Abstract

This study examines the role of Facebook as a public communication medium utilized by the Department of Communication and Informatics of Sikka Regency. The research aims to analyze how the social media platform is employed to disseminate information, foster interaction with the public, and enhance transparency and accountability of local government. Using a qualitative approach, the study collects data through in-depth interviews, observation, and content analysis. The findings reveal that Facebook serves as an effective tool for public information dissemination, fostering two-way communication, and increasing public participation. However, challenges such as technological infrastructure limitations and low digital literacy need to be addressed to optimize the use of this social media platform. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of product quality and price on purchasing decisions for Skintific skincare. This study uses descriptive quantitative research explaining that this method is based on the philosophy of positivism, used in examining samples and research populations using Non-Probability Sampling with Convenience Sampling techniques. The research population is people in Medan City who use or have used Skintific skincare products. This sample was obtained as many as 96 respondents. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The data analysis used in this study used multiple linear regression with the help of the SPSS 26.0 software program. Partial hypothesis testing shows that the product quality variable has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions with a sig value. 0.000 <0.05 and the tcount value is 3.621> t table 1.986. Then for the price variable, it has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions with sig. 0.005 <0.05 and the t count value is 2.870> t table 1.986. While simultaneously showing that product quality and price both have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions with a sig value. 0.000 <0.05 and the value of fcount 39.022> ftable 3.09.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Transformational Leadership, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior at PT Syaukath Sejahtera Gandapura. The independent variables in this study are Transformational Leadership, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment, while the dependent variable is Organizational Citizenship Behavior. This type of research uses a quantitative method, data collection using a questionnaire containing questions and statements by distributing it to the employees concerned at PT Syaukath Sejahtera Gandapura. The scoring technique uses a Likert scale. This research was conducted at PT Syaukath Sejahtera with 116 respondents, where the sampling in this study used saturated samples, where all populations were sampled so that the number of samples in this study was 116 respondents. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Science) program. The results of this study indicate that transformational leadership and organizational commitment do not affect Organizational Citizenship Behavior at PT Syaukath Sejahtera Gandapura, while the job satisfaction variable has a negative and significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior at PT Syaukath Sejahtera Gandapura. The better the transformational leadership and organizational commitment in a company, the more it will increase the Organizational Citizenship Behavior or extra-role behavior of employees, thereby increasing employee performance.

Abstract

This research conducted on STIE Bina Karya Tebing Tinggi students, it can be concluded that the influence of perceptions about security and speed in digital wallet applications greatly influences digital wallets and plays an important role in increasing user adoption and loyalty, as well as influencing the success of digital wallets in market. Consumer perception of the level of security offered by digital wallets is also very important. When consumers feel that their transactions are safe and personal data is protected, they tend to be more trusting and loyal to the digital wallet service.

Abstract

The issuance of Job Seeker Card (AK 1) is one of the services provided by the Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) of Sikka Regency to help residents who are looking for work. This study aims to analyze public service communication implemented by Disnakertrans in the process of making AK 1. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques and participatory observation. The results of the study indicate that communication between officers and job seekers still faces obstacles in terms of clarity of information and procedures. However, most job seekers are satisfied with the responsiveness and friendly attitude of the officers. The conclusion of this study is that improving clearer and more efficient communication will improve the quality of public services at Disnakertrans of Sikka Regency. This study provides important implications related to the management of public service communication in the context of local government.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership and employee loyalty on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable in the Stabat Regent's Office, Langkat Regency, north Sumatra. This research used a quantified qualitative method with a population of 122 people and the entire population was used as a sample. The data collection technique uses primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires directly to 122 Regent's Office employees. The measurement instrument for this research uses a Likert scale. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis, path analysis and mediation effect test (Sobel Test) using SPSS version 26 software. The results of this research show that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Employee loyalty has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Employee loyalty has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Then job satisfaction is able to mediate the influence of transformational leadership on employee performance so that it can be concluded that there is a partial mediation relationship. And job satisfaction is able to mediate the influence of employee loyalty on employee performance so that it can be concluded that there is a trial mediation relationship.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the Influence of Transformational and Transactional Leadership on Employee Performance Through Organizational Commitment as an Intervening Variable in Several Health Centers in Southwest Aceh Regency. This type of research uses a quantitative method, data collection using a questionnaire containing questions and statements by distributing it to the employees concerned at the Health Centers in Southwest Aceh Regency. This research was conducted at 3 Health Centers in Southwest Aceh Regency, namely Alue Sungai Pinang, Alue Pisang and Babahrot Health Centers. The population in this study were employees of the Health Centers in Southwest Aceh Regency totaling 173 employees. While the number of samples in this study was 64 employees. The data analysis method used was path analysis and was processed with the help of the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) application program. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of transformational and transactional leadership on organizational commitment and there was also an influence of transformational, transactional and organizational commitment leadership on the performance of employees of the Health Centers in Southwest Aceh Regency. Furthermore, the research results found that the organizational commitment variable fully mediates (full mediation) the relationship between transformational leadership and the performance of employees at the Southwest Aceh District Health Center and the organizational commitment variable directly mediates (partial mediation) the relationship between transactional leadership and the performance of employees at the Southwest Aceh District Health Center.

Abstract

The government prioritizes increasing the production of rice and maize as staples and raw materials for the animal feed industry. Maize (Zea Mays L.), the second major source of carbohydrates after rice, continues to increase in use as food and animal feed in Indonesia. Increased maize production is needed through land expansion and increased productivity to meet growing market demand. The research was conducted in Kota Bahagia Subdistrict, South Aceh District, the research began in August to September 2023 with a population of 1,450 farmers, with a sample of 94 corn farmers in Kota Bahagia Subdistrict, South Aceh. The results showed that the average income of maize farmers was IDR 17,758,435.36 per growing season, which is above the local poverty line. Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C Ratio) and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis amounted to 2.36 and 135.60%, respectively, indicating efficient use of capital and significant profits. The Break Even Point (BEP) of production and selling price of 3,274.08 kg per period and IDR 1,697.80 per kg indicate that the farm is profitable.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence (EI) plays a pivotal role in effective leadership, enabling leaders to manage their emotions, understand others, and navigate complex social environments. This paper examines the psychological foundations of emotional intelligence, exploring its components self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills and how these contribute to leadership effectiveness. By integrating insights from cognitive psychology, social intelligence theory, and neuroscience, the paper highlights how EI enhances decision-making, conflict resolution, communication, and motivation. The research underscores the importance of emotional intelligence in leadership development and organizational success, demonstrating that EI is essential for leaders to adapt, inspire, and drive positive change within their teams and organizations.

Abstract

The effect of serial image media on students' ability to write narrative essays on thematic learning modeling. Sitti Aminah, Bumi Persada University. Writing is a form of manifestation of language abilities and skills most recently mastered by students. Serial image media used in writing narrative essays is a series of images arranged chronologically. This research was conducted using quantitative methods with a pseudo-experimental approach. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether the ability to write narrative essays of seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Samudra is good. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of using serial picture media on the ability of seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Samudra in writing narrative essay. This research was conducted using observation, interview, and test techniques at the end of the lesson. Based on the results of observations and the research process that researchers carry out, it is known that the ability of students in writing narrative essays is very low due to the absence of media or learning methods used in the learning process. This is due to the absence of knowledge of learning development by educators at the school. The results showed the influence of serial image media in the learning process in the experimental class. So that students' ability to relate other learning to write narrative essays increases. In conclusion, learning media determines the success and improves children's cognitive abilities.
