Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) stands as one of the leading non-communicable diseases globally and significantly contributes to early mortality due to its complications. Early identification of high-risk individuals is essential in alleviating the burden of this disease. This study aimed to develop an early detection chatbot for T2DM based on machine learning using the Random Forest algorithm integrated into the Telegram platform. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach following the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The dataset used was the Pima Indians Diabetes dataset, which includes eight key health variables. The model was trained and tested to predict T2DM risk and implemented in an interactive chatbot developed using Python and the Telegram Bot API. The training results indicate that the Random Forest model achieved good performance with an accuracy of 85%, precision of 83%, and recall of 80%, demonstrating the model’s reliable and sensitive capability to detect diabetes risk. The chatbot effectively collects user health data through simple conversational interactions and provides real-time prediction results. System evaluation through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) involving 35 respondents showed a very positive response, with an average score of 4.5 out of 5, indicating that the chatbot is easy to use, informative, and beneficial as an educational and early screening tool for non-communicable diseases. Recommendations for future research include using localized datasets to better represent the Indonesian population and integrating the chatbot with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to enable direct clinical application by healthcare professionals

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a major driving force in modernizing hospital management worldwide. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, and cloud computing play a critical role in improving operational efficiency and the quality of healthcare services. This study employs a systematic literature review design to evaluate the impact of digital transformation on hospital management. This approach was chosen because it enables the identification, critical appraisal, and synthesis of findings from a range of empirical and conceptual studies relevant to digital transformation in hospitals. The review process follows the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) reporting guidelines. The findings indicate that the implementation of digital technologies in hospitals can enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve patient experience and satisfaction. Furthermore, digital transformation supports better decision-making through data-driven analytics and strengthens coordination across departments. However, several challenges remain, including budget constraints, limited technological competencies among staff, and resistance to organizational change. This study provides valuable insights for hospital managers and policymakers in planning and implementing more effective digital transformation strategies. Future research is recommended to explore practical solutions to these challenges and to further examine the potential of digital technologies in strengthening hospital management

Abstract

Diabetic wounds are the most common complication of diabetes mellitus. Ozone therapy is a complementary therapy that can accelerate and improve the healing process of diabetic wounds. The advantages of ozone therapy are its antimicrobial effects through increased tissue oxygenation, stimulation of angiogenesis, and modulation of the inflammatory response. The purpose of this study was to determine how diabetic wounds are treated after ozone therapy. The design used was a descriptive case study using two clients with diabetes mellitus and diabetic wound complications who visited the Mojopahit Wocare Clinic in Mojokerto Regency as research subjects. The results of this study were obtained in subject I, wounds closed faster and regenerated well with a reduction in the area of ??the wound in the subject of approximately 2.13 cm2/day with an estimated wound healing time of 10 weeks, and in subject II, wounds closed faster and regenerated well with a reduction in the area of ??the wound in the subject of approximately 4.67 cm2/day with an estimated wound healing time of 7 weeks. Therefore, ozone therapy is very helpful in the healing process of diabetic wounds and for a nurse to have a role as an educator in providing information, providing services and helping clients in increasing the level of health knowledge, especially about ozone therapy for healing diabetic wounds.

Abstract

Hypertension in the elderly is a chronic health issue that requires continuous care and holistic management strategies. One emerging non-pharmacological intervention is aromatherapy, particularly with lavender essential oil, known for its calming and relaxation effects. This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of lavender aromatherapy as a complementary approach in managing blood pressure among elderly individuals with hypertension. A descriptive study design was employed, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data were collected through direct observation of blood pressure and the accuracy of self-administered therapy, alongside semi-structured interviews conducted over four consecutive days. The findings indicated a gradual decrease in blood pressure following lavender aromatherapy sessions, accompanied by improved accuracy in therapy implementation and enhanced physical and emotional well-being. Participants reported subjective improvements, including reduced physical discomfort, increased relaxation, and better sleep quality. In contrast to previous studies that primarily focused on short-term physiological effects or clinical settings, this study emphasizes the self-administered application of lavender aromatherapy among the elderly in real-life contexts. By integrating both physiological and subjective perspectives, this research provides a more holistic understanding of aromatherapy’s role in hypertension management and demonstrates its feasibility within community-based primary healthcare. The study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on complementary health interventions and suggests the need for further experimental studies with control groups and larger sample sizes to enhance the generalizability of findings

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by high blood sugar levels. If left untreated, it can cause damage to organs such as the heart, brain, kidneys, eyes, nerves, and even gangrene, which carries a risk of amputation. SEFT therapy and Quranic recitation therapy can be used by people with Type II diabetes to promote relaxation, which can help reduce emotional tension and stress. The production of these endorphins hormone promotes feelings of peace and relaxation, thereby reducing the amount of cortisol produced by the adrenal glands, all of which play a role in lowering blood glucose levels. This study aims to determine the effect of this therapy on patients with type II diabetes mellitus, used a time series design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. 54 respondents were purposively selected. The combination of SEFT and Murottal Al-Qur'an therapy was administered for 15 minutes, three times over three days. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and blood sugar level measurements. On day 1 pretest, the mean had blood sugar levels of 286.41 mg/dL, indicating hyperglycemia. Before therapy on day 2, blood sugar levels decreased to 208.52 mg/dL. After therapy, blood sugar levels dropped to 252.78 mg/dL on posttest day 1 and 173.00 mg/dL on posttest day 2. The Wilcoxon test results significant decrease in blood sugar levels, with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05). Nurses working in the Inpatient Ward should increase their knowledge by attending training SEFT and Al-Qur'an Murottal Therapy which can be used as alternative supporting interventions for type II diabetes mellitus sufferers

Abstract

Final assignments are a frequent source of stress for students. Strong spirituality can increase motivation, reduce anxiety, provide a sense of calm, and foster confidence that future events will have a positive impact. The novelty of this research lies in its focus on examining the relationship between spirituality and stress among final-semester nursing students in Bali, specifically at STIKes Buleleng, a region that has not been widely studied and rarely uses the DSES and DASS instruments simultaneously. This study aims to determine the relationship between spirituality and stress levels among final-semester undergraduate nursing students at STIKes Buleleng. This study was quantitative with an observational design with a cross-sectional approach. Data collection used the DSES and DASS questionnaires, using a purposive sampling technique, with a sample size of 71 students. The Spearman correlation test yielded a value of -0.459 with a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). The negative correlation value indicates that there is an inverse relationship between spirituality and stress levels, meaning that the higher a person's spirituality, the lower the stress level experienced. From this study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between spirituality and stress levels of final semester students of the Nursing Undergraduate Program at STIKes Buleleng. Institutions need to strengthen spiritual development programs, provide counseling services and stress management training, form student support groups, improve academic guidance, and encourage further research with a wider sample and additional variables to understand the factors that influence final semester student stress

Abstract

Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus (DM) are common degenerative diseases in the elderly and are closely related, where DM sufferers are at higher risk of developing hypertension. This condition can increase the risk of serious complications such as kidney failure and cardiovascular disease. Management includes a healthy lifestyle (diet, exercise), regular monitoring, and medication as recommended by a doctor. This study aims to determine the Effect of Providing Reminder Cards on Prolanis Exercise Compliance in Elderly Patients in the Mojokerto Community Health Center Work Area. This type of research uses quasi-experimental research with a post-test only control group design. A sample of 68 elderly people who meet the inclusion criteria and the sampling technique used is purposive sampling. In this study, 2 instruments were used, namely reminder cards and MMAS-8 questionnaires and the data test used the Mann Whitney Test. The results of this study showed that in the control group that was not given reminder cards, the majority of respondents were non-compliant with treatment, as many as 22 respondents (64.7%). In the experimental group that was given reminder cards, the results showed that almost all of them were compliant, as many as 27 respondents (79.4%). The results of the Mann Whitney Test showed Asymp. Sig 0.000 ? ? (0.05) which means there is an effect of giving reminder cards on compliance with Prolanis exercise in elderly patients in the Mojokerto Community Health Center Work Area. Prolanis exercise is effective in stabilizing blood pressure and blood sugar levels, because physical activity increases insulin sensitivity and helps maintain the balance of the body's systems, thereby improving the quality of life for those with chronic diseases. It is hoped that to increase compliance with Prolanis gymnastics, Community Health Centers and other health facilities can provide reminder cards
