusat pada manusia semakin tersingkir. Ini tidak lepas dari sosok yang paling berpengaruh dalam dunia pendidikan, John Dewey. Ia tokoh pendidikan Amerika Serikat pada awal dan pertengahan abad ke-20 dan menggulirkan konsep pragmatisme. Dewey mengatakan bahwa pendidikan adalah penyesuaian pribadi yang bertumbuh terhadap lingkungannya (education is "adjusment of the growing personality to its environment). Ia membuat lingkungan menjadi pusat pendidikan. Bagi Dewey, manusia itu harus disesuaikan terhadap lingkungannya tanpa menyebut definisi "lingkungan" (environment) secara jelas".

Abstract

Di era global, budaya daerah sering kali terpinggirkan. Namun tatkala politik kepentingan muncul semisal Pilkada, budaya daerah atau local culture sering jadi perekat kekuatan kepentingan. Pelestarian budaya dan adaptasi budaya lokal atau daerah menjadi penting agar utuhan bangsa dapat dijaga, dan dapat terbebas dari politik kepentingan. Kajian dalam tulisan mengambil setting Kota Singkawang karena di kota ini selain di dominasi oleh etnis keturunan Tionghoa, juga terdapat etnis Melayu dan Dayak, serta Madura. Empat kelompok etnis ini pernah terlibat dalam konflik etnis. Pelestarian, akulturasi dan adaptasi budaya daerah khususnya di Kota Singkawang menjadi penting agar konflik yang mengatasnamakan etnis yang berlandaskan perbedaan budaya maupun agama dapat dihindarkan. Kata Kunci: Pelestarian, Akulturasi, Adaptasi Budaya.

Abstract

This research was aim to analyze cooperation of social interaction among peers in order to improve students’ motivation in study in sociology subject in class XI Social 1 of Muhammadiyah 2 Senior High School Pontianak. Method that was used in this research was qualitative approach. The result of data analyze showed that the form of cooperation of social interaction in XI Social 1 was variated which group 3 achieved the form of cooperation of social interaction in high level, group 5 achieved cooperation of social interaction in middle level, and group 6 achieved cooperation of social interaction in beginning level. The level of students’ motivation in study in class XI Social 1 was good enough. It showed by group 3 and 5 were achieved satisfied level and group 6 achieved confidence level. Cooperation of social interaction among peers which can grow students’ motivation in study in class XI social 1 whether group 3, 5, and 6 showed antusiasm act and happiness during learning process grouply. Keywords : Cooperation Of Social Interaction, Peers, Motivation Of Study.

Abstract

The title this research is "the role of sociology teacher in fostering learning motivation of class XI IIS students at SMAN 5 Pontianak". The pupose of this research is to understand teachers role as a motivator, director and faciliator in fostering learning motivation of class XI IIS students at SMAN 5 Pontianak. The method in this research is qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The techniques uset with obtain data in this research are observation, interview and documentation. The subjects of this research are one of the sociology teachers, Mrs uniek Prasetyaningrum and 6 students of XI IIS who have a low motivation in laerning. The result of this research shows that the role of sociology teacher are: (1) As a motivation, a teacher motivate students to study hard and gives warning to students. (2) teacher as a director has responsibility to make students discipline so they can learn well in classroom, monitoring, and controlling students behaviour so they will not break the rules in classroom. (3) teacher as facilitator has responsibility to provide facilities for students, like media in teaching learning process.

Abstract

This study would determine the implementation of character education of religious value by teacher in sociology learning in SMA YPK Pontianak and to find out the factors that influence the character education of religious values implementation in sociology learning in SMA YPK Pontianak. The method used in this study was descriptive method with qualitative approach. The data sources of the study were the students of grade X IIS and the sociology teacher of grade X IIS, interview and observation’s result. The results of this study showedthat the character education of religious value implementationin sociology learning involved greeting, praying before the class, the teacher implemented character education in the learning process by appreciating  diversity in religion, the teacher also taught about the religious dimensions, such individuals-to-individuals, individuals to God , individuals to environment relationships, religiousservices, praying after class. Factors that influence the implementation of the character education of religious values in SMA YPK Pontianak were the religious diversity and the inadequatefacilities of worship places.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah yang dihadapi pada saat ini dimana wabah corona virus disease 2019 (Covid-19) yang telah melanda 215 negara di dunia, memberikan tantangan tersendiri bagi lembaga pendidikan. Salah satu kebijakan yang dibuat oleh pemerintah yaitu kebijakan pembelajaran masih akan terus dilakukan dari rumah masing-masing (study from home). Masalah atau kendala baru mulai dialami orang tua, seperti kurangnya pemahaman materi oleh orang tua, tidak memiliki cukup waktu untuk mendampingi anak karena harus bekerja, kesulitan dalam mengoperasikan gadget, dan kendala jangkauan layanan internet, oleh karena itu perubahan membutuhkan waktu untuk bisa berjalan optimal. Sehingga sudah seharusnya keluarga atau orang tua memikirkan cara bagaimana anak-anaknya dapat belajar dengan baik dan lebih giat lagi di rumah. Dalam hal ini, diperlukan solusi yang lebih efektif dalam menjalankan peran keluarga untuk melaksanakan proses pembelajaran di rumah bagi anak sebagai upaya mendukung program pemerintah yaitu study from home. Dalam hal ini, upaya yang dilakukan supaya anak lebih giat belajar di rumah diantaranya yaitu menjadikan perasaan anak bahwa keluarga telah memahami keadaannya, mengerti keadaannya, bersahabat dengannya, berteman, berdiskusi apapun dibicarakan bersama sehingga anak merasa nyaman sekali berada di rumah serta perlu ditumbuhkan sikap apresiasi dari keluarga kepada anak atas capaian yang telah diperolehnya
