However, what the researcher observed during school observations indicates that students have been engaging in literacy. This raises the researcher's concern about the role of teachers in fostering Qur'anic literacy at Madrasah Diniyah Tarbiyatulhidayah. The issue raised in this research is about the role of teachers in improving students' Qur'anic literacy. The objective of this research is to understand the role of teachers in enhancing students' Qur'anic literacy. The method used in this research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The sources of data used are primary and secondary data. And the collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. After conducting the research, it was found that there are several roles used by teachers in improving Quran literacy. The roles of the teacher used include the role of the teacher as a facilitator, as a guide, as an educator, a motivator, and an evaluator. In improving literacy, teachers provide adequate facilities in terms of place and time, encourage students to habitually read several surahs from the Qur'an at the beginning of each lesson, offer special guidance with additional time and materials related to the Qur'an for students both individually and in groups, and provide extra training for some students who have difficulty in literacy of the Qur'an.

Abstract

This study set out to explore whether watching the English learning vlog "Bob the Canadian" made a significant difference in students' vocabulary development compared to those who didn’t use it. The research looked at four main aspects of vocabulary: word form, pronunciation, meaning, and usage in descriptive texts. Using a quasi-experimental design, the study involved two seventh-grade classes with a total of 65 students, split into an experimental group and a control group. To track vocabulary progress, both groups took pre-tests and post-tests. The results, analyzed using paired and independent t-tests via SPSS version 26, showed a post-test score gap of 14.384 between the groups, with a standard error of 2.701. The significance level was 0.000—well below the 0.005 cutoff—indicating strong statistical evidence. Based on the findings, the alternative hypothesis was supported, while the null hypothesis was set aside. In short, the findings show that using the vlog helped improve students' vocabulary skills.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of Quranic memorization on the academic achievement of twelfth-grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Hidayatul Qur’an, Puding Besar. Using an associative quantitative approach with simple linear regression analysis, data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation of semester grades. The findings indicate a significant positive relationship between the intensity of Quranic memorization and students’ academic performance, with a contribution rate of 40%. Statistical analysis shows that the calculated t-value (4.758) exceeds the critical value (2.034), supporting the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. These results suggest that Quranic memorization is a key factor in enhancing academic achievement. The study offers practical recommendations for Islamic educational institutions to strengthen tahfidz programs as an integral part of the formal curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Think Pair Share type of Cooperative Learning model and its impact on improving students' understanding in Islamic Religious Education at SMP Negeri 1 Airgegas. The background of this research is the low level of students’ comprehension of Islamic Religious Education material, which is attributed to the use of monotonous and passive teaching methods. The research employs a quantitative approach, involving two sample classes: an experimental class applying the Think Pair Share model and a control class using conventional teaching methods. The implementation of the TPS model in the experimental class was carried out through three stages: think (individual reflection), pair (discussion in pairs), and share (sharing discussion results with the class). The research instruments used were pre-tests and post-tests to measure students' understanding before and after the treatment. The Wilcoxon test results for the experimental group showed a significant improvement between pre-test and post-test scores, indicating that the TPS model effectively enhanced students’ comprehension. Furthermore, the Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference between the post-test scores of the experimental and control groups, suggesting that students taught using the TPS model achieved a higher level of understanding compared to those taught with conventional methods

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of high school dropout rates among adolescents in the Rambak area, Jelitik Village, Sungailiat District, which coincides with their low religious awareness. Adolescents who drop out of school are often involved in negative behaviors such as unemployment, promiscuity, and a lack of religious practice. Although various religious activities are held in the community, the participation of adolescents in these activities remains limited. The purpose of this study is to describe the religious condition of school dropouts and to identify the factors that contribute to their decision to not continue their education. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study involved 8 school dropouts, their parents, religious leaders, and community members as informants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion techniques. The results of the study revealed that the religious dimensions of the school dropouts in Rambak consist of five aspects: ideological, ritualistic, experiential, intellectual, and consequential. Although they acknowledge religious teachings, their religious practices and knowledge remain low, and their religiosity does not significantly influence their behavior. The factors contributing to their decision to drop out of school include economic problems, lack of parental attention, low interest in education, and environmental influences.

Abstract

This research aims to explore teachers' and students' perceptions of multicultural education at SD Inpres 17 Sorong Regency, an elementary school that has a diversity of religious, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The research uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach for one semester or around three months, with a focus on increasing understanding and application of multicultural education. General research results show that teachers generally have a positive perception of multicultural education because they are considered capable of creating an inclusive and harmonious school environment. However, some teachers still need additional training to integrate multicultural values into learning. Students also show an open and positive attitude, and feel more appreciated and understand the importance of cultural diversity. Multicultural education has been proven to encourage social interaction between students across backgrounds and strengthen attitudes of tolerance. However, there are still challenges in its implementation, such as limited resources, varying teacher understanding, social stereotypes, and the influence of the environment outside the school. Overall, multicultural education at Elementary School of Inpres 17 has a positive impact in fostering inclusive attitudes and mutual respect between students.

Abstract

This study developed an adaptive curriculum based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) for the Information Technology Study Program at UIN Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan. The curriculum redesign aimed to directly align Course Learning Outcomes (CPMK) with Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL), structured progressively across semesters to support competency formation through conceptual understanding, laboratory practice, and project-based assignments. Internal document analysis and academic discussions revealed gaps in vertical and horizontal alignment among learning outcomes, particularly in core areas such as programming, systems analysis, and digital business. The revised curriculum integrates project-based learning into at least 60% of core courses and embeds Islamic ethical values and local contexts into the learning design. Validation conducted by internal faculty teams confirmed that the curriculum is feasible and that the course mapping is relevant. The results indicate that a transparent and reflective internal process supported by institutional documentation can produce a curriculum that is responsive to the digital transformation era, even without involving external experts or alumni surveys. These findings provide practical implications for curriculum policy in Islamic higher education institutions and open opportunities for further research to assess the long-term impact of OBE implementation on graduate outcomes
