Abstract

This study aims to find out What kinds of student learning styles in Learning English and what learning styles are most commonly used by students in learning English. This study uses quantitative research methods, non-probability sampling techniques with total sampling techniques. The sample in this study was 47 respondents. The results showed that the learning styles that generally exist in English learning are visual learning, auditory learning, and kinesthetic learning. The learning style that is most widely used in general is the visual learning style.

Abstract

Major depressive disorder is one of the most common types of depression. This condition is characterized by feelings of depression, anhedonia, changes in cognitive function, changes in sleep, appetite changes, and guilt that lasts for two weeks and is characterized by loss of interest in or enjoyment of usual activities. Sufferers are usually aged 40 years and above, but nowadays, sufferers include teenagers and children. This study used a qualitative method by conducting interviews, listening to the viewpoints, and describing people with major depressive disorder as a data collection technique through reviews journals from PubMed and video interviews of survivors of this disease on social media platforms, which are then summarized from various background stories of survivors This depression contains bothersome things such as difficulty concentrating and sadness for an extended period. The causes vary from genetic to environmental factors. This article examines how the environment influences the causes and also the curative factors in major depressive patients.

Abstract

This reflective essay undertakes an in-depth examination of the transformative dimensions inherent in the role of a Puan Bisa Ambassador, the program designed to facilitate the empowerment of young Indonesian women. The program, orchestrated by Puan Bisa, strategically centers its objectives on the spheres of mental health, self-improvement, and career development. With a deliberate intent to dismantle entrenched societal barriers stemming from patriarchal cultural norms, economic constraints, and a deficiency of parental support for educational pursuits, the author meticulously elucidates their engagement in a structured training regimen comprising three distinct boot camps. These intensive sessions meticulously address pivotal subjects, including Mental Health, Self Improvement, and Career, culminating in the creation of substantive social media content crafted to exert a positive influence on its audience.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi adalah pendekatan pembelajaran yang memungkinkan guru untuk memenuhi kebutuhan individu setiap siswa di kelas. Dalam prakteknya, guru akan menghadirkan materi dan aktivitas yang disesuaikan dengan tingkat pemahaman dan gaya belajar masing masing siswa. Tujuan dilaksanakannya model pembelajaran berdiferensiasi ini adalah untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik atau keunikan peserta didik (kesiapan, minat, dan gaya belajar) sehingga peserta didik berkembang sesuai potensi bakat dan minatnya.

Abstract

Seiring berjalannya waktu pendidikan di Indonesia terus mengalami perubahan yang menghasilkan metode, model maupun desain pembelajaran demi kualitas pendidikan yang lebih baik dan menjawab tantangan serta perubahan yang terjadi dari masa ke masa dengan menerapkan kurikulum merdeka belajar yang bertujuan menciptakan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan serta memberikan kebebasan bagi para guru dalam pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan minat, bakat serta kebutuhan belajar peserta didik. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi merupakan modifikasi empat elemen terkait kurikulum yakni konten, proses dan produk yang berpengaruh pada kebutuhan, kesiapan, minat, dan profil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka di SMP Negeri 3 Paguyangan. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi sudah dapat diterapkan dengan baik, pembelajaran sudah tidak terpusat pada guru dan peserta didik diberi keleluasaan untuk lebih aktif dan kreatif sesuai dengan kebutuhan, minat dan bakat belajarnya. Kurikulum merdeka belajar dapat diterapkan dengan mengutamakan berbasis proyek dalam rangka menerapkan profil pelajar Pancasila melalui kegiatan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila atau P5 sehingga proses pembelajaran tidak terfokus pada aspek pengetahuan tetapi menekankan juga pada penguasaan karakter.

Abstract

In this world, technology has become an indispensable tool for driving social change and community empowerment. And, when it comes to innovative ideas and fresh perspectives, students are often at the forefront of advancing new solutions. Student-led technology projects have emerged as a powerful means of creating impact and change within our communities. From implementing mobile apps and websites to harnessing the power of data analytics and artificial intelligence, students are leveraging technology in innovative ways to solve some of today's most pressing social issues. Through such projects, they learn valuable skills and gain experience that can propel their future careers. But, most importantly, student-led technology projects are empowering communities and creating sustainable change from within. By harnessing the passion and energy of our youth, we can make a lasting impact on society that transcends beyond the boundaries of our campuses.

Abstract

This journal is entitled Challenges of peer instruction in an undergraduate student-led learning community: bi-directional diffusion as a crucial instructional process. The research paper discusses the benefits and challenges of learning communities (LCs), which offer learners opportunities to engage in authentic learning experiences within real-world or simulated professional communities. The research paper gathered data through interviews, Slack conversations, field notes, and artifacts related to StandUp, a socio-technical system. The study aimed to understand how students and peer-instructors influenced the implementation and advocacy of StandUp within the teams.The study examined the engagement of student leaders in implementing the StandUp practice, revealing unexpected patterns that existing theories could not predict. The findings suggest a bi-directional diffusion process in Student-Led Learning Communities (SLLCs), in which peer-instructors and students mutually influence each other''s decisions to advocate and participate in practices. The paper investigates the instructional processes that emerge when peer-instructors attempt to teach students an authentic project management practice in student-led learning communities (SLLCs). The researchers propose a bi-directional diffusion model to describe instructional processes in SLLCs, highlighting the challenges peer-instructors face in persuading students to engage in disciplinary practices and the influence students have on peer-instructors.

Abstract

Bug bounty is one of the programs in the field of Cyber Security with the purpose to finding and uncovering vulnerabilities in technology company ecosystem. Researcher focusing on the security field will play a critical role to the success of bug bounty program with their expertise in security system and deep understanding of the technology. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of bug bounty and its benefits in improving company security system. Qualitative methods were used for collecting and analyzing the data. The results show the importance of bug bounties as the right solution for developing and maintaining security company ecosystem. It is hoped that this paper can serve as a reference for companies to consider the adoption of this program. In the future, this research can develop further by involving effective communication between researchers and the companies to obtain more up-to-date data.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of halal certification and marketing mix consisting of product, price, promotion, place (4P) on increasing sales of MSEs in Kebumen Regency. The object of this study is MSEs in the food and beverage sector that has been halal certified through the self-declaration scheme. The sampling technique used a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling method and a sample of 83 respondents was taken. The results of the study showed that the value of the halal certification variable was 0.004 <0.05, meaning that the variable had a significant effect on the sales increase variable. The significance value of the product quality variable was 0.000 <0.05, meaning that the variable had a significant effect on the sales increase variable. The significance value of the price variable was 0.001 <0.05, meaning that the variable had a significant effect on the sales increase variable. The significance value of the promotion variable was 0.418> 0.05, meaning that the variable did not have a significant effect on the sales increase variable. The significance value of the location variable was 0.000 <0.05, meaning that the variable had a significant effect on the sales increase variable. Overall, halal certification, product quality, price, promotion, and location have a significant effect on increasing sales with a significance of 0.000 <0.05 and an Adjusted R-Square of 66.8%, which means that they can contribute to increasing sales and the remaining 33.2% is influenced by other factors not discussed in this study.

Abstract

This research explores empowerment strategies for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the tourism sector through the adoption of digital innovation in Grenggeng Village, Karanganyar District, Kebumen. The village optimizes the potential of local resources, particularly pandan weaving products, as the main commodity of the creative industry. MSME empowerment is realized through the formation of the Productive Business Group Margo Rahayu and collaboration with the Village-Owned Enterprise, which plays a role in supporting the production and marketing of local products. Through a participatory approach, the community is actively involved in economic activities, strengthening managerial capabilities, market access, and using digital technology. The research results indicate that although there are obstacles, such as limited raw material supply and climate change, collaboration between the community, village government, and related agencies can improve community welfare and preserve local culture. This study suggests enhancing human resource capacity and technological support to strengthen the competitiveness of digitally-based MSMEs in tourism villages.
