Abstract

This study aims to identify and diagnose the performance of educational institutions, namely the X Foundation. This study uses a qualitative research method using the framework of the Open-System theory model from Harrison. The Open-System model is used to understand how the organization processes and interacts with the surrounding environment which also influences work processes within the organization. The data collection instruments used were interviews, field observations, document studies and surveys of Foundation employees. Based on the results of the diagnosis and analysis, it was found that the management and work systems at X Foundation were not effective enough to carry out so that their work results were less than optimal due to the ineffective management of human resources. The intervention plan that is offered is to create a process flow for compiling competencies so that the quality of performance of X Foundation’s human resources can support the achievement of the institution's vision and mission.

Abstract

Several studies have been carried out on the development of real-time gamma radiation dosimeter based on the wireless sensor network (WSN) protocol IEEE 802.15.4. WSN technology can be adopted to develop a gamma radiation dose monitoring system on a large scale due to its real-time, centralized, efficient, and relatively low-cost attributes. This study aims to develop a personal radiation dosimeter that can collect data from the measurement results of several sensor nodes or multi-sensors. The measurement results of radiation dose values from many radiation workers are sent to a coordinator node consisting of the Xbee module and Arduino as a microcontroller. The system test is compared with a calibrated dosimeter reading and is expected to be one of the instruments for determining radiation dose in real-time. It can also reduce the risk of receiving a radiation dose that exceeds the threshold allowed by the ionizing control agency and a program in radiation protection. Changes in the intensity of radiation emitted by Cs-137 (gamma radiation) are carried out by varying each detector's distance to the source, which indirectly varies the value of the dose rate received by the detector. This relationship is shown from the value of R2 = 0.99, which indicates a strong correlation between changes in the dose given to the detector's response being developed. The system built is efficient, inexpensive, and collecting radiation exposure data can monitor radiation exposure received by workers in real-time. This technique can help speed up reporting of radiation exposure received by radiation workers.

Abstract

The village government is a government that channels the aspirations of the people from the community to the hamlet head and to the village hall led by a village head. A village head must be able to regulate and direct the apparatus to carry out quality government services. One of the methods used by the Village Head to improve quality services is to determine the performance of the government apparatus at the Village Hall Office. This method aims to determine the level of quality of the apparatus in the sub-district office. Apparatus assessment was also carried out by Bahung Sibatu Batu Village to determine the level of quality of the apparatus in the Village Hall Office. However, the assessment carried out now is still done manually on the assessment sheet and is still subjective, because there are no aspects of the assessment used in evaluating the performance of this apparatus. In assessing the performance of the apparatus of Bahung Sibatu Batu Village by evaluating which apparatus matches the criteria with the Village Head. The criteria for determining the performance of the apparatus include attendance, attitude, loyalty, responsibility and task completion. In addition to still using the conventional system, the closeness of the Village Head with employees often results in decisions that are different from what they should, this causes the results of the decisions to be inaccurate, so a decision support system is needed using the Multifactor Evaluation Process (MFEP) method.

Abstract

Around 30% of hospital-acquired pressure injuries are caused by the use of medical devices. Children who are treated in intensive care units are at risk for medical device-related pressure injuries (MDRPI). This incident needs to be prevented considering the impact it has, namely prolonging hospitalization, increasing pain, increasing treatment costs, and requiring further care after discharge from the hospital. This review aims to identify risk factors that contribute to MDRPI in children who are in intensive care. A systematic review was carried out through a search strategy on an electronic database. A total of eight articles were selected and quality was assessed using the JBI critical appraisal guidelines. The face is the most frequently affected location for pressure injuries (54.5%), followed by the occiput (18.2%). Factors that contribute to MDRPI in children treated in the intensive care unit are the length of stay in the hospital, age of the respondent, knowledge of the nurse, attitude of the nurse, work experience of the nurse in the intensive care unit, leakage of the NIV mask, duration of device use, and gestational age. It is expected that nurses can carry out accurate risk assessments and apply appropriate interventions to prevent MDRPI events.
