Abstract

This study discusses the effect of e-Filing service quality on taxpayer satisfaction at KPP Pratama Medan Belawan. The author identified problems in service that need to be improved, especially through improving the quality of employees, infrastructure, and technology. These improvements aim to make it easier for taxpayers to carry out their obligations. The method used in this study is quantitative with a correlational approach. In this study, the theory used as the basis is the ServQual theory by Zeithaml et al regarding the quality of e-filing services, as well as the theory put forward by Mohamed regarding taxpayer satisfaction. The population studied included all taxpayers in Medan Belawan District who utilized e-Filing services, with a sample size of 96 people. Data analysis was carried out using simple linear regression analysis (t-test) with the help of SPSS version 22 software, to determine the extent to which the quality of e-Filing services influences taxpayer satisfaction in submitting annual tax returns. The results of the study indicate that the quality of e-Filing services has a significant effect on taxpayer satisfaction. This is evidenced by the results of the partial test (t-test), where the Sig. value. obtained (6.808>1.984) at a significance level of 0.05. In addition, the results of the determination coefficient test (R²) showed a value of 0.323 (32.3%), which means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted while the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Thus, e-Filing services at KPP Pratama Medan Belawan must continue to be improved so that taxpayers increasingly trust the electronic taxation system and can increase their satisfaction in submitting Annual Tax Returns.

Abstract

Responsiveness is one of the important indicators in public services that reflects the ability and alertness of the apparatus or officers in responding to the needs, complaints, and expectations of the community as service users. This study aims to determine the responsiveness of services to inpatients at the Lama Public Health Center, Bilah Hilir District and to find out what obstacles are faced by inpatients at the Lama Public Health Center. This study was motivated by the many complaints from the community regarding slow services, unfriendly attitudes of officers, and the service process that takes quite a long time. The focus of this study discusses the responsiveness of services to inpatients at the Lama Public Health Center, Bilah Hilir District, which includes aspects of responding, speed and accuracy of service, and discussing the inhibiting factors that occur in the service process for inpatients at the Lama Public Health Center. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are carried out through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the services provided by the Lama Public Health Center are still not fully responsive to patient needs. There are several major obstacles, such as limited medical personnel, ineffective manual queuing system, lack of training on excellent service, and the absence of a structured complaint system. These factors cause delays in service and reduce the level of public satisfaction. Responsiveness indicators such as speed, accuracy, and the ability of officers to respond to complaints have not been optimally met. Therefore, it is necessary to make comprehensive improvements to the Puskesmas service system. Suggestions from this study are the addition and equalization of medical personnel, digitization of service and administration systems, HR training in communication and service ethics, optimization of triage systems and priority routes, improvement of medical facilities and infrastructure, especially in first-level service facilities such as Puskesmas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of profitability, company age, and financial distress on the timeliness of the publication of audited financial statements in property and real estate sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2022 period. The sample was determined by the purposive sampling method, so that 19 companies were obtained as research samples. The analysis method used was multiple linear regression with the help of EViews version 12 software. The results of the study show that partially, the variables of profitability and company age do not have a significant effect on the timeliness of financial report publication. On the other hand, financial distress has been proven to have a significant effect on the timeliness of the publication of audited financial statements. Simultaneously, the three independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variables. A determination coefficient value (R²) of 0.81 indicates that 81% of the variation in the timeliness of financial statement publication can be explained by profitability, company age, and financial distress, while the remaining 19% is explained by other variables outside the model. These findings provide implications for company management and regulators in improving the transparency and accountability of financial reporting in the property and real estate sectors.

Abstract

Electronic Implementation of Development Planning Deliberation in Gampong Cot Trieng, Muara Satu District, Lhokseumawe City is a digital innovation aimed at improving the quality of development planning in the village through community participation and transparency based on information technology. However, in practice, this system has not run optimally. This study aims to describe the implementation of E-Musrenbang in Gampong Cot Trieng, Muara Satu District, as seen through community participation, information transparency, and effectiveness. This study uses a qualitative approach using primary and secondary data sources with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. This study was analyzed using George C. Edwards III's policy implementation theory which includes four main variables: communication, resources, implementer disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The results of the study indicate that in terms of participation, the community has not been directly involved due to limited access to the system. In terms of transparency, there is no open information regarding Musrenbang proposals and results. Meanwhile, in terms of effectiveness, the shift from manual to digital systems shows positive progress, but the overall utilization of the system still needs to be improved. These obstacles are reinforced by weak communication, limited infrastructure and human resources, the commitment of village officials is good but still constrained by technical and team support, and the bureaucratic structure that supports the system in an integrated manner is not yet optimal. Improvement efforts are needed in various aspects so that the implementation of E-Musrenbang can truly encourage participatory, transparent and effective development planning.

Abstract

Lake Toba, as a super-priority destination in Indonesia, has tremendous tourism potential. The development of community-based tourism (CBT) is a key strategy to ensure that its benefits are felt directly by the local community. However, its implementation in Toba Regency still faces significant challenges, including economic disparities, suboptimal community empowerment, and environmental sustainability issues, so that there is a gap between expectations and the reality received by the community. This study aims to examine in depth the development of Community Based Tourism in Toba Regency. The focus of the study is twofold: first, identifying social and economic programs that have been running; second, analyzing the main factors that hinder the effectiveness of tourism development. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants from the Lake Toba Authority Implementing Agency, local government, community, and tourists, who were selected through purposive and accidental sampling techniques. Data were also obtained from observations and documentation studies, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that social programs (craft training, guides, homestays) and economic programs (business groups, capital facilitation) have been running, but their reach and benefits are not evenly distributed. The main obstacle identified is the deficit of social capital, which is characterized by low trust and cohesion between residents, and weak coordination between stakeholders. In addition, limited capacity and technical skills of the community in tourism business management are also significant obstacles. Optimizing the potential of Lake Toba requires a more integrated approach.

Abstract

This study examines the development of a palm oil mill in a densely populated area such as Pulo Padang Village, which has created complex dynamics related to environmental politics and social conflict. This study aims to evaluate the impact of development on society and the environment, as well as the resolution process. A qualitative approach method was used with interview, observation, and documentation techniques for residents, the government, and the company. The results show that the conflict is rooted in a lack of transparency, minimal community participation, and ecological impacts that are detrimental to the surrounding community. The government needs to strengthen regulations and actively involve the community to achieve equitable sustainable development. These findings emphasize the importance of an inclusive approach, constructive negotiation, and the application of environmental justice principles to reduce conflict and improve socio-ecological sustainability.

Abstract

The high demand for fuel oil (BBM) in Indonesia, which is dominated by the transportation sector, encourages Shell gas stations to innovate in their services and product quality. Although Shell gas stations are known for their good reputation, fuel quality issues at Pertamina gas stations, such as adulteration, have made many customers switch to Shell. This study shows that customers are increasingly considering fuel quality and customer service in choosing gas stations, and the challenges faced in the Shell Go+ loyalty program are important factors in retaining customers in a competitive market. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of brand image and customer experience on customer loyalty with customer satisfaction as an intervening variable at Shell gas stations in Jakarta City. The sample in this study were people in Jakarta City who had purchased and used Shell fuel at least 2 times a month. The sampling technique in this study was the accidental sampling technique with 110 respondents. The data analysis method used Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that Brand Image had a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty and Customer Satisfaction. Meanwhile, Customer Experience has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty and Customer Satisfaction. Finally, Customer Satisfaction has a significant effect in mediating the relationship between Brand Image and Customer Experience on Customer Loyalty.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information and communication technology has fundamentally transformed how organizations manage their data resources. In today's digital era, data is no longer considered a mere supporting element but a strategic asset that determines organizational competitiveness and sustainability. Management Information Systems (MIS), when integrated with cloud computing technology, offers a modern solution to optimize data collection, storage, processing, and analysis in real-time. This study aims to examine the role of MIS in optimizing data resources through a qualitative literature review approach. The findings indicate that cloud-based MIS enhances operational efficiency, reduces infrastructure costs, facilitates cross-functional collaboration, and strengthens data-driven decision-making. Moreover, this integration supports small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and government institutions by providing affordable and scalable systems. Nevertheless, issues related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance remain critical challenges that must be addressed through strict data protection policies. This study recommends that organizations develop a cloud-based digital transformation strategy aligned with long-term MIS planning. Further research is suggested to empirically evaluate the effectiveness of cloud-based MIS implementation across various industrial sectors
