Abstract

Village X is one of the largest andesite mining areas in Majalengka Regency, with a high risk of workplace accidents due to traditional mining practices that still rely on manual handling. The use of human labor in a manual manner can lead to complaints of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Based on a preliminary study conducted on April 13, 2024, it was found that 5 out of 6 stone miners experienced high-level complaints of musculoskeletal disorders. This research aims to determine the relationship between manual handling work and complaints of musculoskeletal disorders. The research method used is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study consisted of a total population of 40 respondents. Data analysis utilized univariate and bivariate analysis with Pearson chi-square statistical testing. The results of the study revealed a significant relationship between manual handling work and complaints of MSDs (p=0.001). With these findings, it is hoped that mine owners, community health centers, and miners can collaborate to provide appropriate education and training on manual handling. Additionally, it is expected that mine owners will implement balanced work and rest schedules to help prevent accidents.

Abstract

Health services at the community health center (Puskesmas) level, particularly through the activities of Non-Hospital Health Units (UKBM), play a crucial role in enhancing access to and the quality of healthcare services for the community. However, the implementation and documentation of administrative activities for UKBM in several regions often face challenges, such as inaccurate data, lack of coordination among staff, and suboptimal recording systems. This study aims to describe the implementation and documentation of administrative activities for UKBM services in the Puskesmas Tiron Work Area and identify the factors affecting its effectiveness. This study uses a descriptive approach with survey and interview methods. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with Puskesmas staff, and analysis of administrative documents related to UKBM activities in the region. Participants in this study included the head of the Puskesmas, medical personnel, and administrative staff involved in UKBM activities. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of UKBM activities at Puskesmas Tiron has been generally good, but there are still some shortcomings in coordination and administrative documentation. The documentation process still uses manual methods that are prone to errors and data loss. Additionally, there are obstacles in monitoring and evaluating activities, which hinder the efficiency of managing UKBM services. Data analysis shows that the main challenge in implementing UKBM activities is the lack of trained human resources in administrative management, as well as limited facilities and infrastructure to support documentation and reporting. Furthermore, the administrative system that has not been well-integrated causes delays in data entry and reporting, which affects the quality of services. This study suggests that Puskesmas Tiron optimize the use of information technology to improve the efficiency of administrative documentation and minimize errors in data entry. Training and skill development in administration for Puskesmas staff are also essential to improve the management quality of UKBM activities. Moreover, stronger collaboration between relevant parties, both at the Puskesmas level and with other health agencies, should be reinforced to support more coordinated and effective implementation of activitas.

Abstract

The incidence of hypertension in the productive age group in Indonesia is increasing. Treatment of hypertension in all age groups is generally carried out over a long period of time and is sustainable in addition to a regular diet and physical activity program. Many factors affect patient compliance in undergoing a hypertension diet, including motivation. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of motivation on dietary compliance of hypertensive patients of productive age at the Krian Sidoarjo Health Center. This study used a cross sectional approach with a sample of 94 hypertensive patients of productive age (15-59 years) who visited the Krian Health Center. Samples were selected using simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and then analyzed using the Logistic Regression test. The results showed that self-motivation, the most dominant was poor with a frequency of 56 with a percentage of 59.6%, and good at 38 with a percentage of 40.4%. Self-motivation proved to be the most significant factor affecting dietary adherence, with a p value of 0.000 and an OR value of 20.56. Self-motivation is a predictor in dietary adherence in patients with hypertension. The higher the motivation, the higher the patient's dietary adherence. Therefore, more effective interventions may need to combine increased self-motivation with more appropriate education and integrated support from various sources.

Abstract

The immunization program is included in efforts to reduce morbidity, disability and mortality in infants and toddlers. The achievement of complete immunization still has not reached the target. A number of factors are known to influence the low coverage of complete basic immunization. This study aimed to determine the factors that influence the completeness of basic immunization in infants in the working area of the Mojokerto District Health Office. This study used a case control approach, with the population in this study were all mothers of infants in the Mojokerto District Health Office Work Area totaling 16,019 people. The sample in this study was 96 mothers of infants who had met the inclusion criteria. data were collected by questionnaire and then analyzed using logistic regression test. The results showed that there was an effect of mother's education level (p value = 0.000), mother's knowledge (p value = 0.000), and family support (p value = 0.000) on the completeness of basic immunization in infants in the working area of the Mojokerto District Health Office, and there was no effect of mother's employment status (p value = 0.285), number of children (p value = 0.885), and distance and affordability of immunization services (p value = 0.947) on the completeness of basic immunization in infants in the working area of the Mojokerto District Health Office. The positive effect of education level, knowledge and family support explains that the higher the education, the better the knowledge and family support, the higher the mother's motivation to immunize her child. Given the importance of the influence of family support on the completeness of immunization in infants, it is very important to involve the role of families in the toddler family development program so that families participate in supporting the implementation of immunization in infants.
