Abstract

This study discusses a comprehensive analysis of the choral work "Let Everything That Breathes Praise the Lord" created by Levinson Simaela, focusing on its musical structure, harmony, and performative potential. This song was inspired by Psalm 150 and became a mandatory song at the Church Choir Festival (PESPARAWI) of SMGT (Toraja Church Sunday School) throughout the East Makassar Classis in 2022.This work is a silent witness to the victory of the SMGT Satria Kasih Makassar Children's Choir at the event. Researcheras the creator of this work, I intend to identify the compositional elements in the score, explore the performance implications of the existing notation, and examine the inclusion of Torajan nuances through the use of local language lyrics and Torajan drum accompaniment. The use of Torajan lyrics and specific directions for traditional instruments such as the Torajan drum demonstrate an effort to integrate local cultural richness into church music.Using qualitative descriptive methods of formal music analysis supported by ethnographic review, this study examines how the components of melody, rhythm, and harmony interact to shape the overall work. In addition, this article discusses how the tempo direction, dynamics, and "(Sambil Menari)" instructions in the score can influence interpretation and presentation on stage. The incorporation of Torajan lyrics and the option of Torajan drum accompaniment are important points in understanding how this work inculturates regional cultural values into expressions of church praise. The findings of this study are expected to provide a deeper understanding of adaptive choral composition practices, as well as the contribution of music to enriching spiritual culture in Indonesia.

Abstract

UV-Visible spectrophotometry (UV-Vis) is one of the most widely used instrumental analytical methods in the fields of pharmacy, food science, and analytical chemistry, particularly for determining the concentration of active compounds in various types of samples. The working principle of UV-Vis spectrophotometry is based on the ability of a compound to absorb light at a specific wavelength, resulting in an absorbance value proportional to the concentration of the substance in solution. This method is considered efficient due to its relatively simple operation, short analysis time, and lower cost compared to other instrumental methods such as HPLC, AAS, or GC-MS. In addition, UV-Vis spectrophotometry can be applied to a wide range of compounds containing chromophoric groups, making it suitable for analyzing herbal products that consist of complex natural matrices. This study aims to review the application of UV-Vis spectrophotometry in the analysis of active compounds in herbal products through a literature review of ten relevant and recent scientific journals. Based on the results of the review, it was found that UV-Vis spectrophotometry is widely used to analyze compounds such as flavonoids, vitamin C, caffeine, paracetamol, and oxalates derived from natural sources such as tea, fruits, vegetables, as well as traditional herbal preparations such as jamu and supplements. In addition, this method is also applied in solubility studies of active compounds within drug delivery systems such as Self-Nanoemulsifying Drug Delivery Systems (SNEDDS), analytical method validation, and evaluation of compound stability in final formulations. Several studies also demonstrated the ability of UV-Vis spectrophotometry to detect the presence of synthetic contaminants in herbal products quickly and simply. From the overall findings, it can be concluded that UV-Vis spectrophotometry plays a significant role in the development, formulation, and quality testing of herbal-based products. This method is not only practical and efficient but also capable of producing reliable quantitative data that can be applied in various research and industrial contexts.

Abstract

Vocational schools as vocational education institutions are expected to be able to organize practical learning processes that are relevant to the business world and the industrial world (DUDI). One of the approaches that is now developing in bridging the gap between the world of education and industry is the implementation of the Teaching Factory (TeFa). It is important to examine effective curriculum management with a block system to support Teaching Factory learning optimally. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data was obtained by interviews, observations, and documentation collection. Data collection techniques use interviews, document checks, and observations. The research site of SMKN 1 Sangatta Utara in June 2025. Data collection techniques with purposing sampling techniques with respondents principals, vice principals in the field of curriculum and all heads of expertise competencies. The analysis used the interactive analysis model of Miles and Huberman (1984) which included the first stage of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The validity of the research results is triangulated, namely comparing the results of several data collection techniques. The results of the research are curriculum management planning with the Block system learning schedule at SMKN 1 Sangatta carried out in grades X and XI, class XII is not applied to the Block system because it is more focused on preparing for the Final Assessment of Education Units and USK. The organization of curriculum management with the responsibility of the principal, coordinated by the vice principal for curriculum and assisted by curriculum staff, daily picket teachers, heads of expertise competencies and report operators. The implementation of the block system learning schedule is effective in improving TeFa learning in class XI, for X it has not been effective because it is still the basic skill competency that has not yet been targeted for the production of goods/services. Class XII is also ineffective as a block system learning schedule because it focuses on preparing for the Final Assessment of the Education Unit and the Competency Certification Test. Supervision of the block system learning schedule carried out by picket teachers, deputy principals for curriculum and school principals is not effective because some daily picket teachers do not really go around the classroom.

Abstract

In the era of rapid technological advancement, integrating deep learning frameworks into schools is increasingly seen as a catalyst for cultivating innovation-driven students. This study explores how deep learning—particularly tools such as TensorFlow and Keras—is being utilized within the Indonesian school transformation agenda to support the development of future innovators. Using a qualitative approach, data were gathered through interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis involving teachers, school leaders, and education experts from various digital-ready and underserved schools. The study revealed three key themes: pedagogical innovation through AI, implementation challenges, and shifts in innovation culture. Deep learning was found to enhance interdisciplinary, project-based learning and student agency, yet its success depended heavily on infrastructure, teacher competence, and visionary leadership. While urban schools showed promising practices, rural contexts faced persistent barriers. These findings highlight that the true transformative potential of deep learning lies not only in its technical application but in the socio-pedagogical ecosystems that support it. The study calls for balanced investment in both technology and human capital to position schools as innovation incubators for Indonesia’s AI-powered future.
