Abstract

The Indonesian government has taken significant strides towards promoting the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by offering subsidies to the public and encouraging local governments to embrace this sustainable transportation solution. This research aims to assess the preparedness of local governments, with a particular focus on Makassar City, in implementing policies to facilitate the integration of electric vehicles into their transportation systems. Employing a qualitative research approach, this study delves into statutory documents and regulations to gauge the progress and readiness of Makassar City's government in embracing EVs. The findings indicate that while the Makassar City Government has taken initial steps by introducing programs such as the Mobile Doctor Service Car program, Co'mo Car Electric Motor Program (Te'tere), and providing electric vehicles for officials, there is still a notable absence of comprehensive policies governing the use of electric vehicles. To ensure the sustained growth of EV adoption in Makassar City, it is imperative for the local government to formulate and enact relevant regulations, be it through regional laws, mayoral decrees, or other legal frameworks. These regulations should encompass various aspects of electric vehicle usage, including incentives, charging infrastructure, and sustainability practices. Additionally, the study underscores the importance of establishing a robust network of public electric vehicle charging stations to support the growing EV community in Makassar City. These facilities will play a pivotal role in enhancing the convenience and accessibility of electric vehicles for both residents and visitors, thus further promoting their adoption.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and describe how the Population and Civil Registration Office of Payakumbuh City implements the Dukcapil Go Digital program. The purposive sampling method was used to select informants in this study. The information used in this study was collected through primary data obtained from direct interviews, secondary data collected through analyzing significant correspondence, and news reports. Collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing are part of the data analysis procedure. The study reveals that the Dukcapil Go Digital program implementation in Payakumbuh City could be more optimal due to Indrajit's theory's emphasis on optimizing connectivity. However, the Payakumbuh City Dukcapil has not fully utilized the provided technology, leading to insufficient access channels and community control over WhatsApp services. Additionally, the IKD application has not been fully used, resulting in a shortage of human resources. The connectivity and access channel level is also not optimal, as the community still controls services via WhatsApp, and the IKD application is not fully utilized. The Dukcapil Go Digital program requires further optimization to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

This research focuses on the complex issue of coastal waste management, especially in Tanjungpinang City, Indonesia, which has excellent potential to generate coastal waste. This research aims to evaluate the extent to which government policies in managing coastal waste in Pelantar II of Tanjungpinang City have been implemented. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection through literature studies. The results showed that implementing government policies in managing coastal waste in Pelantar II Tanjungpinang City still faced several obstacles. One of the main obstacles is the need for more community participation in managing coastal waste. This is caused by several factors, including the lack of facilities, especially landfills, in the neighborhood. In addition, the implementation of existing regulations could be more robust. These findings underscore the importance of the government and community's roles in addressing the coastal waste problem. The government must improve infrastructure and facilities that support more effective waste management, including developing suitable landfills. It is also essential to strengthen the implementation of existing regulations and raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining coastal cleanliness. The results of this study provide a deeper understanding of the challenges faced in managing coastal waste in Pelantar II Tanjungpinang City and highlight the need for joint efforts between the government and the community to achieve better coastal waste management.

Abstract

This research aims to provide important guidance for the Indonesian Government in responding to pressing social issues. With a primary focus on delineating the level of responsiveness exhibited by the Singapore Government towards such issues, this research utilizes a methodological framework that includes qualitative content analysis and a critical discourse approach. This approach is crucial in understanding the nuanced aspects of responsiveness. The results of this study confirm that the Singapore Government demonstrates a high level of responsiveness, characterized by transparency and a relaxed approach to community engagement, a very important component in addressing social issues. This research provides invaluable insights for the GoI and catalyzes it to formulate more productive strategies to address social challenges. The implications of these findings resonate across the socio-political landscape, strengthening the interaction between government and society. This, in turn, paves the way for the implementation of policies that are inherently more inclusive, ultimately leading to improved quality of life.

Abstract

This study delves into the effectiveness of the Type A Anak Air Terminal in facilitating public transport passenger services within Padang. The research strives to pinpoint relevant informants by employing a qualitative approach involving descriptive methods and purposive sampling. Data was amassed through interviews, observations, and documentation, which shed light on the terminal's prowess in catering to public transport passengers in the city. The study underscores that the Type A Anak Air Terminal falls short of optimal efficiency in providing public transport passenger services. Due to ongoing efforts to develop its facilities, the terminal's core objective remains largely unrealized. Furthermore, the attainment of predefined terminal targets is yet to be fully realized; a marked deficiency in passenger contentment is noted, and a discernible imbalance between input and output exists. These findings collectively emphasize the pressing need for strategic interventions spanning facility enhancement, service refinement, and operational coordination. By addressing these facets, the terminal's effectiveness can be markedly improved, ensuring the provision of gratifying public transport services within Padang. Thus, the study's insights provide a foundation for shaping necessary enhancements to align the terminal's performance more closely with its intended purpose and the expectations of its users.

Abstract

This study examines the online Harmonization Facilitation Services of Draft Regional Regulations (Legal Sector) in 2020-2021 at West Sumatra's Ministry of Law and Human Rights. The research method is descriptive qualitative, and the results indicate that the implementation of harmonization in 2020 was delayed, leading to an entirely online approach. In 2021, hybrid harmonization will be done using WhatApps and the E-Perda Rancak application. The integration aspect of harmonization is carried out online, using WhatApps and the E-Perda Rancak application. The implementation of harmonization of draft local regulations online has led to changes that do not align with objectives. The socialization of harmonization policies in 2021 will be conducted hybrid, involving coordination meetings with the central and local governments. This does not significantly contribute to harmonization, starting from the application procedure to the harmonization meeting of the draft local regulations. The adaptation aspect of online harmonization in 2020-2021 can be adjusted through efforts in human resources, facilities, and infrastructure preparations for the office and parties involved. Coordinating meetings with central and regional governments have contributed significantly to harmonization, from the submission procedure to the harmonization meeting of the draft local regulations.

Abstract

This research explores the motivations behind university students' involvement in Basic Military Training activities for the Reserve Component, revealing a concerning lack of enthusiasm despite established regulations. Using qualitative methodology and NVivo 12 Plus for analysis, this study identified two important factors that shape motivation levels: environmental influences and personal influences. Although environmental factors played a role, it was intrinsic motivation that emerged as the main determinant. Highlighting the importance of nurturing intrinsic motivation, the study advocates interventions such as motivational workshops, mentorship programs, and customized reward initiatives for college students. These interventions aspire to foster a culture of proactive engagement in national defense efforts. The findings underscore the existence of gaps in the motivation levels of students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang regarding basic military training for the reserve component. Nevertheless, through strategic public administration initiatives aimed at fostering intrinsic motivation, the university has the potential to galvanize students, empowering them to actively contribute to the country's defense readiness and efficacy, thereby enhancing the capabilities of the reserve component.

Abstract

This research comprehensively studies the impact of the "Ayo ke Sinjai" app on smart branding in Sinjai Regency. Using a qualitative research approach, this study conducted an in-depth analysis through literature reviews, online media portals, and rarely explored journals. The resulting findings demonstrate the tremendous tourism potential inherent in Sinjai Regency. As a strategic move to showcase this potential, the Sinjai Regency government launched the "Ayo ke Sinjai" application to ease tourists' access to information regarding various exciting tourist attractions. Despite the promising potential of this application, its implementation faces challenges, especially in terms of user accessibility due to persistent technical errors. This interferes with the smooth dissemination of vital information to potential tourists, thereby reducing the expected benefits of the app. This study highlights the many tourism riches waiting to be explored in Sinjai Regency and underscores the importance of resolving technical issues for the "Ayo ke Sinjai" app. A functional and easy-to-use platform is essential to drive smart branding effectively so that tourists can easily explore and appreciate the various tourist attractions in the area.

Abstract

This studies aims to look at the activities of the @Gerindra Twitter account that utilizes Twitter as a digital communication medium for party branding. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method using the VOSViewer application as a research positioning and gap because digital communication research is not the first time. For the data analysis unit, the researcher used the NVivo 12 plus application to see the interactions carried out by the @Gerindra Twitter account. The results showed the transformation of the @Gerindra Twitter account, which previously only carried out branding activities using formal language and seemed rigid. However, the @Gerindra Twitter account has recently become a trending topic on Twitter several times because of its unusual communication style, which seems relaxed and not harsh. In addition, it also often tweets jokes that invite more and more Twitter user interactions. This shows that Gerindra's political party uses Twitter social media to communicate digitally with the public, especially millennials and Generation Z groups.
