Abstract

The results of the long-term research are that the implementation of justice, equity and development for the community at the grassroots level in Indonesia through development policies is a functional organizational unit of the relevant Service Office which is given the responsibility to increase the degree of ethnic cultural ability in developing social personality specifically in the border area with Sarawak, East Malaysia, which in terms of culture, infrastructure, facilities and human resources are better. Impact for the long term, the results of this study can be used as a reference because the stakeholders provide the best guarantee to pay attention to the people who are supported by ethnic culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the existence of minimarkets Alfamart on the people of Sindangsari Village and for traditional stalls in Sindangsari village, what factor affect the changes in tradisional stalls, what strategies are carried out by traditional stalls to keep their businesses running and earning income. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive method. This research method will describe the problems and conditions after the existence of the minimarket Alfamart in Sindangsari village. Data collection methods used are observation, interview, and documentation. The data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. The results of this study explain that the existence of Alfamart has resulted in many changes, especially economic changes. The life of the Sindangsari Village community is not the same as usual, but there are many changes that occur starting with behavior, activity, lifestyle, and others. This certainly shifts the social system and the usability of the Sindangsari Village community. For traditional stalls, the existence of a minimarket Alfamart is a threat that can lead to a decline in their business, and the shop may even be closed due to losing competitiveness. The existence of a minimarket Alfamart makes traditional stalls have to struggle more with strategies of all kinds of ways to be done so that their business can continue to run and earn income to meet their daily needs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out that Pancasila values are a way of life for the Indonesian people in living life as citizens and also aim to explain that Pancasila values if we practice them will shape the personality and character needed to become good citizens. beneficial not only for himself but for the Indonesian nation. The method used in this research is a literature study in which the author examines the literature, notes, and reports related to the problems to be solved. The success of a nation in achieving its goals is proven by the quality of its human resources. Moreover, it is stated that "a strong nation can be seen from the quality or character of its people". The values contained in Pancasila are the original behavior and character of the former Indonesian nation. Making Pancasila a way of life for the Indonesian people to take actions according to Pancasila values in their daily lives. The experience of Pancasila in everyday life must be respected in order to create an orderly nation's life.

Abstract

This research is motivated by working parents, both parents work in the informal sector. Working parents are busy outside the home which can lead to a lack of communication between parents and children so that parents do not know about their child"™s development. The purpose of this study is to describe the parenting model of working parents on children"™s behavior. The approach used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The unit of analysis in this study is the family. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.

Abstract

Marriage according to Banjarese custom in Martapura, Banjar Regency is the business of all parties, both the bride and groom, but is the obligation of both parents, tengganai, formal leaders, and traditional leaders. In Banjar traditional marriage procedures, there is a bridal shower ritual ceremony. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the bridal shower ritual and the meaning contained in the ritual in the Banjar traditional wedding ceremony. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach. The results of the study found that the bridal shower ceremony aims to purify physically and spiritually because on the next day the bride and groom will carry out one of the sacred tasks in life in the world, namely undergoing marriage mahligai. The bridal shower only purifies the body, but the implied meaning is that the bride and groom are ready to purify themselves physically and mentally. As well as to fortify the bride and groom from various unwanted disturbances. The meaning contained in the bridal shower ritual is that a blessed life has the hope that in carrying out a relationship in the household, happiness is always given. Behaving well in pisit is symbolized by nyiur (coconut). Nyiur has the meaning of the tree of life which is very useful for others. The meaning of living together is symbolized by baras lakatan (glutinous rice) which means a form of hope for the safety of the bride and groom. Habang sugar has a sweet meaning and is red in color, the hope is that everything that is done always bears sweet fruit or has a meaning that the sugar can symbolize a beautiful life that is lived with his life partner. hintalu (egg) has the meaning of a symbol of life as a generational strength which is expected to have a strong future generation and always be useful for others.

Abstract

Illegal racing is a delinquency that often occurs in the community, and is very disturbing in the community, of course efforts are needed to overcome this delinquency, it can be done by the nagari government, because it is the main authorized institution in society. The purpose of the research is that the Nagari Government can make efforts to deal with illegal racing in Nagari Parit Malintang, Six Lingkung District, Padang Pariaman Regency. The theory used in this research is the Structural Functional Theory proposed by Talcott Parsons. The research was conducted in Nagari Parit Malintang, Enam Lingkung District, Padang Pariaman Regency. This research used qualitative research methods with descriptive research type. The withdrawal of informants was carried out by purposive sampling technique. The data collection method in this study began with observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies. Data analysis techniques in research can be carried out in several stages, namely, data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that there have been efforts made by the nagari in overcoming the illegal racing that occurred including: 1) Providing socialization or counseling to the community. 2) Conducting patrols or raids and 3) Guarding the location where the illegal race took place.

Abstract

Developments that occur in various fields of life such as information and communication technology, analysis of various social media that attract teenagers to see and apply them. However, the influence of technological advances in addition to having a positive impact also has a negative impact on adolescent morale. There is a moral decline in adolescents, such as being involved in drug use, fighting, fraud, theft, free sex, intolerance, and so on. This is very concerning because adolescents are the next generation of the nation's struggle. This phenomenon is quite unsettling for the community and must receive attention and cooperation from parents and schools as well as the community. The purpose of this paper is to determine the efforts to develop values/morals in adolescents through the family as the smallest unit in society in socializing the values and norms that apply in society. A harmonious family, mutual respect, openness, positive communication, and there is love, so the socialization process of values and norms will be conveyed to children/adolescents well. In addition, efforts to foster moral values in children are carried out at school. Schools are conducive, there is mutual respect, so the transinformation of moral values can be accepted by students well. This effort is made to prevent the decline of adolescent morale so that youthful behavior is morally noble and beneficial to social life.

Abstract

Information on a culture needs to be written in an international language, like English language, to make it well known internationally. Such reading materials would also have positive impact in the educational and cultural diplomacy. This article argues on the importance of the internationalization of Kalimantan Barat culture and recommends a research procedure to develop materials on Malay sultanates and palaces in Kalimantan Barat as English extensive reading sources for younger generations.   There are three foci of activity that are suggested here, namely: need analyses, designing and developing, and evaluation. The presence of such products would facilitate the local younger generations learn their cultures and English language simultaneously through extensive reading activities. The presence of confirmable materials would help reduce information bias and misunderstanding about the history and the culture. - Through extensively reading local materials that are written in English, it is expexted that the younger generations would be able to communicate their local culture and history nationally and internationally.

Abstract

In 2020, Sambas will have 52.538 people and 13 school units. Every year the population in Sambas District is always increasing, which can cause an imbalance in the population with the availability of facilities. This research aims to (1) Find out the capacity of secondary schools for the opportunity to school for residents in Sambas, (2) Find out the rate of population growth, (3) Find out the factor that affects population growth, and (4) Find out the population in 2030. This research used descriptive quantitative approach methods. The research data source used is public documentation obtained from government agencies. Overall, educational facilities in Sambas District can accommodate the entire school-age population regarding the number of schools, the number of teachers, and the number of classes. The opportunity for the community to obtain education in Sambas is indicated by the Gross Enrollment Rate (GER) indicator of 165.6% and Net Enrollment Rate (NER) of 95,9%. Population growth in Sambas has a medium classification level with a growth rate of 1,72%.   Population growth in Sambas is influenced by the birth factor, which has increased by 42.6% in ten years. In 2030, the population is estimated as 62,420 people, with a secondary school age of 2,236 people. Overall, the educational facilities available today can accommodate the entire population ten years later.
