Abstract

Indonesian Migrant Workers (BMI) in Hong Kong, particularly those working in the domestic sector, face multidimensional challenges regarding work-life balance (WLB) and occupational health. Observations at the International Indonesia School Hong Kong (IISHK) reveal that many workers endure excessive working hours, reaching up to 21 hours per day, compounded by a lack of private space and social isolation. These conditions lead to severe physical and psychological exhaustion. This community service activity aims to introduce simple technological innovations as a solution to empower migrant workers. The method employed was a participatory workshop via Zoom Meeting, focusing on digital literacy for health management and legal advocacy. The results showed a significant shift in participants' behavior; they began utilizing health tracking applications and digital reminders to manage rest periods effectively. Furthermore, the program successfully established a digital peer-support system, which reduced feelings of isolation and increased workers' self-confidence in negotiating their rights. Technology, in this context, serves not only as a communication tool but as a vital instrument for achieving WLB and ensuring the well-being of migrant workers.

Abstract

Curug Sawer, also known as Curug Sawer, is one of the natural tourism destinations located in Nembol Village, Mandalawangi Subdistrict, Pandeglang Regency. This tourist attraction offers natural waterfalls, rivers, mountainous scenery, camping areas, and supporting recreational facilities. However, the potential of Curug Sawer has not been optimally managed, especially as an educational-based nature tourism destination. Problems identified include limited community capacity in tourism management, lack of educational tourism concepts, minimal environmental awareness, and underutilized local resources. This community service activity aims to optimize Curug Sawer as an educational and recreational nature tourism destination through community empowerment, environmental education, and tourism management assistance. The methods used include socialization, training, mentoring, and participatory activities involving local communities, youth groups, and tourism awareness groups. The results of this activity show increased community understanding of sustainable tourism, improved environmental awareness, and strengthened local participation in tourism management. This program is expected to support the development of Curug Sawer as a sustainable educational tourism destination and improve community welfare.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance business sustainability through simple financial management assistance for Juragan Pisang Kembung Coklat Keju MSME in Serang City. Many micro and small enterprises face sustainability challenges due to weak financial management practices, including the absence of systematic cash flow records and the mixing of personal and business finances. This program was conducted using a participatory and practical approach over one month in December 2025. The activities included initial observation, delivery of simple financial management materials, hands-on practice of daily cash flow recording and basic profit–loss calculation, as well as continuous mentoring and evaluation. The results show an improvement in participants’ understanding of financial management concepts and a positive change in managerial behavior, particularly in routine financial recording and cost control. Abstract

This community service program was carried out at Pesantren Tahfidz RH La Tahzan, targeting early-age santri (students). The main objective was to equip them with basic leadership skills through the introduction of simple accounting using a Cash Book. The santri were introduced to easy-to-understand financial recording concepts, enabling them to manage small activities independently and responsibly. The implementation methods included lectures, hands-on practice in recording simple transactions, and group simulations of cash management. The results showed that the santri not only understood the fundamentals of accounting but also began to develop discipline, transparency, and responsibility as future leaders. This program is expected to serve as an initial step in shaping leadership character based on financial literacy within the pesantren environment, while also contributing to strengthening non-formal education relevant to the santri’s future needs.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the ability of the owner of “Emping Bu-Mulyati” microenterprise to prepare and use a production cost budget as a tool for cost control and for setting a more rational selling price of melinjo chips. The program was motivated by the absence of proper financial records, cost of goods manufactured that was still based on rough estimates, and the mixture of business and household finances which made it difficult to measure profit accurately. The method used was a participatory mentoring approach through several stages, namely initial survey and diagnosis, training on production cost classification and budget format, hands-on practice in preparing multi-stage production cost budgets, analysis and decision-making simulations, as well as evaluation and sustainability commitment. The results indicate an improvement in the partner’s understanding of production cost structure (materials, labour, and overhead), the completion of a set of melinjo chips production cost budget documents per period, the ability to calculate unit cost of goods more systematically, and the emergence of new habits in recording cash inflows and outflows and separating business from personal finances. This mentoring program is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of Emping Bu-Mulyati through better cost control and data-based pricing

Abstract

Village agricultural independence is an important factor in supporting food security and improving community welfare. However, limited access to superior seeds and a lack of knowledge in nursery techniques remain major obstacles faced by farmers at the village level. This community service activity aims to empower village communities to support agricultural independence through the construction and utilization of horticultural seed houses. This program was implemented by KKN-T students from Class 46 of the Indonesian Christian University of Toraja in Tambunan Village, North Makale District, using a participatory approach that directly involved the community, from the planning stage, through the construction of the seed house, to training in proper nursery techniques. The seed house functions as a production center for quality horticultural seeds, such as vegetables and food crops, which can be used sustainably by the community. The results of the activity showed an increase in community knowledge and skills in nursery management, as well as an increase in the availability of superior seeds independently. In addition, this program also encouraged the formation of community working groups that play a role in the sustainable management of the seed house. Thus, this activity is expected to strengthen village agricultural independence and become a model of community empowerment that can be replicated in other areas

Abstract

Massive industrialization in the Cilegon region demands vocational high school (SMK) graduates who are not only mechanically proficient but also psychologically resilient. Transition shock is a prevalent phenomenon among vocational graduates due to the structural disparity between high job demands in the heavy industry sector and low personal resources. This Community Service (PkM) program aims to enhance work readiness by strengthening self-resilience and stress management among 12th-grade students at SMK YPWKS Cilegon prior to entering the Industrial Work Practice phase and professional recruitment. The intervention utilized a Blended Method approach, integrating Interactive Lectures as cognitive transmission agents and role-play-based Focus Group Discussions (FGD) as affective incubation agents. Effectiveness was evaluated through a quantitative pre-test and post-test design involving 40 participants from technical and administrative vocational programs. Empirical data analysis revealed significant improvements: cognitive understanding of stress literacy surged from an average score of 59.5 to 74.3; practical coping mechanism skills increased from 46.2% to 86.3%; and psychological well-being escalated from 91.00 to 107.63. This approach effectively reduced destructive anxiety and transformed mental vulnerability into adaptive resilience. The urgency of resilience is universal, relevant for both field workers and administrative staff. It is recommended that this psychoeducational module be integrated into the vocational counseling curriculum as an upstream Talent Pipeline Management instrument.

Abstract

This Community Service Program was conducted at SMK YPWKS Cilegon with the aim of improving students’ understanding of personal human resource management, teamwork, and time management as essential soft skills required in the industrial world. The main problem identified among students was the low awareness of the importance of coordination, discipline, and collaboration in completing tasks, which often led to inefficiency in group-based learning activities. To address this issue, the program was implemented using an interactive and participatory approach, including interactive lectures, workshops, group discussions, and simulation-based learning through a building tower activity using simple materials such as straws and tape. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in students’ awareness and understanding of teamwork dynamics, role distribution, communication, and time management. Students also experienced a shift in perspective, realizing that successful task completion is not only determined by individual ability but also by effective team coordination. This program successfully bridged the gap between theoretical learning in school and the practical demands of the industrial world. Therefore, simulation-based learning combined with soft skills training is considered an effective method to enhance vocational students’ readiness for future workforce challenges.

Abstract

Financial literacy and understanding of basic financial management are crucial competencies for the younger generation to prepare for a better and more independent financial future. However, many students in Islamic boarding schools still have limited understanding in managing personal finances, such as budgeting, recording income and expenses, and distinguishing between needs and wants. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to provide socialization and education regarding the importance of financial literacy and the application of basic financial management for the younger generation. Through an approach based on interactive lectures, discussions, simple case studies, and simulations of allowance management, this program helps participants understand the basic principles of financial management, cultivate saving awareness, and develop wise and responsible financial behavior. The Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted on April 17, 2026, at the Kulliyyatul Al-Naasyiin Al-Islamiyyah (KULNI) Modern Islamic Boarding School. The methods used in this program included counseling, interactive workshops, and practical exercises in simple budgeting and financial recording. Evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests, as well as observation of participant engagement, was carried out to measure the improvement in participants' understanding and changes in financial behavior. The expected outcomes are an increase in students' awareness and skills in managing their finances in a planned and responsible manner, thereby fostering healthy financial habits from an early age and preparing them to become financially independent individuals in the future
