Abstract

Abstract:. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of Project Based Learning (PjBL) of writing skills on Science teaching materials to elementary school teachers candidates.This research used experimental methods (single-one group pretest-posttest design) with instruments such as portofolio assessment sheets, observation sheets, and  questionnaire sheets .The effectiveness of analyzing used n-gain and t-test .The subject of this research is elementary school teachers candidates who contracted “Science Learning”subject  in a program study teacher education of elementary school at University Muhammadiyah Cirebon. The findings of this study has produced a contextual book for Science teaching material. In addition, there is an increased of elementary school teachers candidates who prepared the teaching materials in a printed form relevant to the needs and characters of the students as well as the curriculum. It is proven by assessments that the ability rose significantly from 2,71 (category  is adequate skill) to 3,83 (category is skilled) and supported by the n-gain value  at 0,87. Based on the t-test count of 8,050 larger than t-table 2,045. Recommendations from this research is that PjBL as a learning model could become one of the alternative learning models to improve writing skills material for elementary school teachers candidates.Keyword: Project-Based-Learning, science-materials-teaching, elementary-schoo-teachers- candidates. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis efektivitas Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan menulis bahan ajar IPA Calon Guru SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen (Single-One Group Pretest-Posttest Design) dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar penilaian portofolio, lembar observasi, dan lembar angket. Efektivitas dianalisis menggunakan n-gain dan uji T. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa calon guru yang mengontrak matakuliah Pembelajaran IPA di Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon. Temuan penelitian ini telah menghasilkan buku ajar cetak IPA yang kontekstual. Selain itu, keterampilan calon guru dalam menyusun bahan ajar cetak yang relevan dengan kebutuhan dan karakter siswa serta kurikulum yang berlaku juga meningkat. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil penilaian yang meningkat signifikan dari 2,71 (kategori cukup terampil) menjadi 3,83 (kategori terampil) serta didukung oleh hasil n-Gain yang tinggi yaitu 0,87. Selain itu berdasarkan uji T diketahui bahwa t hitung sebesar 8,050 lebih besar dari t tabel yaitu 2,045. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini model PjBL dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis bahan ajar mahasiswa calon guru SD.Kata Kunci: Project-Based-Learning, Bahan Ajar IPA, Calon Guru SD.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran montessori berbasis alat peraga matematika berbahan limbah karet spons terhadap partisipasi aktif siswa kelas 5 SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen (Pretest-Posttes Control Group Desaign) dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar observasi, lembar angket, dan lembar hasil belajar siswa. Pengaruh dianalisis menggunakan n-gain dan t-test. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5 yang ada di Kecamatan Klangenan. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran montessori berbasis alat peraga matematika berbahan limbah karet spons berpengaruh terhadap partisipasi aktif siswa kelas 5 SD. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata hasil postes siswa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan sebesar 28,70. Adanya perbedaan rata-rata skor posttes hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari nilai signifikansi (P-Value) faktor pembelajaran sebesar 0,000 0,05 H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa mata pelajaran matematika materi sifat-sifat bangun datar antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol setelah pembelajaran dilaksanakan.

Abstract

Kecamatan Kelangenan merupakan industri sandal karet di Wilayah Cirebon. Dampak dari melimpahnya produksi sandal berbanding lurus dengan jumlah limbah karet dari sisa pembuatan sandal. Limbah karet sandal belum dimanfaatkan dan diberdayakan secara optimal oleh warga setempat. Maka diperlukan upaya pengelohan sampah karet sandal menjadi alat peraga matematika SD. Tujuan Kegiatan IbM untuk membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru sekolah dasar tentang pembuatan alat peraga matematika dengan menggunakan bahan dasar limbah karet sandal. Kegiatan IbM dilakukan dengan cara memberikan penyuluhan tentang manfaat dan kegunaan alat peraga, pelatihan membuat alat peraga matematika berbahan dasar limbah anorganik karet sandal dan pendampingan terhadap guru-guru-guru SD tentang implementasi alat peraga dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas. Bantuan penyuluhan dan pelatihan diberikan kepada guru di SD Negeri 1 dan 2 Jemaras Lor dari dinas pendidikan, UPT Pendidikan Kecamatan Klangenan, Ketua LPPM UMC dan Tim Dosen FKIP UMC. Hasil dari kegiatan IbM adalah guru mendapatkan ilmu tentang manfaat alat peraga dalam pembelajaran matematika dan cara membuat alat peraga, guru lebih kreatif karena telah menghasilkan 10 alat peraga matematika yang ekonomis, siswa sekolah dasar menyenangi proses pembelajaran matematika dilihat dari hasil tes rata-rata nilainya lebih dari 70.

Abstract

The School Literacy Movement (GLS) is an overall effort to make schools as a learning organization whose make all residents at school are literate throughout their lives through public involvement. Various parties who can drive this activity include school residents, stakeholders and the community. It aims to jointly own, carry out, and make this movement an important part of life. The aims of this research are to determine whether the existence of school literacy movement based on local wisdom can develop the character of students, how to link the school literacy movement based on local wisdom in order to develop the character of students in and how teachers’ perceptions of and other stakeholders regarding the school literacy movement. This research is using qualitative research. The subjects in this research are the students of SDN 2 Tuk and several other informant. The research subjects taking by using purposive sampling technique. This literacy activities based on local can develop the character of students. In this activity, researcher and teachers class have provided literacy-based learning by giving assignments that related to the value of local wisdom, as writing how to make emping and writing the history of the village of Tuk. Abstract

Metacognitive was the student’s skill in the process of acting (activity) and thinking (mental process). This skill could improve their learning process and memory. Student who had metacognitive skill will be able to control and to arrange his learning activity by himself. Active participation was the interaction both physically and psychologically to think, to interact, to try and to find new things in the learning process. The purpose of this research was to find the relationship between active participation and the metacognitive ability of students, especially in elementary school. This research was a correlation study. Population of this research was 5th grade students in SD Negeri 3 Klangenan academic year 2017/2018. Sample was taken using purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by observation and written test. The instruments for active participation was observation sheets and the instrument for metacognitive ability was a multiple choice test that consist of 20 questions. The data was analyzed using correlation technique using IBM SPSS Statistics 16.0 for windows. Based on the data nalaysis, it was obtained was 0.682. At a significant level 5% then was 0.413. Based on value then it showed that there was a positive and significant corelation between active participation and metacognitive ability of students 5th grade SD Negeri 3 Klangenan.

Abstract

This study aimed at (1) to figure out the process of the students’ learning in reading comprehension on narratives through Cirebonese local content as based text material at the second grade students of SMPN 1 Jatibarang and (2) to find out the result of the student’s achievement in reading comprehension by using Cirebonese local content based text material in improving their comprehension on narratives at the second grade students of SMPN 1 Jatibarang. The research focused in the second grade I students of SMP N 1 Jatibarang Kabupaten Indramayu in academic year 2017/2018 which consist of 37 students.The study was classroom action research (CAR). The steps of the study are planing the action, implementing the action, observation, and refleting the action. The use of Cirebonese Local Content in reading comprehension can also improve the learning outcome. It can be seen from the results of the study showing an increase in students’ reading comprehension, which is shown by the students’ mean score of reading test results from Cycle I to pre-action activity increased from 64.9 into 76.5. The number of students who achieved a completeness study in the pre-action stage are 14 students. In Cycle I students' mean score increased to 76.5 with 22 students who passed the completeness score. Abstract

This study investigated about the flouting of Grice’s maxims in The First Grader movie. This study concerned on finding the types of flouting maxim that occur in the movie and examine the reasons why the characters of The First Grader movie flouted the Grice’s maxims in the dialogue. The present study employs descriptive qualitative research, by analyzing critically each conversation occurr in the movie. The data of the study were in the form of utterances that contained a flouting maxim. The context of conversation in the movie also took a part as the evidence if it is flouting maxims. Implicatures that caused by the speaker is also become the important element in investigated the reason why those maxim are flouted by considering the linguistic context, cultural context, and situational context. The results of the research showed from twenty five utterances that indicated flouting maxim, all types of maxim were flouted in the movie. They were maxim of quantity (18,5%), maxim of quality (22,2%) , maxim of relation (29,6%), and maxim of manner (29,6%). From the finding and analysis, the writers concluded that in several conditions the characters of the movie were flouting the maxims because of some reasons. The major reason that occur in the movie are to give sarcasm, to express angry, and to convince someone. Keywords: Cooperative Principle: Flouting maxim: Context of conversation: Implicatures, Movie;

Abstract

Pandemi merubah pola proses pendidikan yang semula tatap muka menjadi dalam jaringan (daring). Pembelajaran daring yang dilaksanakan selama ini berupa pemberian tugas untuk mencatat dan mengerjakan soal-soal yang ada pada buku paket melalui Whatsapp Group, dampaknya peserta didik mengalami kejenuhan dan motivasi belajar pun menjadi menurun. Guru perlu berinovasi dan berkreasi untuk menampilkan pembelajaran daring dengan cara menyenangkan melalui berbagai aplikasi pembelajaran yang menarik. Salah satu media yang mendukung kreativitas guru dalam mengajar daring diantaranya menyajikan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) melalui aplikasi liveworksheet. Tujuan kegiatan PKM ini memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan penyusunan LKPD untuk guru-guru SD sehingga, mampu menciptakan pembelajaran daring yang inspiratif, interaktif, menyenangkan, menantang, dan memotivasi peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PkM ini meliputi 3 tahapan (1) observasi pembelajaran daring yang dilaksanakan di sekolah, (2) pelatihan penyusunan LKPD menggunakan aplikasi liveworksheet, (3) pendampingan dan evaluasi implementasi LKPD menggunakan aplikasi liveworksheet. Rangkaian kegiatan ini telah mampu meningkatkan motivasi peserta kegiatan yaitu guru-guru SD dalam menyusun LKPD online menggunakan aplikasi liveworksheet. Selain itu, peserta didik merasakan adanya perbedaan belajar yang signifikan dari pembelajaran yang biasa dilakukan, 100% guru mampu membuat LKPD interactive. Ide pembuatan LKPD 10%, memasukkan gambar dalam LKPD 70%, memasukkan video dalam LKPD 80%, memasukkan video dalam LKPD 50%, Komponen LKPD bervariatif 30%. LKPD Interaktif dengan menggunakan liveworksheet dapat digunakan di seluruh wilayah Indonesia sehingga proses belajar menjadi lebih mudah dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the pedagogic competence of teachers from different school context in employing digital literacy. To achieve this goal, qualitative research by involving observation and interview as the data collection technique. The result revealed that both teachers met six of the seven measures of teacher pedagogical ability. This study, afterward, used qualitative design. After conducted the research, the researchers drew conclusion that teachers’ upgrading in digital literacy is very important. Both private and state schools that have been observed, all teachers are equiped enough in digital literacy. Both English teachers employed digital literacy in all section of pedagogic competence including to master the characteristics of student, learn theory and principle, develop curriculum, carry out lesson plans, develop the potential students, communicate effectively with students, evaluates the process and learning outcomes of student.

Abstract

This research focused on the Implementation of Hybrid Learning itself. Document analysis was one of the qualitative research methodologies used in this study. The location chosen for this study was an EFL international class that offers hybrid learning. The implementation of the hybrid learning model was carried out in academic year 2021/2022. The video recordings of the hybrid class were used in this study as documents. The author ran three tests in the documentation checklist to obtain results. It was carried out to investigate if hybrid learning could be utilized in the classroom. After doing documentation checklist and sharing questionnaire the results obtained turned out not to be fully learning done hybrid because there are some points not achieved.
