Abstract

Berdasarkan observasi di SMA Negeri 4 Bungo, ditemukan bahwa belum tersedia sistem informasi untuk membantu guru BK/konselor mengelola data. Pendataan siswa dan pelanggaran masih dilakukan secara manual dengan mencatat di buku dan tejadinya pemborosan kertas. Selain dari itu membutuhkan waktu lama untuk rekap dan pembaruan data. Serta banyaknya data siswa yang menjadi kendala dalam pencatatan data, dan pencarian. Hal ini mengakibatkan guru BK tidak dapat mengetahui riwayat pelanggaran siswa dikarenakan dalam pencatatan dilakukan dalam lembar yang berbeda-beda dan kurang terdokumentasi secara baik. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem informasi bimbingan konseling berbasis web pada SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan model waterfall. Tahapannya meliputi analisis, desain, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan sistem. Sistem ini dibuat menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan database MySQL. Metode pengujian menggunakan black box testing functionality dan usability. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Pengujian functionality mendapatkan nilai dengan persentase 100%. Menunjukan kualitas perangkat lunak dari sisi functionality dapat dikatakan baik dengan X lebih dari 0,5 dan mendekati 1 (Layak) digunakan untuk mendukung pengelolaan bimbingan konseling karena sistem telah lolos dalam uji functionality. (2) Pengujian usability diperoleh hasil dengan persentase 96% (Sangat Layak).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on critical thinking skills on Appreciating the Environment and Local Culture at SMP Negeri 8 Purwokerto. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach. The population in this study consists of Grade VII students at SMP Negeri 8 Purwokerto. The sample size is 70 students, selected through purposive sampling, with class VII D as the experimental group (n=35) and class VII A as the control group (n=35). Data collection techniques include unstructured interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. The research findings indicate a significant effect of the Problem-Based Learning model on students' critical thinking skills, with a significance value of 0.769. This means that the independent variable (X), the Problem-Based Learning model, has a significant effect of 76.9% on the dependent variable (Y), which is critical thinking skills. The results demonstrate that implementing the Problem-Based Learning model significantly enhances critical thinking skills among Grade VII students at SMP Negeri 8 Purwokerto.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a significant difference in students’ understanding of the simple present tense between those taught using puzzle games and those who are not. This quasi-experiment involved a sample of 60 eighth-grade students divided into control and experimental groups, each consisting of 30 students. Data were collected from pre-test and post-test scores administered to both groups. After analyzing the data, the researcher found it was not normally distributed, necessitating a non-parametric statistical test, the Mann-Whitney test, for hypothesis testing. The results indicated that the significance of the Mann-Whitney test was greater than 0.05, suggesting no significant difference in the understanding of the simple present tense between students taught with puzzle games and those not. The researcher hypothesizes that the scope of the material, insufficient vocabulary knowledge, and poor understanding of parts of speech may contribute to the ineffectiveness of puzzle games in teaching the simple present tense.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop the differentiated learning Modul as one of English teaching instruments. As it is required to fulfill one of Merdeka Curriculum characteristics, especially the differentiated learning. This differentiated learning module was designed and developed based on students’ learning styles (auditory, visual and kinesthetic) and students’ talents and interests. This study was conducted using Research and Development method with ADDIE development model. The module development was focused on the series of differentiated learning modules for English in 7 graders. After conducting the analysis, design, and development. The differentiated learning module was validated in term of material and media. The average result in the material validation test was 87,5 % in the very valid category, while the media validation test was 89,5% in the very valid category. Furthermore, the product practicality was found through the questionnaires and product trial observation. The questionnaires were used to find out the perspective of teacher and students toward this developed module. It was found that the module was feasible to be used with the percentage 95,82% for teacher’s questionnaire and 99,15% for students’ questionnaire. Moreover, observation sheet result showed that this differentiated learning module was feasible with the percentage 90,85%.

Abstract

Penelitian dengan judul “Pengetahuan Sejarah Peradaban Dunia Pada Game Genshin Impact” memiliki tujuan untuk : (1) Mendeskripsikan Profil Game Genshin Impact, (2) Mengetahui Setting Sejarah Peradaban Dunia yang terdapat pada Game Genshin Impact, (3) Mengetahui Wawasan Historis dan Ahistoris yang terdapat pada Game Genshin Impact, (4) Mendeskripsikan Peran Game Genshin Impact dalam penguatan wawasan kesejarahan pada pemainnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi dokumen, teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Serta Teknik Analisis Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teknik Analisis Data Model Interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan atau hasil. Simpulan dari penelitian Pengetahuan Sejarah Peradaban Dunia pada Game Genshin Impact adalah : (1) Genshin Impact adalah game online dengan role RPG (Role Playing Game) dengan konsep Open World yang dikembangkan oleh Hoyoverse atau Mihoyo dari China yang dirilis pada tanggal 28 September 2020, dengan pengemasan grafik pemandangan dan penyajian dengan mengambil referensi kultur budaya peradaban dunia, (2) Setting Sejarah Peradaban Dunia yang direpresentasikan kedalam Game Genshin Impact pada regionnya mengambil peradaban Asia, Eropa, Afrika, dan Mesoamerika, (3) Wawasan Historis dan Ahistoris yang kental dan banyak mengambil dari Sejarah Peradaban Dunia yang kemudian direpresentasikan dalam region game Genshin Impact namun dimodifikasi dengan tampilan berbeda supaya variatif, (4) Game Genshin Impact memiliki peran dalam memberikan penguatan wawasan kesejarahan pada pemainnya baik peneliti maupun para informan dan tergantung dari niat, motivasi, dan keinginan dari pemainnya itu sendiri.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the discovery learning model assisted by Canva media in enhancing students’ critical thinking skill on preserving my nation’s culture at SMP negeri 3 Purbalingga. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of class VIII A as the experimental class (n=32) and VIII B as the control class (n=32). Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, observation, and documentation, which were analyzed using paired sample tests and independent sample t-tests, yielding results of 0.000 0.05, indicating that the discovery learning model assisted by Canva media significantly enhances students' critical thinking skills. The experimental class showed an 81% improvement, while the control class showed a 75% improvement. This improvement was evidenced by the students' increased abilities in providing basic explanations, building basic skills, drawing conclusions, providing further explanations, using strategies or tactics, demonstrating curiosity, analyzing arguments, and solving problems with accurate sources.

Abstract

Affective assessment in looking at elementary school students' critical reasoning abilities is considered to need to be analyzed as a complex process of changing students' attitudes in implementing the Pancasila student profile. Analysis involves receiving and mastering data, data analysis, and data evaluation, which must be taught to students because these skills are very necessary in life. The aim of the research was to analyze the affective assessment of elementary school students' critical reasoning abilities in terms of gender. The research method used is quantitative research. The research subjects were 32 students in Class 5 of Keraton 1 State Elementary School for the 2024/2025 academic year, divided into 12 male students and 20 female students. Data analysis used the independent t test. The results of the research show that there is no significant difference in the form of affective assessment of critical reasoning ability, in terms of the gender of class V students. The results of the independent t test obtained a significance value of 0.204 > 0.05, meaning that the average critical reasoning ability of women (3.205) is higher. higher than men (3.085) with a difference of 1.120 which is considered not significant. The results of critical reasoning indicators (seeking information, assessing information, making conclusions, and making decisions) show that there are no significant differences based on student gender. The implication of the research is that teachers are able to improve critical reasoning skills, researchers can then analyze other factors or develop other research objects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effects of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project on the mutual cooperative attitude of students at SMP Negeri 8 Purwokerto. The research method used in this study is descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach. The population in this study consists of seventh and eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 8 Purwokerto. The sample size is 237 students, determined using a simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques employed in this study include questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate a positive and significant impact of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project on the mutual cooperative attitude of students at SMP Negeri 8 Purwokerto. The influence of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project on students' mutual cooperative attitudes is measured at 0.376, which can be interpreted as the independent variable (X) - the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project - contributing 37.6% to the dependent variable (Y) mutual cooperative attitude. This can be seen in the students' mindset, which fosters collaboration and teamwork, social sensitivity and concern, and a sharing attitude.

Abstract

In a globalized era, the transformative impact of technology on language education, particularly through platforms like TikTok, has become increasingly significant. This systematic literature review aims to assess the effectiveness of TikTok as a medium for enhancing English speaking skills. Acknowledging the paradigm shift caused by digital communication tools, especially social media, this review addresses the existing gap in comprehensive research on TikTok's efficacy as an educational tool in the context of English language instruction. Driven by the increasing commonness of TikTok in daily communication and its potential for creating dynamic and interactive learning environments, this study critically examines the impact of TikTok on the development of students' language skills and proficiency. The study adopts a critical viewpoint to evaluate innovative approaches utilizing technology in language education, highlighting TikTok's effectiveness in English speaking skills. The findings aim to critically contribute valuable insights for educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers, challenging assumptions and providing nuanced perspectives on the implications of incorporating TikTok into English language education.

Abstract

This research examines the patterns of classroom interaction and the speech functions used in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classes at MAS As’ad, Kota Jambi. The research utilizes a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze spoken interactions between teachers and 11th-grade students, with data collected through classroom observations and video recordings. The analysis is guided by Sinclair and Coulthard’s (1992) classroom interaction model, Walsh’s (2011) framework on classroom interactional competence, and Eggins and Slade’s (1997) categorization of speech functions. The study identifies the prevalent interaction patterns in the classroom and investigates how these patterns facilitate or hinder students' language learning. The findings revealed five distinct patterns of interaction: (1) teacher eliciting exchange, (2) teacher directing exchange, (3) teacher informing exchange, (4) student eliciting exchange, and (5) student informing exchange. The speech functions exhibited a variety of moves between the teacher and students, with both parties contributing almost equally to the interaction, indicating a well-maintained exchange process. These findings suggest that classroom interaction patterns significantly influence student participation, providing opportunities for comprehensible input and feedback. Further research is recommended to explore the impact of these interaction patterns on students' academic achievement. By highlighting the importance of balanced communication roles and the need for meaningful interaction, this research offers valuable insights for educators aiming to improve classroom dynamics and foster a more engaging learning experience.
